A beautiful and calm place, where water was there even during summer, a nice place for family picnic outing, a no-plastic zone, some stalls are there to provide light refreshments. A small children's park is also there as an added attraction. Well maintained with space for parking and hygienic facilities of Toilet exists. On the way to the Falls from the nearby cities, the beauty of the mountains and nature on the way is a captivating sight to behold. But entry is only till halfway down even then it's worth the visit. A memorable trip to become a part of nature...Far from Maddening Crowd.

It is a wonderful place in Jharkhand but there should be some more basic amenities. Toilets can be kept clean and in return they can charge some amount from the tourists. Roads are well connected to the place and it is also not so far from Ranchi. While coming from Ranchi one needs to be very careful for taking right turn for the fall, as there is no sign for it.

A very beautiful place. The view is awesome. Nearly 33 km from Ranchi and road conditions are very good. Driving through the road is a great pleasure. Then the view of the falls is mind blowing. You have to go down some steps also to enjoy the scenery. I bet you won't regret visiting this place. There is also some food stall. Reach early morning, Take some time to spend here and you will return with some peace of mind.

Visited in August end at the end of monsoons, so witnessed a huge discharge of water in the waterfall. Three streams of water converge at the top and fall. Both the views of waterfall and the whole basin from below is awesome. There are steps leading to the base from the car parking area. One can climb the rocks for a close view. There is another path from car parking to the top area of the waterfall for a different kind of view and experience. There are no entry charges, however locals charge Rs50 when travelling by Car. The roads are marked and Google map is correct. Enjoyed it.

Such an amazing and beautiful place. When I reach here I forget everything from my life and I remember only the present. The sound of the place, That chirping of birds, that water hitting the stones and making an amazing sound, that atmosphere in the middle of the forest, that cool breeze there, if you really love ❤ all these things then this place for you. This place is just 50km from Ranchi city. This place is not easy to reach. Here it is reached by private vehicle 🚲🚗⛵🚁 . Best time to reach from October to march. Will say must come and explore this place.

This place is situated a hour ride from main city centre of ranchi , it is surrounded by dense jungle , this is a perfect picnic spot , to reach at the base of fall you need to go down 300 steps approx but the journey and view is stress beater though it can be harsh for those who are not use to steep climbing , this place is usually buzzing with tourist and huge crowd come here weekend .

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yes Five stars. 👇 Ok I'm going to review this place on some parameters like :- I experienced this beautiful and adventurous place on 24th of July 2022. All the required or minimal facilities for tourists are available here. Separate toilets are also opened for male and female. Scenic points are also built there. Resting areas and shades are also well developed here. Minor shops are there which offers some food related stuffs. Not all places are accessible by wheelchair. So it becomes difficult to carry them with you. There is need to give an options to handicapped people as well. Guards are there for your safety. A local ticket is levied here for parking. I'm sharing some tips with you. Kindly follow these to enjoy more adventurous journey. • [Tips] :- Carry your own food related stuffs. One thing that you have to remember that nearby shops will charge some extra additional taxes on each and every products that they offers there. So you have to spend some more even for basic things. Avoid purchase at that place. • [Tips] :- The stairs are very slippery in nature especially during rainy season. Try to avoid to go more inside the waterfall area. All the stairs and rocks becomes more slippery and very dangerous for walking. • [Tips] :- Comes early and explore more. See there are different ways to reach this place. All paths will leads you to the same destination but with different angles and views. So, if you want to explore the whole area than I strongly recommend you to come early in the morning because there are three different points at same place with three different beautiful angles to explore and to experience. • [Tips] :- Don't dare to swim especially if you don't know how to swim. There are lots of cases where you found that people are dying continuously at this place because of drowning. Avoid to take bath especially during the rainy season. • [Tips] :- Keep an eye on your childrens. Generally people come here to enjoy but during this leisure time they ignored their children and it leads to an avoidable accident. Follow me on Google Maps to be updated regularly. ● KNOW MORE ABOUT DASSAM FALLS :- The Dassam Falls (also known as Dassam Ghagh) is a waterfall located near Taimara village in Bundu police station of Ranchi district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Elevation- 336 metres (1,102 ft) Total height- 44 metres (144 ft) Number of drops- 2 Watercourse- Kanchi River Dassam is a changed form of word Da:song which means in mundari language the act of pouring water. Da: means water and song means pouring or measuring. The water fall resembles like somebody is pouring water so the name was Da:song earlier but afterwards the name was changed to Dassam. The Dassam Falls is a natural cascade across the Kanchi River, a tributary of the Subarnarekha River. The water falls from a height of 44 metres (144 ft). The sound of water echoes all around the place. Dassam Falls at one of the edges of the Ranchi plateau is one of the many scarp falls in the region. The Dassam Falls is an example of a nick point caused by rejuvenation. Knick point, also called a nick point or simply nick, represents breaks in slopes in the longitudinal profile of a river caused by rejuvenation. The break in channel gradient allows water to fall vertically giving rise to a waterfall. The water of the Dassam Falls is very clean and clear. It is natural for a tourist to be enticed to enter the water for a bath or swim but tourists are warned not to do so because of the current that is generated. There have been many cases of drowning in Dassam Falls. The Dassam Falls is 40 kilometres (25 mi) from Ranchi on NH 33 or Ranchi-Jamshedpur highway. Keep this place as it is which means don't litter your waste and stuffs here and there. Kindly throw it in the dustbin. Thank you Follow me on Google map to recieve regular updates regarding new adventurous places.

