One of the largest bioreserve Park. One can get lost in the beauty and serenity of nature. Don't go if you expect wildlife, as you won't be allowed to the core area, and then siting few other wild animals need luck.

Similipal National Park: It is a national park and a biosphere tiger reserve in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha in India. Awesome place for nature lovers and researchers. The best time to visit in between November to February. One can find number of waterfalls inside it and it is also one of the place to be relaxed from busy schedules and experience beauty of nature. Undoubtedly it's one of the best Forest reserve to visit in the country but its unfortunate to mention that the local admistration should focus and pay attention towards basic amenities in picnic spots. Like having a police outpost, toilets and minimum lighting facility & ofcourse mobile networkconnectivity. After dark in the evening hour's it's little bit risky for the excursion groups incase they are accompanied by females.

2 Entry Gates - Pithabata & Jashipur. 5 Stay options operated by Govt. They are called as Nature Camps. They are beautiful and strategically placed. 4 Camps are Inside Jungle Kumari, Gurguria, Jamuani, Barehipani and 1 Outside of jungle area - Ramatirtha. Private stay options are also fantastic. We (The Bengal Local) have stayed our first night at palace. Felt like a raja. Visit around and in the evening talked with our Guide for Jungle visit, make the forest permit, finalise plans for next 3 days. Next 2 nights we have stayed at Kumari Nature Camp. (as the group was big - i had to stay at Gurguria Nature Camp). Took the jashipur exit. [You can do the opposite also] One of my favourite spot for domestic tourism - I cant assure but it seems that this is such a place where you can find different types of landscape in a single trip. Another thing I can assure that this place is safe friends - Simlipal is mosquito free. At lease I havn't notice it. Plan for Simlipal. All the hoteliers, Staffs, Vehicle Owners, Drivers, Guides helped us a lot. They will also help you. I will visit again.

One of a kind natural beauty!!! Surrounded by hills and valleys, waterfalls, streams, innumerable birds, animals, and around 64 trival villages, Simlipal makes a hot favourite destinations for nature lovers. November to March are the best months to explore this forest region. Forest resthouses are available inside for stay. Alternatively, tourists can halt at Jashipur or Bangriposhi, another beautiful location.

Great place ! But make sure you reach there by 6 AM. It’s always advisable to take a torch with you as usually it becomes dark around 5 PM. Guide is a must if you want to know and explore more. It also has many jungle stays which will add on to your adventure experience ! Specially to the people who do take their own vehicle, it's a request not to honk in the biosphere reserve premises.

An excellent weekend getaway with family. Apart from the three astonishing waterfalls, it has much to offer like varied jungle vegetation, meadows, wildlife, and tribal people dotting the forest. Do stay for two nights to enjoy the forest and book in advance. Recommend to stay in Jamuani cottage of the forest dept as that is the most impressive and well maintained among all. Do take a DSLR with zoom lens.

It's all about waterfalls and deep forest. If you want a break from regular life and want to enjoy forest life,. then definitely it's your place to visit. Most scenic view is Joronda Waterfall, such a blessing for eyes. It has completely off-road, so be prepared for it.

If you love nature, and admire its beauty, then Simlipal is one of the places that will definitely satisfy you... If you love and enjoy adventure, jungle treks, waterfalls, fresh and cool breeze, and calm ambience, then Simlipal will definitely please you... If you are curious to know and witness more about tribal people, their life-style, cuisine and culture, then Simlipal will definitely give you that opportunity... Lovely place in the Mayurbhanj District of Odisha... The place which feels proud of its daughter "Draupadi Murmu", the honourable President of India... Do take time to visit this place at least once in your life preferably in the autumn/ winter...

Simlipal National Park is a national park and a tiger reserve in the Mayurbhanj district in the Indian state of Odisha covering 2,750 km2 (1,060 sq mi). It is part of the Mayurbhanj Elephant Reserve, which includes three protected areas — Similipal Tiger Reserve, Hadgarh Wildlife Sanctuary with 191.06 km2 (73.77 sq mi) and Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary with 272.75 km2 (105.31 sq mi). The Barehipani Falls are 217 m (712 ft) high and the Joranda Falls 181 m (594 ft). ****You cannot travel all the total area in one day as it is a huge area , we went almost early in the morning at 8 am but our exit time 4pm , we haven't covered up all the places though.. **** Entry fee was per head 100/- ( plz note if you are a student carry your original id card , you have to pay only 20/-) Inside simlipal only 2 food places are there , one is government and another one non government , if you wish to do lunch from the government one , you have to pay your food bill along with your entry fee at theo time of entry ...veg and non veg thali both available , veg thali is 120/- and non veg 160/- ... 🔖🔖🔖 And the best part is ..at one place bansh pora chicken is available in front of the non government food camp ...price only 40/- per plate ...don't miss it. Another important thing you have to grant permission before entering so reach as early as possible in the morning as only 30 vehicles are allowed per day. Heavy vehicles are only allowed to enter , you can also get vehicles there itself or you can go with your own car. Aadhar card is mandatory for granting permission. You also have to take a guide with you . Guide charge is extra. 🔖🔖 Local people said that you cannot see tiger in the morning , at night it is visible , at night special vehicles travel through the reserve forest for safety purpose There is also some staying places inside the reserve forest , resort type . You can also stay there for the awesome ambience and experience 😀

The similipal tourism starts around 12-15 km distance from Baripada town and itself elongated up to 100km within. It contains many water fall along with the wild animals and the tribal people who there lives along with the nature. It is a nature enthusiast's haven. The park's lush greenery, diverse flora, and fauna make it a captivating destination. The breathtaking landscapes, including waterfalls and dense forests, offer a serene escape from urban life. The park's tiger reserve adds a touch of adventure for wildlife enthusiasts. However, conservation efforts could enhance the overall experience. Despite some infrastructure limitations, Simlipal National Park remains a gem for those seeking a harmonious blend of nature and wildlife. I am unsatisfied because of there is no effort from government side for it's development. If it's developed then it's cherry blossom to the odisha tourism. Please 🥺 i request for it's improvement.

The place is great for those who have patience. Hardly you can see any animals out there. I was lucky enough to see langurs, gazelles and 2 leopard. The best time to visit the place is nov-dec. Chances are you will see tigers and other wilds at this time. There are no restrooms out there, so be prepared. Entry : the entry fees is 100 rupees for people for the group of people below 10 and 50 rupees each for a group greater than 10. The entries fee for children below 3 years. Timings : 0700 hrs - 19000 hrs. The government AC vehicle is available to map around the place,if one wants one can book the vehicle from the official website available. the vehicle costed me around 6000. Also make sure if you want to cancel the vehicle cancel it before 3 days because if you cancel it anytime later no refund will be given to you. Nov-Dec is the best time Food : Prepared food is available inside at the price of 120 for veg. But you have to inform the food makers there about your order. The food includes three subjis rice dal papad salad. Sightings : you can visit there uski falls, joranda waterfalls Borehipaani waterfalls pine tree and orchid plants. Restrooms : not available. Connectivity : a complete rural area with no network as well as electrical connectivity. Make sure you are prepared because there is no internet or cellular connectivity.

One of the best tiger reserves in India. If you are a nature lover and find peace among green, this place is more suitable for you. There are three major waterfalls to visit. They offer car safari and nature camps with other Jungle activities. Though it is a tiger reserve but only deers will come to see you off, though a lucky guy can cross his path with tigers ! Who knows !
