I came for Sunday brunch and had pretty high expectations because of the Google reviews and the photos on the website. However, I have a feeling the restaurant changed owners recently because the food was really bad. By far the worst vegan food I’ve ever had and not at all like the pictures. It was a really disappointing experience and our group is feeling quite sick now from the food. The place is also crazy overpriced, I cannot believe they dared ask £19 for some reheated food without any spices.

Food is okay, nothing special but that’s not the problem. The staff are very very rude. They have always been a bit like this but one recent example, my two year old son was looking at the bees painted on the wall of their outside area, causing no harm, as there was no one even sitting there (it’s empty more and more these days), and the owner came and told him off and said he can’t be stood there. I’m guessing the poor guy was having a bad day, but I still don’t think it’s acceptable to behave like this. We only used to go because we live very close by, but we’ll not be visiting again, and and advise anyone else to chose somewhere else, most places are better.

I can only assume that at some point over the pandemic this restaurant went under new ownership. I originally visited in 2018 and it was such a special and lovely dining experience with impeccable service and delicious food, and a warm, romantic atmosphere. The only thing the new owners seem to have maintained are the high prices, which used to be perfectly justified. The service was bad to the point of being quite hilarious - seemed like they had never run a restaurant before. Or possibly never been to a restaurant before... The food was fine but portions were small, they were vague about allergens and nothing like as good as it once was. A real shame.

I have never had a worst meal that I dearly overpaid in my life. Food was awful - feeling sick now - and the service was just unbearable. A waste of time, money and tastebuds. the old reviews are very misleading, they belong to the old business with a different owner and clearly a different chef, don’t be fooled by the pictures! They are not from the restaurant. Clear to say I will never be coming again. Beware and spare yourselves and wallet!

Located close to chalk Farm Station and just a few minutes from Primrose Hill this restaurant has a hidden gem quality being away from the hustle and bustle of the busy Camden scene. This isn't 2020's vegan Junk food its great home cooked meals that feel they are made with lots of love and attention. The restaurant has a chilled grown up vibe. The roast was amazing, complete with vegan Yorkshire. Great selection of desserts on offer, I recommend the crumble. We were told about a wine and cheese night, and we are all in!

Beware: FALSE ADVERTISING by Manna My boyfriend and I were excited to go to Manna. Being celiac, we chose the restaurant based on the large number of gluten-free (GF) choices on the menu online. When we arrived, we were told that almost NONE of the menu items listed as GF were actually GF. The waitress suggested I could have the Avocado slices...not even joking. We took a 30 min bus ride there, basing our decision on their online menu with plentiful GF options, to have avocado slices?! I can have that at home, thanks. Why advertise a meal as GF when it’s not?! There was a couple behind us having similar frustrations regarding a nut allergy - items that were listed as not having nuts apparently did. Manna: If you don’t want to serve customers with food allergies, then fine - but don’t advertise yourselves as such. Either get a dedicated frier for non-gluten containing foods (not that hard, and you have plenty of them which would warrant it), and don’t have nuts in food listed as not having nuts. Just a warning for anyone wanting to go to this restaurant based on their apparently accommodating menu. Hopefully you like avocado slices.

Have been to Manna several times. Absolutely love the quality of the food. The atmosphere is so nice that I took my partner here for our first date. She absolutely loved the food, so much so that it helped open up her eyes to becoming vegan. I really like the spaghetti 'meatballs'. She really likes the raw lasagna. You also can't go wrong with the 'bangers' and mash. All foods are presented to a professional standard. Kudos to the chef. We will definitely be back the next time we visit primrose.

Lovely vegan restaurant and nice and friendly staff. The vegan Sunday roast and tofu on fried polenta were amazing, as the desserts too. The price is on the standard of Primerose Hill, obviously if you are searching for a cheap junk food, this is not the place for you! We will definitely visit them again ☺️

I'm always on the hunt for a fully vegan Sunday lunch, and Manna's is one of the best - and only! If you're looking for a 'roast' - they serve a seitan wellington, toppped with a stuffing ball and a rich, umami-laden mushroom gravy. We had two types of potatoes - roast and dauphinoise - and even got a vegan Yorkshire pud. This felt like a treat, a delicious meal, and we will be back to try everyhing else on the menu. It's great to go somehwere which serves only vegan food - and food which is organic, nutritious and low salt and sugar. If you are a vegan for health reasons, have allergies, or just prefer eating real whoolefoods rather than 'frankenmeats', this is the place for you! Thanks Manna London!

