Absolutely loved it! What a gorgeous place with unspoilt natural views. Exploring it was a joyous experience for me. I grew particularly fond of the healing ambiance of the whole place. Please stay calm when visiting and try to adapt with the quietness and vibrant atmosphere of the place. Don't litter and be respectful to the local population. Local people are simple, helpful and hard-working. There is so much to learn from them.

I Visited the Sanctuary for the second time with my friends for half day trip with bikes. On my opinion please start your journey at 12pm-1pm from Jamshedpur you will reach at the top of the Hill at 3-4pm, then you can see the beauty of sun and other things. We see some wild animals like Elephant ๐Ÿ˜, Deers, Moneys etc, please safe your chips packet ๐Ÿ˜… because monkeys love to eat he can steal your chips. Our chips was gone on a blink of eyes ๐Ÿ˜…. The road was not good but you can visit easily with bikes. The top has a temple and an Ashram to visit . Please use all PPEs and maintain your speed.

This sanctuary is ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž awesome. As the view of this wildlife sanctuary is unique and beautiful. This place is always full of crowds. The scenery about this sanctuary can't be explained in words. If you have visited this sanctuary then only this place will be fantastic ๐Ÿ˜Š. Such a lovely place to do a picnic along with family members and friends also. As my visit to this place was often that's the reason for which I love this sanctuary most. Full free restrictions to everyone of this wildlife sanctuary.

One of the best place at Jharkhand to feel and enjoy the nature. There's a motorable road to reach the Dalma Hill Top and the journey is awesome... specially if you're riding your bike. If you're lucky enough you can find some wild animals too. I myself saw deer, monkeys, giant squirrel and many different birds. Makulakocha Eco Hut is the best place to stay there.

Please go early morning. Winter will be the best option. Road is 21 km from highway up in the hill. Road is wide but very rough and full of pot holes. Entry fee is taken ranging from 350 for Toto to 800 for bus. Entire road is a view. No one will regret even after such a hectic ride. Plz don't expect to see any elephants. Top there is a temple , watch tower and a small cave. Please bring food and water along. Noting will be available throughout the way from highway.

Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Jharkhand, India. Spanning over 195 square kilometers, it's known for its diverse flora and fauna, including elephants, barking deer, and various bird species. The sanctuary offers a unique blend of natural beauty and wildlife conservation.

One of the Tourist place of Jamshedpur city. Present beside NH 43 so in communication, it is easy to access this place. Local people are also very helpful. You have to drive uphill around 12kms for experiencing top view. The road is quite challenging due to presence of sharp hairpin like turns. Don't expect to watch any wild animals, you can barely see some of deers & monkeys. There is very less options for food so carry your stuff with you.

Most beautiful place in Jharkhand. We absolutely loved it and surely visit again. Beautiful dense forest. Two guest house are there within the sanctuary. Elephants and deers are there to welcome you. I have also spotted two female peacock on the way to Dalma hill top. Road leading to Dalma hill top is somewhat bad in condition. There is a old temple and two watchtowers at the top of the hill.

This place situated at Ranchi Kolkata highway near Jamshedpur Jharkhand. This is very good place for nature lover and you will feel relax in a lap of nature. If you're coming from Ranchi then the entrance will be on your left. Similarly if you are coming from Kolkata side then after Dimna Chauk you will have to cover approximately 18 km and entrance will be on your right hand side. TYPE OF VEHICLES ALLOWED HERE 4 WHEELER 3 WHEELER My personal suggestion don't go here on your bike if you visit by bike. Bike Not Allowed from October 2023,so don't plan to visit by bike. If you visit by bike then your bikes will be Park before Dalma sanctuary and you can take safari from here auto also available here. Safari available here @ Rs 2800 For 8 Persons. Own car Allowed Car entry fee 600 hundreds and Rs 10 per Person child Rs 5. There is no charge for those who are visiting by feet. Minimum time to cover by Safari (4 wheeler) approx 3 hours. My suggestion to you kindly hire four wheeler for your trip to Dalma. Or you can cover your journey with your own four wheeler. Note:- Kindly come with cash and change also because you can face challenge while taking ticket on ticket counter because digital payment options are not available at this place.

One of the mesmerising place to visit if you are in jamshedpur, of course the road to hill top is little narrow and full of muds, not recommended to visit during rainy season, it takes a lot of efforts and a good driving skill to climb the hill, but the experience of getting the view of entire city and the weather upstairs is worth of all the challenges, if you are lucky you will be able to see some peacock on your way to the hill top, there is a temple on the hill top, which has many cultural values, you will see a lot of monkeys roaming around, please keep enough water, food as there are no such shops available.

