This
was
for
a
graduation
dinner
(Congrats
!),
with
Hitchcock’s
having
a
lot
of
hype
surrounding
it
as
it
is
an
exclusive
veggie/vegan
restaurant
in
this
elusive
part
of
the
country.
Having
performed
extensive
research
on
this
establishment,
and
the
varying
menu
varieties
on
the
website,
we
did
not
expect
to
be
surprised
by
our
meal
out
here...as
there
are
numerous
pleasant
and
fewer
not
so
pleasant
reviews,
a
dining
experience
to
polarise.
As
a
concept
we
are
there
with
them,
however
you
can’t
expect
to
run
with
a
different
menu
each
night
and
maintain
quality
in
each
dish.
Our
night
was
Thai
night,
with
some
of
the
dishes
hitting
the
spot,
for
example
the
pad
thai
and
the
cucumber
salad,
as
well
as
the
corn
ball
fritters,
but
some
others
were
in
a
bath
of
oil,
which
seeped
into
everything
else
on
the
plate.
We
think
that
the
desserts
weren’t
really
necessary
or
fit
any
aspect
of
the
cultural
menu,
and
could
save
the
venue
some
space
and
money,
and
most
diners
are
probably
full
anyway.
That
being
said,
LOTS
of
vegan
options.
Food
aside,
the
staff
were
lovely
and
there
is
a
cheap
corkage.
The
venue
itself
is
a
bit
dark,
the
decor
is
quirky
and
daft.
Hopefully
there
isn’t
too
much
food
waste
after
the
night
ends
as
it
is
a
buffet
!
