If you are visiting Keonjhar for tour then you can also visit this place. Kichakeshwari temple is located in Khiching and is the istadevi of Bhanja Dynasty. Ma Kichakeshwari is a form of Shakti as Durgatinashini. The temple has beautiful carvings on black stone. There is an iron bar which you can carry and it is said to fulfill your wishes.

It is famous for the temple of Kichakeswari, the family Goddess of the once ruling chiefs of Mayurbhanj. Built entirely on chlorite slabs, the temple of Kichakeswari is perhaps one of the few temples of its kind in the whole of India. Close by one could find a plethora of temples a few of them are still living which bear testimony to the skill of the master masons of Kalinga style. The small museum at Khiching possesses rare and historically valuable specimens of art and sculpture.
