It's handy for the multi storey car park. There's good disabled access throughout. There's some toilets. A few shops. And that's it really. I feel 3 stars is about all I can give it.

Great little mall, few shops empty but they've popped some ping pong tables in the empty shops so the little ones had a go, great idea. Fantastic toy shop, perfume shop, watch repair, card shop, bodycare to name a few. Toilets available which were clean.

Sadly, this shopping arcade is no longer viable as the shopping experience is no longer available from when it was first conceived. Needs a rethink for future use. Good place to avoid rain showers, though, and keep the shops that use this facility open.

It's a very tired & dated place. Now just the usual, Greggs, card shops & cheap tat. New Look is still there. I did find 2 things to buy that was nice but that's it. I think we just went in to get out of the freezing winter weather. Was very quiet & you can see the damage of the cost of living crisis.

It's not a huge place for a town centre but shops there are varied and nice. You need to walk outside the centre where you will come across some varied and quaint little shops and independents

A Very busy Saturday afternoon to busy for me. But there were a lot of shops to visit. A cafe on the ground floor next to the moving stairs and there was a lift as well.. Toilets on the 1st floor.

Too many empty units. Plenty of choice to eat. Maybe the rates are too high for new businesses to trade here. Shame but that's the story in a lot of malls. Foreign owners who don't care. That's why it only gets 3*. It needs more shops.

Nice and bright, such a shame there is so many empty shops. Surely it would be better to charge a lower rent and have a full centre than higher rents and no shops, guess its the usual greedy landlords same in every town centre across the country.

I wish this place was more lively, I know there are plans for it in the future which hopefully will breathe some life into it.

Just looks more empty every time I go think the rent price wants to be lowered and get some shops rented out 50% of something is better than a 100% of nowt right

Parked up on double yellow lines with blue badge, got back to the car and got a parking ticket, wasn't there for more than 3 hours, not Guna Scarborough again, cost me £35 even tho we sent pictures of the car with blue badge in it, Brunswick shopping centre was half closed, bit of a waste of time.

This shopping centre used to have a lot more in, but the shops that are left are worth visiting. Very accessible with lifts, escalators and plenty of toilets too. A good place for grabbing some Christmas presents!

Reliable car park and fair selection of stores ranging from food/drink, toys, stationary products and beauty. Though they often feel dead and/or avoided.

Tired and run down with half of the units closed. What is there is clean and tidy with security staff available to advise on some matters. Some good shops but, in my opinion, not worth going in unless using the expensive carpark or keeping out of the rain. There is a small cafe with seating. A lovely gift shop with unusual items. A couple of clothes outlets and a card factory. One or two other outlets but can't remember all of them.

My husband and l went with my grandson here yesterday. We all needed to use the toilets and wished we hadn’t even gone in! The ladies were disgusting, sanitary towel blocking one toilet, vomit on the floor or another, urine all over the floor of a further one and the other one wouldn’t flush. There was no way l was going to use these toilets. When l came out my husband and grandson too had had to come out of the gents due to the filthy toilets and doors missing. Cleanliness is non existent in the toilets and needs to be looked at ASAP.

Started out not impressed. Many shops closed. Worse was to come. Went to use public toilets.... 2 cubicles with the doors ripped off. Paper and faeces on floor. Rest of cubicles blocked. Almost threw up in disgust. Cleaner not doing much as far as I can tell.

Visited many times, good car park and location for the town. A small number of shops for me, but still enjoyable experience. The cafe does amazing coffees too.

On life support thanks to the retailers giving this company its rent payments hardly a shopping centre more of a whose closed up this month O2 most recent and where has the ping ball room swopped units with. It is supposedly been redeveloped in the New Year with a cinema multiplex. Scarborough still awaits cinema promised in March 2017 so that's never happened. Now in these tough times will this project make it and will retailers supporting the current situation be rewarded with outlets and rents in the new set up?

This has to be one of the dullest shopping malls in the UK. The few shops in there are distinctly middle of the road chains like Next & Holland and Barret. No cinema & not even a Primark . Honestly the Wilko's over the road is more of a draw.

Nearly all the shops have closed down. Ok if you want cards, toys and to eat. Good points it houses a Romans store and next.

My last visit here busy and thriving couldn't help noticing the difference some 4yrs later still seems popular but with some empty shops well worth a visit and the shops surrounding

Its a shopping centre that really needs brought up to date it serves a purpose and is a massive improvement on the town centre I saw on my last visit back in the late sixty's, the hole of the town centre has improved

Decent amount of shops. Parking was easy enough, plenty of spaces right in the shopping centre car park.

  • 3/5 Katarzyna T. 1 year ago on Google
There isn't a lot left in there at the moment. From all of the shops on Upper floor you've got Next, New Look, Roman and I think it's called Select if you want clothes shopping and there's also a phone accessory shop and a toy shop and that's all. Downstairs there's Clinton cards and toiletry shop and then they've got a barber, book reading area and a table tennis play centre and 2 or 3 other shops and that's all there is left unfortunately. The car park upstairs is ok and reasonably priced for Scarborough.

First thing you need to know if your parking your car here is make sure you have cash on you. The parking meters only take cash, and you pay upon leaving. Secondly, there is/was supposed to be a new modern cinema complex within the Brunswick shopping centre, but sadly this hasn't been the case. All there is, is screens covering the entire wall of a once used area that used to be a Debenhams. There's a few small shops selling mobile phones, clothes, perfume, toiletries, and odds and sods. Other than that, it's a bit disappointing.

Really sad to see so many shops have closed down after covid. Not much Christmas atmosphere and staff not exactly friendly and helpful in any of the shops I visited. So quiet on a Saturday afternoon it was easy to park in the Brunswick car park even with a train strike on today.

Lovely, clean, bright shopping centre which is, like many other centres, suffering from the closure of major retailers. Its sad to see so many empty retail spaces. On the upside there are some good facilities, low cost parking, a Cafe and even free Ping Pong unit which is great for the kids. There were families in there having a great time. The toilet facilities are also very clean and well maintained. You won't find anything extraordinary here but it does what it's supposed to do.

Been many times and loved it, this time disappointed and looked uncared for, tatty. It didn't have the usual feel to it. The cafe downstairs was good for a drink but even there they seemed to be rushing to get you out so they could go. It just seemed sad but then I got that feeling about the whole of Scarborough town centre.

Very busy and clean. One of the lifts were broken which was a pain as someone disabled. Thankfully there is a glass one but this was a lot smaller. Shops were lovely and managed to find a few treats.

Empty of shops on lower level, very few people visiting despite Westborough having good footfall. Looks like a place struggling since Debenhams closed, despite hard work of staff on the ground keeping place looking good and clean.

Impressive the use of empty shops to support citizens activities! October 2022: Impressive how fast the place became derelict again!

Be aware, you can only pay cash for parking. There is no signage regarding this until you try and pay at the machine. There is no assistance or advice available until the barrier buzzer. The staff member we spoke to was very rude and hung up when I asked for his name to out in a complaint. Would not park there again.

We parked up on ground floor and entered Brunswick shopping centre. Well equipped with up and down escalators both floors having good variety of shops from barbers shops clothes shops a few of these well worth looking around . Both floors first and second level have plenty of different shops. A definite must if you go to Scarborough , a very good feel place to stroll around and take in the good variety of shops and watering holes to quench ones thirst.Enjoy, we certainly did.

A few reviews on here slating the centre for having a lot of empty shops, however they all fail to mention that it is to be revamped (big signage on display)with a new cinema complex and I’m sure new retail outlets and restaurants will follow
