Wonderful place for shopping, place that you can find everything as shop, toilet and parking not very convenient but possible . Nice atmosphere very good shops, all kind of. Very busy in this time of the year, the opening hours ok but closing at 5.30 pm some 6pm . Safe walking around. Located in town centre close the station ( buses also trains). Good market outside as well.

The shopping center itself is fairly good, with ample parking in the middle of town. Plenty of shops to visit with a vast array of different shopping experiences. It's just a massive shame that some shops seem to only be around for a few months at most, especially the smaller businesses and not the larger chains. (Not sure if it's just the climate we are in at the moment or rent/business rates are too high)

It’s not as good as eastgate but it’s still good, underrated and has a reasonable amount of shops in it.

Good range of shops. Inside so good for all seasons. Seating areas, lifts, toilets. Can buy jewellery to suits, gifts to curtains.

Was kinda disappointed with the shops in the mall but that's not why I gave a low rating, the male bathrooms were absolutely atrocious. There were two stalls, one which had a door so close to the rim of the toilet that you had to practically squeeze by to close it and another which is big enough to be two. And even then it was obvious that the toilets had not been cleaned in a while. The day I went they didn't even have soap in the dispensers. I was told that the female bathrooms were better though.

Nice a bit more classy than outdoors. No good shoe/trainer shops though. Lovely cafe though to sit down and relax. Indoor toilets.

Loads of different shops, many chains but s few local small businesses. An ideal indoor local shopping centre right next to the train station. Warm, clean and spacious.

It's OK, the lighting needs improving in the public areas. They have probably changed to energy efficient lighting, this has reduced the light to a gloomy level in most areas.

Great little, local shopping mall. Has all the stores we need including some high street brands too. Could do with a bit of modernisation but overall a lovely little mall cut through.

Unsure where to write this but hey ho, we visited the grotto yesterday which was very disappointing. My daughter knew as soon as she walked in that it wasn’t the ‘real’ Santa because of his black beard overshadowing what should’ve been the white Santa beard. Upon entry, the sign said £5, yet unsure what this was in return for. We only found out at the exit of all the extra prices which I felt was misleading considering seeing £5 on the entry. All in all, if you are going to employ a ‘Santa’ perhaps ensure he is clean shaven or even wearing a white beard that fully covers any real beard.

Surprisingly more shops than expected prefer to previous visits. Pretty busy as its Christmas period. Pleasantly surprised

Visited this place quite a lot recently , all to collect Lola’s cake from collection unit. It is very handy for locals to have all in one place with wheelchair accessible doors and restrooms. Unfortunately no great restaurants or a cash machine available and places are not sign posted and I ended up in walking all the way from one end to another to find the cake collection locker. A digital map located next to lift could I save my 30 minutes. Parking is bit cramped and prices are bit heavy than outside with old fashioned parking coin to collect at entrance. Good luck for people visiting the place without pocket or wallet just like me who walks around with a phone for everything.

Like most shopping centres this was very busy considering most people are not in a good place right now with a good selection of shop to choose from not bad 😀

After moving to Stevenage from south, the this is the first shopping centre I visited. Looks so congested and less airy. Didn't like it. But I think there are good shops inside.Didn’t spend much time to explore.

It's one of the largest malls in London. To roam around you need at least 4-5 hours . So it's better to visit a little early so that you will get enough time to roam. If you are hungry they have many restaurants with a variety of cusine. You will be tired by the time you come out.

It's clean, there are a couple shops inside but seems a tad outdated. Maybe I went on wrong day or time but it was very quiet

Was told on phone it had good range of upholstery items. I asked about a certain fabric, lady was clueless. Wasted trip. Closing down signs. Departed a bit sharpish.

I stopped at Max Spiemman to get my passport photos, which is recommended and Westgate has more shops open, so it is worth a visit

The polka dancing festival paired up with the balcony yodelling shows that the Westgate centre has really risen to the challenge presented by out of town retail sites. I see there is an axe-throwing and face.painting coffee morning for the kiddies coming up and I bet it won't get the.publicity it deserves

Good shopping centre, although quite drab and run down. The toilets were horrible and not well maintained. Shops in the centre include The entertainer, h +m and river island.

  • 4/5 Lorna E. 8 months ago on Google
Great for shopping if you hate busy places! Toilets could be maintained a bit better.

  • 3/5 A A. 7 months ago on Google
Its definitely a nice local place for shopping. But with few big stores closed, I would like to see some more known or local brands to fill the gap.

Quite clean, lots of parking (multistory), decent selection of shops and nice food from the central cafe. Gets busy mid-day to mid-afternoon on Saturdays.

