Pleasant clean shopping arcade. Has a few good independent shops here too which is nice to see. Many shopping in smaller towns suffer from long term vacant units. Thankfully Taunton's Orchard isn't one of those. In the only empty one I did see they had implemented a clever idea by covering the front with a full size print of a florist shop.

Great little shopping mall in the hearth of Taunton, wide range of shops inside, from jewellery to food to go, also there’s clothing stores and gaming also. It’s covered and there’s internet connection inside, there’s a small area with benches so people can have a seat. I recommend this place for quick shopping or for a quick bite.

Good place to come for a browse. There are some shops that are boarded up. Toilets seem to be hard to find and it's get very very busy at peak times. Would suggest going when kids are at school.

good parking adjacent with new and more efficient lift access. Centre has limited but good variety of stores. Compared to some town centre malls, this ain't too bad.

Go there for the Savers shop. Significantly cheaper for health & cleaning products. Happy cheerful helpful staff too.

A great place to shop in Taunton, we like to go int to Forkin Porking, they do a great meal for around £7.50 with pork, roast potatoes, stuffing, apple sauce and gravy and we have found one meal is enough to share at lunch time, we have been there a few times and love it.

Good range of shops next to a multi storey car park. Worth a visit if you are willing to fight your way through the horrendous Taunton traffic!

If you can avoid being sold Sky TV by a man who would probably sell a treadmill to his one-legged 90 year old grandma, then you can bask in the delights of a 1970s shopping precinct that peaked about 20 years ago. Small and, when it's been raining outside, slippery, this is your average English town "Shopping Experience". There is two holiday businesses next to each other, to create the ultimate sales challenge. New Look probably headline the stores here as a half decent store. HMV the once powerful and omnipresent store. Fallen on hard times these days, but still commands the respect it earnt in days gone by, so we'll move on... Some place that sells dry bits of plants and fruit and apparently it's all edible. Nothing looks edible. Claires accessories. The quintessential destination for all glamour models under 15. Two gaming shops, one called Game. Its well known despite having spent £1 on choosing the name. The other you won't have heard of is a private company and don't have the buying power of Game but thought setting up opposite them would somehow be a great idea. There is a really cool shop that sells paraphernalia from TV shows and films. The back entrance to Hatchers is here. Hatchers for those of you who have not graced their floors before, it's a rather old and independent department store. Largely unchanged since the breakout of WW2 you can browse a huge variety of overpriced things. There's even a cafe upstairs which takes me back to my childhood. They used to give you a metal washer to go to the toilet but they've done away with the washers now, probably because people were melting them down. Warren's bakery is a lovely bakery. The oldest in the country according to them. No complaints. The food is delicious. My personal favourite, Greggs is also present. Home of the best sausage rolls in the world. I have the t-shirt. Despite their being two bakerys and an outdoor eating area here, they took away all the bins. Then they charge you a fine for littering. I can't begin to explain the stupidity of it, so just put the bin back. Thanks.

Good open space, the loss of Debenhams detracts from the experience and ability to shop for certain items, with the only comparable alternate being John Lewis. If you're after Fat Face, HMV, Schuh, Apple and other such outlets it works well.

Wide variety of shops, would usually visit here for specific purpose. Pop up stands in the middle and would be great to have a bench or two inside.

It's ok. A few empty shops, and the lovely seating area in the middle has gone. Now the middle has no seating (anywhere actually) and the very middle is bare, just nothingness.

Shopping centre was ok, but beware of the multi storey car park, the underside of my car took the brunt of a carb that was completely obscured from view, whilst I was wanting to park in a disabled bay,one of my jacking points completely ruined!!! Broke off!!!!!BEWARE!!!!!

I don't miss these environments yet had to travel into a bigger town to buy tennis shoes. Passed through but they don't have much that I would want to look at.

It was ok, but at the end of the day, just another shopping centre with little to distinguish it from hundreds like it.

  • 2/5 Marliyn R. 1 year ago on Google
This place lacks big named shops. The shops like Superdrug and card factory are good but to buy clothes I would have to go to Bristol or Exeter. Why hasn't Taunton got the shopping right .We do have a decent Primark so we have to be glad of what we have.
