An offbeat place in jharkhand. 3-4 kms from Chauka. Anyone can enjoy the calm and green environment of the dam. But only issue is there is no nearby shop or restaurant or dhaba for any type of foods or beverage. You have to carry all your stuff along with you accordingly. Overall Nice place to hangout.

I have visited here twice this month. Once for the sunrise, and second time for the sunset. The nature around here is soothing. Please do visit this place once if you get the apportunity. You will love the dam and the mountains nearby. Also this is very nice place for picnic. Specially in autumn you can see the real beauty of the nature here. And the sunset here looks so unreal.

A must to visit place if you live near jamshedpur. Good for weekends and picnic 🧺 but make sure not to harm the natural habitat and littering the nature's beauty.

Beautiful picturesque... Away from the crowd of the city experience nature at it's best. The Palna reservoir can be circumfered by car easily. The road is not cemented but can be travelled easily. We went down to the lake to enjoy the water. A very good place for pincic and day outing with family or friends or even office colleagues. There are many birds around here we saw kingfisher,mayna,koyel,dove,etc. There are chameleons also. The valley view and the surrounding green forest makes it more beautiful. A very pleasant visit.

If anyone want to enjoy natural beauty at a very calm & quiet place then Palna Dam should be the place. Most of the tourists visit Chandil dam & ignore this place. Palna Dam has its own beauty, surrounded by hills on three sides and on one side Palna village is there. This dam is only 2km from Palna Chowk which is on Tata-Ranchi highway. From Tatanagar this place can be reached in a hour by car. If boating facility is being introduced, then the place will become more popular.

This Watch Tower is situated at Palna Dam and the view from the top is very beautiful! Sunset at Palna Dam from this Watch Tower is just superb!!!

It is only not nice place but fabulous untouched placed. Request to all not make it polluted by keeping bottles and plastic and etc.

One the best experience!! Jharkhand have really beautiful places to visit and spend time with loved ones. And Palna is one of such beauty!! And a kind request, please do visit this place but please don't litter it just like other picnic spots!!

Mesmerizing! Go on a long ride along with your friends. The views and the warmth of nature will definitely surprise you. Still untouched place. But this place is only for rides with friends and couples. Not a family picnic spot. And 4 wheeler should not be taken coz of dig holes. And if you are from JAMSHEDPUR then u should take the gamharia kandra road to enjoy some beautiful sight seeing of ghaati region.

I had amazing experience, visited here when monsoon was about to end. This place full of greenery and water was clean. From the top of watch tower view was really good during sunset. This was my third visit and I observed not many people come here. So, you can good time here if you like being alone.

The scenic beauty is wonderful .But there is no toilet --no food available---good picnic spot- bt u hv to carry ur food -- govt should invest on it to develop it as a tourist visiting spot-- there is a falls also -- bt anybody can reach there only by two wheelers -- proper road should be constructed.

This a nice view point you can chill out there with your family and friends. This is good option to you for picnic. If you want peaceful wives than you can visit this place. There is missing some facilities like food and beverage. There is not available any restaurants and dhabas , if want to visit this place you have to bring all the things that you want there.

Natural scenes always fascinate me, so I reach forests, rivers and mountains as soon as I get a chance, either alone or in a group.Palna Dam is really beautiful, it is surrounded by mountains which enhance its beauty. It is very close to Chandil Dam and NH 33, one can easily visit this dam. There should be some more investment on Panla Dam, which will further promote Jharkhand's tourism and create new employment opportunities.