Worst place because of Jharkhand tourism. The have locked the way. You can’t go near the fall. If you want then you have to jump the grill. Don’t go with family, but if you wanna free peaceful space for party then it’s awesome

I had visited this place when I was really young. We could go to the lower parts of the fall then. But this time it was not allowed. There were gates all locked. Maybe because this waterfall is very dangerous, many people have lost their lives, so ot is understandable but the real view comes when you stnd at the base, watch the gigantic waterfall from beneath. Anyways safety is more important than feel good factor, so I would not mind not being able to take full feel this time.

This place is 40kms away from Ranchi and most visited destination in Jharkhand. Pure water of the Kanchi river cascades from 144ft and looks stunning. There is a top view point and also you can go down by steps to enjoy the place closely. Entry fee is not there but they charge you for parking. Steps are more so plan accordingly. But such a nice place to enjoy with family and friends.

After seeing most of the major waterfalls in or around Ranchi, i can tell that this is the best in my view. I visited during the month of july, and i recommend visiting this place in the monsoon season. You have to walk through the stairs downward to reach falls, even there are viewpoints at every stage, better for the old ones to enjoy the view from those places. You can bathe in the water at your own risk and safety.

A must place to visit if are around ranchi. Though it is very far from many city of ranchi. But it is worth taking the effort. The lush green forest , rising hills , waving roads and the magnificent fall will make you feel awake and connected to nature. You can even bath under the fall in one if it's branches but carefully. You can have a picnic here with your family carry whatever you want to and cook and eat. Few food shops are also available. Car parking is available. Enjoy and have fun. P.S. Take the right road towards the right side if the fall , if you reach the opposite of the fall you will have to take a long way to the other side of the fall which is the main side or you cross from the top but it's risky and you can get hurt.

Just spectacular... nothing less, may be more, yes I am taking about Dassam Falls, the most majestic and serene among the Mighty Three...Hundru, Jonha and Dassam.. which are the major crowed- pullers of Ranchi. Dassam is very unique in the sense that it originated from river Kechni ( not Kanchi as most people say it ), a tributary of Subarnarekha. Not only that it has 10 waterstreams and when all of them started their actions...Oh God, it's a marvel to watch. A distance of 35 km from Ranchi and a downward journey of 350 well-maintained cemented stirs, you will be there my dear. And it's the most traveller- friendly among the three...less accident- prone.

This place is worth visiting. Dassam Fall is around 45kms from Ranchi and the falling height is 115ft There are many view points decks for better view of the fall. Usually this place is best during rainy season or in winters. Parking charges are Rs.30. The place has 2-3 shops from where you can have some snacks as well.

This is one of the best falls in Jharkhand. For better view, I recommend to visit it just after the monsoon. It's better to avoid going there in Summer. The authority charge a little for car parking and ticket per person though local people take a chance to earn by providing their land for car parking.

One of the good water falls in Jharkhand. It is situated around 10KM from the NH33. You have to Rs.50.00 at the entry gate maintained by local people. The local people are very good. The place is neat and clean and you can find food during weekends. There are some shops for local handicraft materials, fresh fruits and vegetables. But the water flow is very less during these days. For full waterflow you have to visit during July - August. Overall the place is very good and beautiful in raw nature. If good roads are made then it will add more value to the place.

Loved it. Scenic and relaxing place. Natural White Noise. - Visited two spots, one right at the waterfall where it was crowded and one downstream where it was quiet. - Paid parking - Bottled water, Soft drinks, packaged snacks, Chana Salad, and Sugarcane juice were available. - Didn't see a y Tea/Coffee option. - Bath towels and wooden home decor items were also on sale. - There is a boat, just as a prop for taking photos in. Photo prints on site. - Navigating rocks was tricky with a helmet in one hand 😅. I recommend keeping your hands free and wearing trekking shoes or something that has traction on rocks.

One of the best waterfall in jharkhand absolutely a weekend trip thing. You should go during monsoon. You can go down near to the fall but careful with the rocks its very slippery. The distance between Jamshedpur to dassam falls is near about 120km it will take 2.5 -3 hours (60-70avg/speed) and you will burn 16liters of petrol in this round trip . Also important thing to note there is a sign when you about to reach dassam falls dont go to the old dassam falls take the left turn instead.

The Dassam falls is located 5 or 6 km away from the main road. This way is through the deep forest and it is very enjoyable. As we visited the falls during the monsoon, it was over playing with water and there was no tourist other than us. It was a great view though a little away from human habitation.

Nice fall, less number of stairs & decent eatery options. The stairs were closed after a certain point, probably because of rain resulting in high water level. View points were created at multiple levels, some better than the others. All of them had a good amount of space for the crowd.

Loved this place. This is one of the best weekend getaway from Ranchi. There are superb places built with railings for the visitors to enjoy the beauty of the falls. Though at quite a remote place, yet there are few places to have some superb snacks at a too pocket friendly cost. A must visit.

Dasam water falls is one of the best tourist spots in Ranchi. Car parking available. Parking fee 30 rupees. Entry fee 10/person. Best time to visit in the rainy season. Lots of stares are there. To get the best view you have to go down. But if anyone is unable to go down they can enjoy the view from up also. For at least 50 stares you have to go down. A few snacks and tea stalls are there.