My wife and I turned up for a confirmed lunch reservation at Manna to find the restaurant was closed for maintenance. We received no notification or courtesy call/sms/email to let us know our booking would not be fulfilled. I subsequently sent two separate emails to complain and received no response. My wife was 39 weeks pregnant and I had booked it as a special treat before our due date and we were both extremely disappointed. We were very much inconvenienced and the complete lack of apology or customer service is not acceptable.

Had a mid week meal and a Sunday roast and both were amazing. Caroline and Rob are the lovely, caring and friendly owners and kindly gave us extra nibbles to try free of charge during our Sunday lunch. Even if you’re not vegan go in and let your taste buds tell you what amazing food they serve. Definitely back again next time in London.

As a Yorkshire lass I have missed Yorkshire puddings since I became vegan and really appreciated the quality of Manna's vegan version, along with their presentation of a traditional Sunday roast. Together with the quality of the food was the friendliness of the hosts and the delightful artwork on the walls. This restaurant isn't afraid to acknowledge its love and respect for animals, which chimes with my own.

Mystified why Manna isn't busier as the food and the service is faultless. Vegan restaurants sometimes skimp on the cheeseboard. Not here. Delicious cheese board with a great selection of cheeses, some made by Manna. The blue and the truffly camembert were stand outs. Accompaniments of fruit and chutney with homemade bread and crackers which were surprisingly light and delicate. A perfectly seasoned Sunday Lunch that came with just the right amount of everything including potatoes two ways, roasties and Dauphinoise. Also cauliflower cheese, a dab of mushy peas, sweet, sweet carrots and that vegan Holy Grail of an amazing Yorkshire Pudding. Breadier than non-vegan yorkies, but the taste and the texture was just right. Best so far! Just when you think you're too full here comes a trifle that is so creamy that you float away into food heaven, with homemade Manna branded shortbread. 😁 We also tried the delectable lemon and blueberry slice with a gorgeously subtle rose flavoured ice cream. It's been a long while since I've wanted to cry because the food was so good. Here it is. Come to Manna... X

I took my family there recently and can’t believe how well my kids enjoyed the plant-based dining. They loved the bangers and mash and they commented how the sausages tasted so nice compared to the shop bought vegan ones. We were lucky to eat outside and the service was very attentive. They also welcomed feedback on the dishes too as they were trying out new menu options. I tried the new savoury pancakes which again was very tasty. I love the way the vegetables were not cooked to limp status but still had some crunch in them which means the nutrients are still going to nourish the body. As the dishes were freshly cooked for each of us (again another positive sign they care about the freshness of their ingredients) it can take slightly longer but the patience was worth it. We were also able to try out their vegan cheeses in prep for their cheese and wine evening they are planning to do. It is very rare to find a restaurant business that is plant-based, organic, unprocessed (even the chocolate brownie as raw and tasty), unrefined sugars. They clearly care about their food offerings which means they care about their customers. We will be back to try out their other dishes as well as the Sunday roast.

Manna, which I learned is the oldest vegan restaurant in London, combines a high quality dining experience with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the surrounding area is beautiful. I would gladly visit again.

We visited today and we received a warm welcome. Seasonal and locally sourced ingredients! We had a delicious Sunday lunch; the Wellington was amazing! a lovely trifle dessert which had different flavours of homemade ice-cream, jelly, sponge and fresh berries. Thankyou for a wonderful meal and overall experience. We'll be back next time we visit London.

Shared the Manna traditional vegan Sunday Roast with a friend - he was extremely complimentary and impressed with the quality, quantity and the delicate vegan Yorkshire pud; finished off with the best ever English trifle delight...

Highly recommend a meal here. New management, and they are wonderful. Loved the brunch and Sunday roast we had - special shout-out to the strawberry lemonade and lemon sorbet. Great service as well. Half of us vegetarians, other half omnivorous - we all loved Manna!

The place is very cozy, all food is vegan. Unfortunately, we were sitting in the space next to the door. So the doors would keep opening since it is winter season it can get a bit chilly and frustrating as the doors would constantly be opened and closed. Other than that the place was very nice. Would recommend.