Nice for a one day outing with kids. Not many animals to see. But the area is green and clean. This is a plastic free area so please don't bring any kind of plastic. You can bring your bottles and refill drinking water here for free. There is also a Shiv and Hanuman temple at the top. Devotees also go there. It is very busy during Shivratri.

Beautiful place, this place will impress you at every step. The best thing is the off roading, while oof roding the thrill will surround every moment. I liked it very much, I was alone and I will say that many people get drunk and eat ganja in front of other people's temples, so I will warn everyone. May everyone travel safely, this is my prayer to God

Senery from top is breathtaking, i recommend you to visit in group as it is isolated place and try to reach at early morning you will see dense fog and feel like a hell station. You have very less options for food there are few local shops operate and sells Mudhi, Chop, sprouted chana biscuits water bottle (don't throw plastic items in Dalma wildlife sanctuary it's punishable by law). Place is not well maintained by Jharkhand Government. Don't try to tease monkeys there they will beat you up ๐Ÿ˜…, lastly I most liked Shiv temple Cave there.

Life is short. Don't waste your time. Entry fee is Rs. 600 and the road is so bad you will end up damaging your car. They blocked all the trail roads to other places so the only place you can actually visit is the temple. Basically they are charging Rs.600 to visit the temple. Trust me I saw people fighting for refund at the ticket counter after they returned from the temple ๐Ÿ˜‚

The Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary located on the ranges of Dalma Hills, is around 13 kms from Jamshedpur and covering area of 195 square kilometers. Wild animals including elephant, barking deer, sloth beer and Sahil can be easily sighted in their natural habitat. Both Tata Steel and the Forest Department run guesthouses at the top of the hill. There is also a temple of Shiva atop the hill, where devotees offer prayers during Shivaratri. Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is famous for its forest tourism, but to the residents, it is more familiar because of its wild resident elephants. 'Dalma Haathi' or the 'Elephants of Dalma' is a known and quite fearful term in the Jamshedpur-Puruliya region. Established in 1975 and inaugurated by Sanjay Gandhi, the Dalma forest is home to a horde of animals, birds and tree species as well. Overlooking the shimmering Subarnarekha River, the Dalma hills nestle the dense green forests like an offspring.ย This ambience of the forest and the odd chance of having a glimpse at the wild animals is what makes Dalma so special among those who love to travel around jungles. Once an untamed natural beauty for acres after acres, parts of this wild forest got shunted when the steel plant was established by JN Tata near the Kharkai-Subarnarekha confluence. However, whatever remains is still large enough to be a paradise for all the native Indian flora and fauna you can think of. Many elephants migrate to this forest every year adding to the crowd, and sometimes they come out into the local villages and suburbs.

The hilltop on Dalma wildlife sanctuary is located nearly 20 Kms away from Jamshedpur city ( 15 kms from NH33 ). The best time to visit is during winter. The sanctuary is having a forest guest house which can be booked from Mango Forest Range Office, Jamshedpur. The sanctuary is an ideal spot for trekking. Another attraction for devotees is a Lord Shiva temple situated on the hilltop. Dalma is known as a paradise for elephants. The other inhabitants are barking deers, bears apart from several species of birds.

Very limited public places are here in vicinity of jamshedpur. Dalma wildlife sanctuary is one among them. Road is not in proper shape and during whole trip hardly you will find any animal you forget about the wild animals ๐Ÿ˜€. But yes on the top of hills Two very old temples are there which will give you very calm and peaceful experience. You can enjoy the trip with your family and friend in a with nature.

These photos doesn't do justice to the mesmerising beauty of this Forrest. There are trek points in the jungle. And there's a shiv temple at the peak. And it's among clouds. Must visit but visit when there's sunlight. It's very dangerous at night time.

This is not a full review of the Sanctuary as we didn't have time to explore the entire location. We had only an hour on our way back home, so we decided to go on a walk - visiting the entrance only. Fortunately, we had a chance to see the herds of deer - my son was too excited at the sight of so many deer. Free parking is available just before entering the sanctuary. If you travel in your own car, they charge around Rs. 600 to allow the car inside the sanctuary which is way too high.

This is lovely place to visit. A total experience you can find different animals on the way to the hill top. You can drive your vehicle to the hill top and have the fantastic view from there. There are few temples made at the hill top of Lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman. When were about to reach the hill top we were being wrapped into the clouds. And at the end we had an amazing view.

A must-visit place for the nature lovers as well as the wildlife lovers. Just be patient while visiting this place - this sanctuary will not disappoint you. You can see elephants, deers, peacocks (if you are lucky enough). Do not worry of you cannot see any animals - just experience the wild nature here. I highly recommend this place to all the nature lovers.
