950 steps, around 550m altitude to the base of the water falls. It takes about an hour to reach and 20 minutes to return with sufficient rest in between. The view around the steps are good, specially during spring due to multiple colors of the leaves, however you will miss the quantum of water as because it’s not rainy season. However, I would recommend to have two bottles of liquid ORS to keep you hydrated and energized through your journey. Cheers!

Odisha's second highest waterfall...... A very beautiful place for family outing and picnic. 4 wheeler parking cum entry fee is β‚Ή60/- and β‚Ή25/- per person. Separate place for picnic is available with all the required facilities. To enjoy the scenic beauty of the waterfall fully, one has to climb up upto 750 stairs (approx) P.S: Keep sufficient drinking water bottles while climbing up and Dont even dare to climb up the stairs just after having a stomach full of lunch/brunch πŸ˜€

The place is really awesome and peaceful. Truly the best creation of nature πŸŒΏπŸƒ with an exquisite view 😍😍 . It's a 2.5 hrs ride from Rourkela, nearly 85 kms. Things to keep in mind before visiting Khandadhar Waterfall. 1 . You have to climb many stairs to reach near the exact view point of the waterfall. You can get bit tired while climbing the stairs but at the end when you will reach the top of the waterfall all your hard work will be worth. 😌😌 2 . The ticket price per person is Rs. 25 and for vehicles it's Rs. 60. For 4 wheeler. 3. The place near the waterfall is not safe for bathing. So, bath at your own risk. 4. There's separate spot for picnic . You can go with your family and friends during new years for picnic.

This is a very nice and good place to visit. The waterfall is very nice and serene. You will enjoy the nature at its best. The only thing is to see the waterfall properly you have to climb closely 900 steps. So this is a bit difficult. But if you overcome this then you can enjoy the fruit of that hard-work. A best viewing waterfall.

Located 100 km from Keonjhar and 85 km from Rourkela, Khandadhar waterfall is definitely a treat to watch. In order to experience the fall properly, one needs to climb 650 steps. So do carry water and jawbreakers/chewing gums. There are a couple of food stalls at the base which serve cold drinks and snacks.

One of the biggest waterfall of Odisha present in luscious green hill, to fully reach there it needs around 700 steps to trek which is quite challenging & hard but adventurous for sure! It has children's park, picnic spots, food & beverages, eco retreat & nature camp etc. Must visit!

Entry for the car is 100. You can park it where the stairs start. It is a huge waterfall and you can get wet just by standing near it. I would not recommend taking a bath. From the top view point you can see rainbow when the sky is clear.

The Khandadhar Falls is located at Nandapani, Bonaigarh in Sundargarh district in the Indian state of Odisha. It is the 9th highest waterfall in India and 2nd highest waterfall in Odisha after Barehipani Falls in Mayurbhanj.

Khandadhar waterfall, Bonai, Sundargarh. Amidst thick jungles, Khandadhar is a glittering waterfall created by a perennial rivulet called Korapani Nala within a few kms of its origin. 244 meters in height it is said to be the "HIGHEST WATERFALL IN ODISHA". 19kms, from Bonaigarh, it is approachable by a fair-weather road but the last two kms is negotiable, only on foot (850 steps). However, the strain one takes on the ardous journey is soon forgotten by the unthinkable scenic beauty the waterfall provides around. Nearby the local tribals worship a deity known as Goddess Kanta. *HOW TO GO: Nearest rail head is at Rourkela (104 kms.) All-weather road upto Bonaigarh is available and the last 2kms. is negotiable on foot. The Khandadhar Falls is 104 kilometers (65 mi) from Rourkela via Bonaigarh. One can visit from Barbil (keunjhar) through Tensa ghati too. (70-80km). *STAY: You can stay here in nature camps. Two type of rooms available. Normal rooms (3k-3.5k per room, 2 persons), waterfall facing (5-6k per room). Or else it is a one day trip from rourkela or barbil. *TIPS: One can plan this along with Rourkela trip, where there are many tourist places including Baishnodevi temple, Hanuman vatika, vedbyash, Mandira dam and many more. Tensa nature camp can be covered too, in the same route, from Rkl to barbil. (Road is a bit tough and in bad condition from bonai to tensa).