We had the croquettes,, onion rings and maki rolls to start. The croquettes were good, though bottled sauces were a let down. The maki rolls were okay. The onion rings were probably the stand out dish and best I've ever had. Whole rings of onion in a very crisp batter. We both ordered the Caribbean main. Both of us sent it back. We were looking forward to a well spiced curry and a jerk kick on the tofu. Both were a disappointment. Our replacement mains were the sausages and mash, and the enchiladas. Both were fine though nothing to get excited about. The sticky toffee pudding was good, moist, sweet and well balanced with ice cream. I last came here seven years ago. That feels like a good timeframe for a revisit.

I celebrated my birthday at Manna. It was my first 100% vegan restaurant experience in London. The staff blew me away with their professionalism and attitude. The food was delicious, and the portions were surprisingly big. We ate bangers and mash, raw tacos and a salad, for dessert we had toffee pudding and berry cheesecake. My next on the list is mushroom risotto 👌

The Sunday roast was amazing, well sourced fresh produce all delicately seasoned to let the natural flavours do the talking. And so good to have vegan Yorkshire puddings!!! Furthermore Manna show perfect hospitality with a lovely friendly and personal touch.

Me and my partner popped in for a Sunday roast this weekend, we ended up having a 3 course meal that was absolutely delicious. Atmosphere is cosy and staff were very attentive and friendly. The food reminded us of great home cooking, exactly what you want from a roast dinner on a cold winter Sunday! Everything was clearly prepared fresh and tasted comforting and indulgent. Whole menu is vegan and very fairly priced. Really enjoyed our visit!

Love the place.. don’t complain any more about food in London even if you are not vegetarian. Have nice walk near the park and take the plate. Nice menu perfect temperature for food. Sometimes they heat all together if that is hot menu.. but this house have own their’s character one plate! Enjoy 😉

Came here to celebrate my 50'th birthday and my almost 10 years as a vegan. Only to find out that the restaurant is also 50 years on the clock. My family and I had a very nice dinner and desserts and where all very happy and literally stuffed when we left. Highly recommended.

Delicious food and espresso. The kale was lush as the side but raw in my main course, the only thing I did not like food wise. The interior is lovely, it'd be nice if the toilets were a bit more 'welcoming'.

EDIT: Have come here a few times now. Wonderful people, wonderful food - especially the roasts! And the cheese plate. Probably my all-time favourite restaurant! Incredibly fresh food. Very friendly and welcoming, this is a real gem of a place. We had the Sunday roast and it was delicious, it really shows fresh food is the best. we also tried the cheeses and were amazed that everything was vegan. over the moon we found this place, we will be back!

A trip to Manna never, ever disappoints and is our main reason for leaving the house on a Sunday afternoon. The service is second to none, where we feel looked after and appreciated. The Roast is legendary and they have managed to improve on perfection still. How? I do not know… The food is fresh and beautiful, and the warm mince pies and custard are just BEYOND. My Son’s allergies as well as veganism mean we can never have a Yorkshire pudding… well that is until we discovered Manna.

The place is not that bad but the food does not have any flavour. The spaghetti with veggie balls was horrendous the sauce was from a can straight to the plate. The price is not fear and they charge you an extra 16% for service even when we were waiting for the main course mor than 30 minutes. I won't come back again.

The service is very good here but the food is not up to standard. It’s a vegetarian restaurant so I hoped and assumed the food will be really good but unfortunately it wasn’t . Lack of flavouring and tasted dry. They really need to work on making their food better maybe speak to the chef or something . Not returning back unless they do something about fixing their flavouring on their food . 3 out of 5 stars . Average.

I went to this place with a friend. I had the organic pasta of the dayand my friend had roasted root vegetable masala. Despite coming here for many, many years, I was very surprised recently to be told our young child could not eat a croissant as it was a vegan restaurant. There was nothing on menu he liked. Appears most of the staff were wearing leather shoes, so slightly hypocritical if on ethical grounds. Definitely put me off revisiting, which is a shame. Perhaps staff need to be trained in dealing appropriately with customers.

Good reception, good starters. However we found a hair in one main meal. They said they’d make another but the other main was finished by the time it came out. Then the new main had undercooked risotto and by this time we had well and truly peaked. Poor reflection on what has been a great place to visit in the past.

It's hard to find a good vegan roast, especially with vegan Yorkshire puddings, but MannaLondon has it nailed. I was blown away by the desserts on offer too, having had an amazing apple crumble with homemade vanilla ice cream. The staff were nothing but kind and attentive. Although on the higher end in terms of price range, the pay off you get in terms of the quality of food makes it worth it. I look forward to visiting again.
