Well worth a visit even if you’re not vegetarian. The menu is varied with options to suit all tastes. You can sense the care and passion Mel and Jo’ have for the food they prepare. The setting is small but homely and welcoming. I’m new to Lincoln but am sure that I’ll be back.

Most diverse food menu ever ?!?! There’s so much choice and it’s completely vegan with the interior being such a cosy, accommodating space. Our food was incredible - I highly recommend the Shanti burger with a side of cheesy curly fries. The vegan cheese was potentially the best we’ve ever had. Side note - cash or bank transfer only which we weren’t aware of until going to pay with card. Not a big issue as there is a cash point not too far away but good to know in advance. Be sure to stop here!!!

Great little Vegetarian & Vegan cafe. Thoughtful menu, with a good range from eggs Benedict to Nepalese inspired mains. Super choice and very reasonably priced. Good tea range too. A must.

A wonderful little café in Lincoln - beautiful atmosphere with all the decorations and style of this place, really easy to book reservations, staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Being a vegan it's difficult to find places with decent vegan food, but here is fully vegan! A great range of food, including curries, burgers, pizzas, salads, fajitas, and more! Desserts are great too! Non-dairy ice cream was amazing and the smoothies are great too. Very affordable as well which is great. Faultless.

Even if you're not vegan, give this cafe a try, the food is delicious 😋. There's a good selection of snacks, mains, desserts and drinks. There's a good selection of ice cream, I've tried 2 flavours and they are delicious. Last time I tried the tofu tikka and it was delicious, it came with a nan bread, poppadom and mango chutney. This time I had the chilli, delicious too. The service is fast and friendly. The portions are a good size and the prices are very reasonable. I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the menu!

Loved this homely little cafe/restaurant. Definitely worth a visit and I would happily go back to try other dishes. The falafel salad was the best I've ever had and is packed with flavour. The banana korma was nice but I couldn't taste any Indian spices which I expected it to have as it is called a korma. Also, I found it too sweet and it's crying out for more umami flavour. The garnishes of banana crisps and chutney unnecessarily add to the sweetness. The cooking of the rice could also be improved. The owners are very lovely.

Excellent range of food to choose from. Great prices too, lovely little cafe. Had the banana korma which was delicious, very good portion size. Will definitely visit again

Very cute bohemian little spot. Affordable menu, great choice of vegan food. Protein shakes and a wonderful cake selection too. Service was attentive and the satmosphere nice and relaxing. Would definitely visit again. They do take out too!

Such a cute, cosy, boho atmosphere here and very reasonably priced! I ordered the Mac and Cheeze Balls and a coconut iced latte (pretty sure they do most mull alternatives) and both were delicious. I loved the Balls as they’re something different and unique, as most Vegan Restaurants solely do just burgers it’s nice for a different option. Staff are lovely and friendly as always, really accommodating and friendly environment. Will definitely be returning h for more of their ice cream and another coffee.

Soul Food It’s not just the food though that is good. (Presentation, value and freshness all 10/10) This cafe is ‘a safe space’, and is cosy, warm and aesthetically pleasing. The owners too, are warm, welcoming and happy to give cooking tips as well as share their recipes. Charity based, they are happy to give a free meal to anyone hungry and in food poverty, so if you ever need to escape the city centre, you need Cafe Shanti. I ever want to leave. ❤️✌🏻

Super dog friendly (they even brought our pup a cushion and served him first!). We just popped in for an afternoon drink so didn’t try the food but the Parma hot chocolate is insanely amazing! Lovely staff who make you feel very at home.

Delicious food, lovely environment and friendly staff and fellow customers. We aren't vegan but thought we'd give it a try and were pleasantly surprised. Hubby had 3 curries, didn't miss meat at all and he loved each curry's flavour. I had Dahl from the specials menu which was divine. Extremely filling and amazing value for money. Will be trying the mountain burger next time, upon the recommendation of a fellow diner.

Super lovely staff and really great food. Were more than happy to change our booking when we needed to. Can't wait to visit again, usually you have to travel further afield to the bigger cities to get vegan food this good so I'm happy Lincoln has Cafe Shanti!

We visited on a Monday lunch time with no need to book. We had the two curry dishes which were tasty and the mac n cheese balls which were really good! Lovely to have a choice of different vegan hot chocolates, smoothies and milkshakes. A lot of choice on the menu. The two ladies working were attentive and polite. Maybe the place lacked a bit of atmosphere but that's only because it was quiet in there. Great to have an all vegan restaurant!

We absolutely love Cafe Shanti, fabulous food, super friendly staff and service and all at a good price. We always visit when we're in Lincoln, best Vegan food around. Definitely recommend Cafe Shanti even if you're not vegan, you won't be disappointed!

