A little devoid of main retailers and quite a few empty and closing down units shame really but there doesn't seem to be the footfall there once was. Still a clean and tidy place although could probably do with a bit of a face-lift and a little more investment

Plenty of shopping options, numerous car parking lots and convenience of public transport options. This is a fantastic shopping mall where you can find everything you need. It is kept very clean and maintained very well. Tesco near this shopping center is also amazing. So is KFC and Tim Hortons. Can spend a whole day without boring. Would visit again with my friends and family.

One of the highlights of this shopping center is its convenient location in the heart of Manchester. It is easily accessible, whether you're traveling by car, public transportation, or on foot. The proximity to other attractions and amenities in the area makes it a perfect destination for a day of shopping and leisure. The Salford Shopping Centre boasts a wide variety of shops and stores catering to different tastes and budgets. From high-street brands to independent boutiques, there is something for everyone. I appreciated the diversity of the shops, which offered a good mix of fashion, accessories, home decor, electronics, and more. It was a delight to explore the different stores and discover unique items.

A very old and weary shopping centre that has seen much better days. Reasonable range of the more down market shops but the amount of security at the doors make the place feel that is a less than desirable place to be. Only worth going to if you are looking for the odd item.

Good selection of shops and food place from Tesco to KFC there is a pure gym and a citizen advice bureau there is plenty of parking I think it is up to two hours free but don't rely on that as a fact be sure to check the car park notice board

This shopping centre is dated but it has a good vibe about it, there are a wide variety of shops, cafes, the market, the Tesco Extra, the free parking - all the raw materials are there. Come on Salford Council, give your head a wobble, shake the money tree and get some private investment into the place. It has so much potential.

Aldi , Wilko , Iceland , Save a lot and many more mega stores in one place. What more do you need ? Great place to buy economically. Forgot Tesco extra is right opposite to this place.

I like this place quite a lot. Major supermarkets, banks, post office, coffee and fast food shops are all within this area. Plenty of parking space, and the shopping centre is usually not too crowded. Good for doing all the shoppings in one go.

It's gone downhill, but most shopping centers are struggling these days so... It's not a bad place for a local shop, some good ones still there

  • 2/5 Matthew W. 3 months ago on Google • 52 reviews New
It's *okay*, there isn't much. There are brands here I've never heard of. It's mostly vape, charity and betting shops. Honestly if you're on the 100 bus, stay on until trafford. This place needs a major refurbishment, there's always mop buckets catching water from the ceiling.

3 hours FREE, yes, FREE parking wonderful if you like charity shops + all usual shopping precinct shops and cafes.

  • 2/5 Christian W. 1 year ago on Google
Can’t complain about expensive stuff here because all the shops are bargain bin outlets, charity shops and fast food. Actually KFC was expensive but I had a voucher which saved me some cash. The bus stops were expensively remodelled last year and are only slightly worse than before. The roads are much less bumpy these days which allows most locals and all taxis to reach massive speed around the shopping centre. As a Salford Council Taxpayer, I like to think the Council have tenaciously flogged this dead horse for much longer than any other and should be commended for giving the people of Salford something to remember the good old days of beautiful buildings constructed with heaps of civic pride.

  • 5/5 Maxine Ann B. 1 year ago on Google
Very quiet, filming taking place. Bus stops are conveniently placed for shoppers coming and going. There's also a pure gym for those who love a workout!

  • 5/5 henry g. 1 year ago on Google
Salford shopping centre has everything real people need for day to day life, you don't need the frills of the Trafford centre to do the daily top-up or the big shop. The local community friends and family are all the frills needed. If you can't buy it here you don't need it.

Celebrating over 50 yrs of the precinct, this place has been part of me and my wifes childhood for a long time. Originally thriving with shops inside and out, now unfortunately depleted of many shops but still has a large number of places to visit for a great shopping experience. Hot food, cafes, travel shops, jewellers and frozen food shops. Alongside are a new Aldi and Tesco outside nearby too. Free parking for 3 hours which helps. Enjoy.

I used to pass by on a daily basis whilst commuting from Whitefield to Walkden for work and I felt it was miserable back in 2015. Just a couple of days ago a very good friend of mine Neville showed me around again and it has changed so much it's unbelievable! Just like Salford is going under complete refurb. There's plenty shops and 4 now only tried Poundland and Costa coffee but can't wait to return again... And again... And again... Peeps of Salford are amazing 2!!!

It's quite surprising how this shopping centre continues to thrive despite the constant opening and closing of shops within its premises. Over time, it seems that the overall experience and range of shops available have somewhat deteriorated. However, despite these challenges, the shopping centre manages to maintain a steady flow of visitors. While the changing landscape of shops may have had an impact on the overall experience, it's worth noting that the shopping centre still attracts a considerable number of people. There is an enduring appeal that keeps drawing shoppers to its doors, even if the variety and quality of shops have diminished.

Lovely old spot. Very good sight from Salford loyal to Salford Royal. Interesting to any Mancunian historian. Shame the butterflies have gone. Salford botanical Gardens stood very near to this spot. Where the ecig shop is I believe.

A sad shopping area these days. The only worthwhile store being a large Wilko, that will soon be history after the company going into administration this week. Absolutely disgraceful how the shopping centre, & all the great shops that used to be there have gone, & that the huge Tesco, & several other supermarkets in a half mile radius of the centre, have sucked the life & vitality out of what should be a showpiece for the City of Salford.

  • 4/5 Boss B. 2 years ago on Google
It has pretty-much everything you need, plus a few things you probably don't (betting shops, amusement arcade, plenty of human oddities.) This place gets a bad reputation as run down but it frequently gets a makeover and all the units are occupied. Nazia Parveen wrote a terrible article in The Guardian about Salfors Shopping City a few years ago called "The slow decline of Salford shopping centre" - since then the place has improved a lot. Only criticism right now is the stage poor indoor replacement for the market which didn't seem to survive lockdown, the old market was quite handy -other places have kept their markets, Salford needs one too. The new "outdoor public space" between the car park and Tesco never seems to be used for community events as it was billed either, just a concrete wasteland with a few bolder and seats to eat your lunch on. Marketing hype I think. Yes, Tesco Extra pretty much sells anything, but if you want to "buy local" it's mostly chains (expect for the new Sports Trader and Better Care charity shops).

Car park space are VERY SMALL, if you're on the bigger side you'll struggle to get in and out for out car due to the lack of space. There's essential shops and banks but this wouldn't be my first place to choose to go shopping. The residents from the flats above are not exactly the friendliest of people