Lots of lovely shops, though some are quite expensive. But it's not a bad place to shop

Visited Westgate to go to John Lyons Jewellers to pick up my wife's bracelet that they repaid after it broke, the photo's show the damage, and its perfect now! They are our go-to Jewellers if any of our jewellery needs a repair. They repair onsite and are very reasonable when it comes to the cost of repair. Pay this Jewellers a visit if you need any repairs to your jewellery.

Easy to get around. Car parking available and two lifts to get to car park levels. Fair selection of shops and a nice coffee shop 👍

Went over Christmas period but lack of atmosphere. Parking expensive. In future will consider Roaring Meg and Welwyn first

Most shops are now open and inviting shoppers into store. Shop staff are very pleasant, welcoming and willing to help and advise where needed. The centre has hand sanitisers at both main entrances and a one way system in place. It's just a shame that most shoppers ignore the one way system and you spend a lot of time trying to dodge them and get out of the way. This system needs monitoring and action taken against those that are ignoring it, if this was undertaken it would be a more pleasant shopping experience and would be marked as more than 3 stars.

West gate is not a lot to do for no body one floor of shops and some staff in thoses shops have a attitude to the public … so I don’t recommend this at all …it’s a very dull place inside !! No flowers no beauty that stands out nothing …

Does the job. Needs a clean. Normally get what I want but find it slightly unnerving to walk around.

Iti looks very old and comunist. The lighting is poor, they should switch to led lights and add more lights, it's depressing. Shops are fine, mainly with clothing!

The glass lifts are very efficient as they are nice kone m series but they need Russian Hardbass playing in the lift blyat!

Shopping centre ? Mmm based on other shopping centers in the UK it's not that great. Hopefully with the regeneration of the town centre they will make some changes. But it's clean and a good little cut through to the town.

  • 3/5 Chace' R. 2 years ago on Google
Compared to other shopping centres this is a bit washed up, lemme explain... Don't get me wrong there's some good shops (moss, river island) , you just about have a h&m, but that's basically where it stops. it you have odd shops like a shop for baggages, a shop for scented stuff, phone stalls, a vape shop and shops with do random bits and pieces, IF your looking for a big clothes shopping spree then avoid, walk back to the station or car and go Cambridge 🚶‍♂️ If your after a phone case that doesn't fit properly or a suitcase or maybe wanna visit a shop dedicated to Tottenham then tag along🤠🤠

The Westgate shopping centre is small in comparison to many, but it contains several major brands and a good selection of cafes. A well stocked two story M&S with a footbridge link to the large town multistory car park at one end links to the twin levels of the shopping mall with an integral multistory car park and well stocked branches of Boots and W H Smith at the other end.

Great selection of stores. Also a number of little cafes and shops, so easy to meet up with friends and grab a coffee.

  • 2/5 Sylvanian M. 2 years ago on Google
The high street and small centre is dying. There are only a few shops now. Nothing much to browse. It's clean in the centre.. That's really all I can say about it. Don't waste money to park in the town.

REVIEW OF "THE ZONE" Absolutely shocking customer service. Tried bullying us into paying for a sweetie that my son had supposedly put in his mouth even though he hadn't! They had me stand in the shop while they searched for the "incident" on CCTV but they couldn't find it, because it didn't happen! They need to learn some manners, learn how to speak to customers and learn the law! I would have been happy to pay the £1.50 for the sweetie if I was approached in a decent manner whether the incident happened or not! I would absolutely not recommend anybody to visit this store. They threatened to call security, but didnt pull through. Bullying behaviour!! Staff were extremely rude during this ordeal.

Clean and tidy, but ,that is all can be said. It is pretty much like any other shopping place....except...this is now feeling dated. Could do with some innovation, particularly with the variety of outlets.

  • 4/5 Tiffany W. 1 year ago on Google
Its abit different from the last time I went but it still have good shops and places to grab a drink or food, also be sure to check out the vendors they sometimes have great gifts for birthdays or Christmas

It's ok, used to be very good but they are only a few recognisable stores left. Many pop up shops or stores selling cheap goods. Quite poor for the main shopping area in Stevenage which on the whole now is pretty shocking.

Walked through there is toilets here I far as I am aware. Places to eat and a few shops to look at.

Fine still mostly filled. Some local shops, not all nationals. Worthwhile with a good largeish coffee bar in the middle.

  • 1/5 Colin R. 1 year ago on Google
Typical, boring, mundane, forever swept indoor shopping area,to the local chavs it's a Shopping Mall (OH YEAH). People sitting drinking coffee while their little mistakes in life run riot and many people on their I phones etc having their daily (he said/she said) conversations.

👍 Dropped my daughter off as she works in one of the shops there and thought I'd pop into B&M to get some tea bags. As usual I ended up spending loads more than intended as I always find so many bargains in there. Great shop!

👍👍 I am always able to get most everything I need or want. I also like the fact that it's only pedestrian. The only thing that let's it down is the sixties/seventies concrete look.
