Went
in
here
today
to
use
the
toilets
and
pretty
much
walked
straight
back
out
again.
I
went
to
use
the
disabled
ones
and
they
were
all
padlocked
shut
bar
one.
This
one
wouldn’t
open
so
I
waited
for
around
10
minutes
in
case
someone
was
in
there,
however
nobody
came
out.
I
gave
up
and
went
into
the
regular
toilets…
I
wish
I
hadn’t.
They
stank
of
stale
urine
and
there
was
toilet
roll
discarded
all
over
the
floor.
I
went
to
the
end
cubicle
on
the
right
which
didn’t
lock,
so
tried
about
5
other
stalls
which
all
either
didn’t
lock,
had
no
paper
in,
or
were
blocked/overflowing.
Some
I
walked
past
even
had
no
door!
Complained
about
the
state
of
the
toilets
to
the
attendant
who
was
present,
but
he
seemed
too
preoccupied
tickling
the
floor
in
the
same
spot
over
and
over
with
a
brush,
rather
than
to
listen
to
the
concerns
I
raised.
Due
to
the
state
of
these
toilets
I
decided
to
leave
and
walk
up
the
St
John’s
shopping
centre
instead
to
use
theirs,
which
are
far
better
maintained.
On
my
way
out
however,
two
young
ladies
were
heading
to
use
the
disabled
toilets,
to
which
a
security
guard
stopped
them
to
question
where
they
were
going.
After
they
had
explained
they
needed
to
use
the
disabled
toilet,
he
claimed
they
did
not
look
like
they
had
any
form
of
disability
and
forced
them
to
use
the
regular
toilets.
As
someone
with
an
invisible
disability/illness
myself,
this
interaction
has
made
me
wary
to
visit
the
core
again,
as
I
worry
how
the
rest
of
your
staff
are
willing
to
treat
other
individuals
who
‘do
not
appear
disabled’.
