A few decent shops, but could be improved.

Small shopping centre with not much variation. The Primark is the best thing here and has a big selection of clothing but apart from this and the new look there isn't much else to shout about. Takes a couple of minutes to walk all the way round and I normally come out empty handed.

Car park…. If you have a new car good luck with your wheels and say good bye to you beautiful rims. Do Not recommending.

Possibly busiest area of Lancaster as Primark and New Look there plus rear entrance to M&S. There's access to a pu b plus cafe. Only couple empty shops.

Great community focused church with a great welcome and a family feel. Free cafe on Thursday and Saturday offering a meal to all. Good biblical teaching and a very relaxed atmosphere. A church which serves the community.

Good selection of the standed shops that are on every high street but less of the unique shops that would have made it a better experience . Many charity shops and a unique antique market with lots of books . It's been a while since I last came here so I was saddened that a lot of the old shops had gone. Good museum

Well stocked up with everything you need. Pretty good prices. Could be cleaner though

Very cold "shopping center" that is more like a covered street to be honest. The floors were covered in chewing gum, and stank of cigarettes as lots of people gather to smoke at the doorless entrance. Many stores are empty or closed. We will give it a miss next time.

Unfortunately a lot of shops have shut so theres a bit less browsing, a lot of places to eat, drink and people watch.. and a lot of history

It's ok, though not enough clothes shops. I wish Zara would open a store here. The usual other high street shops are all close by and there's plenty of cafes to choose from if you can get a seat. The Brown Cow pub is the best place for something to eat. The food is lovely and reasonably priced. The staff are welcoming and really friendly.

Lancaster is a place where you will need a stop over to visit it all.or get there early.a great selection of retail shops and some great bars and cafes.the night life is also brilliant.the bars are not to crowded.and the food is spot on.they have all got together and allot of effort into customer service. different themed bars something for everyone of all ages.well worth a day out or a short break.the hotel prices are very reasonable.well done lancaster.I would recommend it to everyone.

Lancaster was a quaint little old town with a very impressive castle and a lovely shopping area pedestrianized.

I recently called into this place and was pleasantly surprised to see an improvement. A better choice of shopping and nice to go to a centre that's not just all charity shops. Marks & Sparks, Primark, Waterstones, Home Bargains and a pound with a mix of independent small shops selling trinkets, pictures, gifts oh and a Perfume shop. Great for nipping in to buy a birthday pressie or gift.

Love the variety of shops here. My favourite is meet the makers where you can get wonderful handmade items. Really unique

We popped into the 'meet the makers' shop (wish I had known it was there before Christmas!) Lovely friendly staff great local products and plenty of choice of crafts. Will definitely be supporting the makers this coming year.

Very well maintained, they should really provide some seats so people can rest and enjoy a sandwich or something ( there used to be some but they were removed)

  • 4/5 David S. 11 months ago on Google
Yes, it's OK, probably the best of the shopping centres in Preston itself - but that's not saying much. Reasonable number of shops.

You can probably get everything you need here! Just that most shops and cafes close down by 5.30 or 6 in the evening. But hey, McDonald's is open till late night!

Had a stroll through the town with my partner & we were impressed at how clean / immaculate & active it was. I think there were maybe 2 empty shops ...a fantastic variety of stores & live entertainment. I'd be proud to to call this town my home if it were. Not short of things to see & do.

Clean and easy to find. A little short on shops these days. There's a lot of empty units.

Gone really downhill in recent years, used to be one of the best parts of town with Lancaster Market, Urbanville, The Pound Shop and Poundworld.. HMV was also so much better in the original building, but nowadays, Marketgate is severely lacking.. (How can they even call it Marketgate, anymore? They removed the market..)

Had to make emergency visit to Lancaster to meet our daughter who had to go to Lancastrr Royal. Whilst waiting we made a brief visit to M&S for a drink( smallest cafe in M&S we have been in!)...the precinct seemed adequate for the place but wasnt enourmous.

It's a typical indoor shopping area. Handy parking below, plus toilets. Gift shops maily plus clothes and food. Couple of cafes

It is in the centre of Lancaster. All the big shops are within walking distance. Lancaster has some of the most friendly people in the North of England.

Security think they can harass members of the public and demand answers because of photography outside in public. Disgraceful, avoid this authoritarian place.

😐 Oh dear.... Poor old Morecambe town centre, sad as it seems, if it wasn't for this 70's lump in the middle it would have completely died! In fairness to the centre it's reasonably full of shops, but Iceland, Poundland, and other such high end stores. The centre was well maintained and clean, maybe a...
