Hirni Water Falls

Tourist attraction

👍👍 The waterfalls is actually closed due to covud restrictions but the watch man is letting to enter by charging 50rs or more accordingly. The waterfall is absolutely stunning. During winter the water is less and the river bed is more or less dry so by hiking through the river we reached the waterfall.... People often mention falls, visit, water, good, area, fall, time, Ranchi, beautiful, waterfall,

The waterfalls is actually closed due to covud restrictions but the watch man is letting to enter by charging 50rs or more accordingly. The waterfall is absolutely stunning. During winter the water is less and the river bed is more or less dry so by hiking through the river we reached the waterfall. There is also another way to reach it by climbing some stairs which are made by Jharkhand tourism. The waterfall falls from a height of 126ft and forms a small lake in front. Due to winter season the lake water is stagnant and not so clear but during monsoon it will be a more spectacular view.

Mesmerizing experience. Went on a Tuesday and the whole falls was ours. Not another soul was there. This falls has all the amenities like snacks centre and washroom available. The greenery surrounding this falls are a soothing experience to one's eyes. Kudos to Jharkhand Tourism department for maintaining this natural wonder.

Over an hour drive from Ranchi - the hilly roads to hirni falls is worth driving. The falls itself is beautiful. There is stairs to walk to the top of the fall. I must recommend all to take it to get stunning view of the valley.

Very beautiful waterfall... A pleasant place to comfort your eyes. The scenic beauty will attract you and other natural lovers. It is located on the way to Ranchi from Chakradharpur just after the tebo ghati. It's Around 41Km far from Chakradharpur and Around 70Km from Ranchi. Most important thing use JIO& BSNL sim ,No network in Airtel around hirni fall area.

Marvelous place. Waterfalls is so beautiful it soothes mind and body completely and highly refreshes the visitors. It is one of the rarest falls where you can go very close to the actual fall. Place is very clean and steps are very good. View from the top most view point is mind boggling. A must visit place.

Went on 2nd Oct 2021. A 2 hour drive (70km) from Ranchi towards Chaibasa. The water cascading down the rocks was voluminous due to heavy rainfall during monsoon months of July August. View was pleasing and soothing to the eyes and mind. Not many tourists around so area was quite clean. Didn't find empty plastic bottles/polythene bags. Hope this continues during the coming festive season and Christmas/New Year. There is a small kiosk selling snacks and beverages. Go with your own food. No operational washrooms. This was a big let down.

Scenic beauty of Hirni Fall is awesome . Best part is that when You enter from main gate,by walking just 50 steps you will be able to see the falls. As you get closer it seems clear and voice of dropping waters coming clearly . All around greenary and water flowing besides the mountains and rocks . There are different bridges where you can click pictures. From top you see beautiful valleys, greenary and only 3-4 homes . It's better to carry snacks ,water and cold drinks. You can go very close to the fall and enjoy , sitting area is available Parking for bike - Rs 15 Entry charge - Rs 10 Opening from - 08 Am to 04 Pm

The place is very peaceful, and it rained that day which made it more pleasant. Loved the serenity of the place. Properly maintained in case of litter, and with boards of 'keep the place clean, do not pick the flowers.' The view had our heart, you could sit for hours watching the water flow. We weren't there for long because it started raining heavily. But surely worth the visit, happy visiting! . . Until next time, @_.pratigyaaa._ ;) Keep exploring!

It's a 1 time visit place, but worth visiting 👍 Cannot be compared to other major waterfalls like Dasham, jonha, hundru etc but still it's worth visiting because it's beautiful surrounded by dense Forest and most importantly peaceful, most of the people who visit here are local people who live somewhere near around the area where this waterfall is situated, according me it rarely gets visitors from major cities like ranchi because it's so far away from ranchi, approximately 75 km , day before yesterday I visited here, my advice would be to not visit here alone, atleast have 1 friend along with yourself so you'll feel a little safe, another reason why people avoid travelling so long to visit this place might be because it's situated in an area which is a naxalite area, but I personally didn't feel any issue while travelling here, we started our journey from 7 30 am, reached here at exactly 10 am ( excluding the 15 15 min 2 breaks, 1 for breakfast at bandgaon and another 15 minute we were forced to stop our journey because it was raining so after rain stopped we again started our journey) so we can say that if 1 starts his journey from ranchi, then he can easily reach here in around 2 hrs (without stopping) , road conditions were good in most of our journey... Yes there's a small store outside the main entry gate of hirni fall from where you can get water, snacks 👍 ( but my suggestion would be to carry water bottle and snacks from bandgaon) Overall the conclusion is yes, you can visit here without any issues, it's better if you come in group or atleast 2 people ( warna ghar mein raho yaar , solo riding Kahi aur karo 😁🤣) Attaching some pics here for you guys to enjoy

A good tourist spot for people who loves to spend time around the nature. It is cleaner than other picnic spots as it is managed by Jharkhand tourism. However, it will be good to take prepared food, instead of preparing it on spot as management may not allow to cook. It is a Good spot for capturing amazing pictures.

Its simply wow. the place is highly protected. The guards are there to help you with any information. The vehicles are also safe and secure. If you want to see the nature then its the right place to visit. Roads are also very good. Although you get paid snacks inside. Very lovely picnic spot. The falls is 120 km high.

If you are looking for beauty and peace the place is all about this . The surroundings is fully covered by greenery and the waterfall compliment them. Nicely arranged by government good roads . Well it's 65 km away from ranchi , you have to drive towards khunti situated at panchim sibhum district . A good place for weekend couple nd family trip both .

Nice Waterfalls. Amazing beauty. This place can be visited during and after rainy season to get good view of falls with family and friends by any means of transportation. Jharkhand tourism department has developed this place well and will recommend people to visit once.

Beautiful places. Surrounded by lush green forest. Less tourist makes it more peaceful. Forest guard are humble. There is one shop inside where you can buy snacks. Better to bring own water and food. Overall, lovely place to bring your family and friends. No phone network beside Jio. Also keep cash as no facilities of online payment is available at the ticket counter or the shop. The place has been kept clean, no plastic use. Make sure you do not litter it with packets, bottels, or any other stuff.

This is my third visit to Hirni water falls. It was lively & well maintained when I last visited some ten years back. Although parking & ticket area has been newly developed but all other amenities shows no signs of maintenance. Inspite of the above facts it is a must visit falls at least once. The fall is surrounded by dense forest, situated at Ranchi-Chaibasa road at a distance of 75 kms from Ranchi. Isolated area, so it is advised to visit in a group.

One of the beautiful waterfalls in Jharkhand. Almost 75 kms away from Ranchi city. Both this and Panchaghagh falls are in the same direction and can be visited together. Road through native villages is a very scenic one especially the last kms through the hills. Only a few steps are there to reach the falls. There is one watchtower too at the top of the hill which needs serious climbing. It's not that much popular like other falls like Hundru etc. and hence less crowded. Will definitely enjoy it's stream in the rainy season. Paid car parking and toilet facilities are also there.