It's the most beautiful waterfall in Keonjhar. The gust of water spreads around and the beauty of surrounding gives a glimpse of heaven. Nearly 200 stairs are there. But once you reach, you can't forget the beauty. No ticket is required. It is nearly 75 kilometres from highway. Road is in good condition other than some areas.

Khandhara Falls is located in Keonjhar district. It is about 60 km from Keonjhar city. You have to climb about 200 stairs to reach there. But once you reach you cannot forget the beauty. The waterfall is about 100 feet high. A gust of water spread all around .You can take natural bath here. You can hear the sound of water falling from far away. Entry fee is free but you have to pay β‚Ή50/- parking fee for the car. A view point is also available here. Not as crowded as others.

    1. On the opposite side of the hill, there is another waterfall with the same name. Khandadhar Falls, Sundagarh which is located in Sundagarh district. 2. At little after the origin of the waterfall, the cataract appears like an avalanche gushing down in flakes. Each flake looks like a meteor which makes a shimmering line as the fall comes in contact with the large flat rock on its halfway down. Every time there is a sudden squall, the waterfall oscillates and takes the shape of an avalanche of snowflakes. 3. The sparkling water drops leave everybody doused. The most captivating sight is the rainbow which is formed at the base of the water fall, and the rainbow appears to dance as the water fall oscillates. Beautiful picnic spot and nice place to spent time with family. 4. Elevation: 539m Open Time: Daytime Popular Cuisine: Local Food Attractions: Waterfall, Nilakantha Temple, Hill Nearest Bus Stop: Keonjhar Bus Stand (53km) Nearest Railway Station: Keonjhar (59km) Travel Options: Taxi, Bus, Train Nearest town: Keonjhar (55km)

I really loved this place. We went there on public holiday, so it was very crowded. We stayed in nature camp and next day visited early morning. So it was highest on its beauty, peaceful, relaxing.

It was an experience to climb the steps to see the waterfall! Recommended πŸ‘. Ps: I've given only 4 stars because I feel like they should have more souvenirs to sell instead of just tshirts and caps.

A beautiful waterfall- visited on last week of May’23; one needs to climb up an odd steps of 668 thru the jungle. Will suggest to start climbing up as early as possible at morning so that weather would be good not sunny. We started at at 6:00 am , so that we were able to come back to resort by 9:00.

The route to the destination is as good as the waterfall. You will have to pay the government tolls as mentioned. The way has not a complete good road as has may incomplete roads. After reaching the destination found hotels but they only excepted cash so do carry some as much required. This place also has the arrangement for rented utensils and gas for cooked you want to have picnic. The ask for ticket to get inside and for amusement purpose they also have some sports as rope, cycle rope and more. Cottages also available for staying but no Internet available hence you will get bored to use them book from Odisha tourism. The price I checked is much high not worth it. Once visiting is good. Natural pic for good photography. Nice scenery available. The steps to get to the point is approx 800. Take breaks and reach the point and enjoy the view. In between there are small temples. Please reach early for ease. Do visit and enjoy the place.

This place has its Own beauty. Khandadhar waterfall is 2nd highest in odissa and 11th highest in India. One has to climb 650+ Steps to reach at the base of waterfall, But that is worth when you reach there your jaw will drop while watching It. Previously people could reach and have bath below the waterfall but then some overenthusiastic, and unfortunate people lost their lives, so you can not go in the water now. There is no water on the way, so carry your own water and food. At the entry gate near parking there are few stalls available where you will get dry food, water cold drinks etc. If you buy make sure you do not throw plastic and other waste on the way. The perfect way is to bring everything back and then throw it in Dustbins. After coming back if you have time, you can enjoy Adventure activities at the base (off course with extra cost) there is lot of shed and even during summer when you will get place to take rest.