My issues are not with the food whilst it has a very limited menu the food was very nice. However the place was small and cramped, the table cloths were dirty and stained and even torn in places Nothing matched with the cutlery and dishes, when they brought glasses out they were a mixture of plain glasses and old beer glasses. Dinning here could be a much better experience if they updated the decor painted and cleaned the place. It had the feel of a dirty backstreet cafe from the 60s or early 70s (for those that can remember that far back) As I have said the food was limited but very nice, if this was a slightly larger place with modern crisp clean decor it could be a gold mine

Popped in wanting a coffee, but the atmosphere was lovely so decided to sit in. Really friendly staff, welcoming and knowledgeable. Following a couple of questions, I was convinced to try a hot chocolate. Honestly, the nicest I've ever tasted. Wasn't feeling very adventurous so just had the all day brunch to eat, but it was delicious. If you just want a sweet treat, the Cookie Slice is my recommendation; so good!

Went to this amazing place Saturday evening. Was greeted by Mel who was very lovely and looked after us so well. I've visited here before but not since Mel and Jo have taken it over. The place is so nice with a great relaxing atmosphere and the food was fantastic! I was very impressed with the menu. It had something for eveyone and very reasonably priced. If you've not been you definitely have to give it a go!

Had a fantastic take away. Huge choice and really was something for everyone. Very large portions (had to save the cheesecake we had ordered until next day as we were so full after the mains!) and excellent value for money.

Can't recommend this place enough. A cafe with great ethics and great food. I had a vegan korma curry with banana in it. Sounds weird, tastes divine. My wife had the vegan breakfast, which was gargantuan. Will definitely be back. We need places like this, and they're constantly in a battle to stay afloat so SHOW YOUR SUPPORT, people/visitors to Lincoln!

This has always been my favourite place to eat in Lincoln, and holds itself to the quality it had with the previous owners. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the food is always lovely. A place to enjoy for vegans and non vegans alike.

Absolutely superb. I would honestly order from this place every day, although a month of eating their cheesecake would likely leave me in a sorry state. I wouldn't care though, as it's amazing. The fajita was perfectly seasoned and tasted delightful, and the jackfruit massala on my hot dog was full of flavour. If you are thinking of ordering, DO IT

Ordered the chili dog with chips and side salad and it was absolutely amazing! As I didn't eat all day I was worried it wouldn't fill me up but as I was half way I struggled to finish it! The portion and quality is great for the price and definitely worth it! ☺️💯

Lovely friendly little vegan cafe, very colourful with fantastic tasty food, well worth a visit for something a little different. Had the loaded chips followed by a very delicious ice cream sundae. A good varied menu of food to choose from.

Even if you remove the fact that this was 100% vegan food - it was delicious food. The burger, salad, bun, cheese and sauce ratio was spot on! Wedges lovely and the cheesecake...WOW NOW factor in that this was a vegan meal from a trusted local source, from a 5* hygiene rated kitchen, delivered promptly and hot, in almost entirely recyclable packaging and you have to double your WOW. For me the biggest test is maintaining quality, so I look forwards to the next meal with anticipation, and will top up my review accordingly but for now WOW WOW WOW and thank you.

I'm a meat eater but was meeting a vegan friend so thought this would be a great idea and it was!! We both had the three curry and rice option, was very tasty and well presented. Didn't leave a thing.

We used to go often under previous ownership and really enjoyed the range of healthy and diverse meals. The meal we had lacked any balance. My advice would be to add more vegetables and balance to your meals. However, the staff were very polite.

Straightforward menu with mainly comfort food: burger, chili, falafel, mac and cheese, loaded fries etc. The restaurant itself is cramped and when we were there it was a bit draughty, we sat downstairs near the door though. I think sitting upstairs might have been better We ordered chili, a burger and onion rings, with a coffee and iced tea. Overall the food was average, nothing to complain about but also nothing special. The exception being the rice which was served with the chili which was very overcooked and the texture of rice pudding. The staff were friendly enough but it's not a place we'd return to.

A cosy restaurant with amazing hospitality and excellent food. Food was delicious, reasonably priced, portions were very generous and worth every penny. I'm not vegan/vegetarian, and I did not expect to enjoy my food as much as I did. It tasted really delicious and fresh. Compliments to the chef! The hospitality was also really amazing. This restaurant really represents love, kindness and comfort. They treated us, our friends and our kids really kindly and even gave the children complimentary cake. We truly enjoyed ourselves and were grateful we choose to eat in here. We will definitely be going back again. This restaurant has my heart ❤️
