Very basic market common to any mining township. However range, freshness and choices of vegetables are better than other nearby mines. Main haat is on Sunday however permanent stalls keep skeleton stocks throughout the week. Supported with daily supply of locally grown vegetables in railway station market.

Hilly & mainly forest area with mostly illiterate population. Market wise--most shops with high price of items except a few like Sanjay agarwal's grocery shop, Salim electronics genuine price shop. Majburi ka school and nothing for entertainment.
