Beware:
FALSE
ADVERTISING
by
Manna
My
boyfriend
and
I
were
excited
to
go
to
Manna.
Being
celiac,
we
chose
the
restaurant
based
on
the
large
number
of
gluten-free
(GF)
choices
on
the
menu
online.
When
we
arrived,
we
were
told
that
almost
NONE
of
the
menu
items
listed
as
GF
were
actually
GF.
The
waitress
suggested
I
could
have
the
Avocado
slices...not
even
joking.
We
took
a
30
min
bus
ride
there,
basing
our
decision
on
their
online
menu
with
plentiful
GF
options,
to
have
avocado
slices?!
I
can
have
that
at
home,
thanks.
Why
advertise
a
meal
as
GF
when
it’s
not?!
There
was
a
couple
behind
us
having
similar
frustrations
regarding
a
nut
allergy
-
items
that
were
listed
as
not
having
nuts
apparently
did.
Manna:
If
you
don’t
want
to
serve
customers
with
food
allergies,
then
fine
-
but
don’t
advertise
yourselves
as
such.
Either
get
a
dedicated
frier
for
non-gluten
containing
foods
(not
that
hard,
and
you
have
plenty
of
them
which
would
warrant
it),
and
don’t
have
nuts
in
food
listed
as
not
having
nuts.
Just
a
warning
for
anyone
wanting
to
go
to
this
restaurant
based
on
their
apparently
accommodating
menu.
Hopefully
you
like
avocado
slices.
