Very high from sea level...dense pine forest is here..also a nice view point...the BSF said that in this pine forest wild animals like wolf, hyena, deer are there..the place is pollution free..temperature is slightly low...the eucalyptus plants are too big.. there is also a pear garden

The koyal view aka the sunrise point, it's good.. I won't say it's mesmerizing...as it will over hyping it... But you get disappointed... If you get there, the pine trees and the morning fresh air and view... Compensates, what's lacking...

A place with no pollution... It's feel refreshing over there...My right eyes are week I'm on glasses but i have never seen that far which koel view gave to me look... You will see the river ( south koel river) and the trees from that point... Also there are pine tree forest which is dense and you will get a good picture over there.. Must visit

Awesome viewpoint in Netarhat apart from Magnolia viewpoint. A must visit. There are few places which have double benefit and Koel viewpoint is a rarity in that aspect. You get to see the breathtaking mountains faraway plus a pine forest adjacent to it. Its an absolute beauty for taking memorable pics. Plenty of parking space too.

Wonderful tourist spot. You can enjoy a amazing view of hills with pine forest. There is no arrangements like seats food stalls etc. This awesome place needs some tourist friendly infrastructure.

Amazing place, large forest of pine among the hills. Koel birds used to come here. Now only scenic beauty left. Great place for photography.

Koel point view is a very peaceful place there are lot of forest in the top of netarhat and on the way you will not see any human but don't worry go ahead it's a bit of scary but you will feel good after reaching there , there are benches made up in wood to sit and enjoy the view there are one eatery also run by local where you can order some Maggie and tea with that you can enjoy the view while eating .

Highly underrated place in JH, reminds me of the hindi movies where in actor- actresses run around those tall straight up trees (pine trees) and sing song. A must visit place if you are in Netarhat. There is no ticket, just visit the place and walk up to the view point and enjoy the beauty of nature. Dried up pine fruit can be collected and can be a good decorative piece for home. I am giving 4* and not 5* as there is lot of construction going on at this place and on checking further they state government is building a children' s park at the erstwhile parking place. HOPEFULLY the government has well thought about the idea and is not going to disturb the ecological balance in coming future. All the best for your upcoming visit.

Nice natural landscape, little short of public facilities.

It's a nice place, although, couldn't see the sunrise because of the clouds, the pine forest is really beautiful. Some construction work is going on which is a little eyesore. Hopefully it increases the beauty of the place after its completed.

A very beautiful place to visit but disappointed after seeing the construction at the site... Destroying it's natural beauty.

Elevation Difference: Coming from ranchi which is at 654m of elevation from sea level, one start climbing up and netarhat is at height of 1100+ meters. Time to visit: During winters when the sky is clear and winds are chilly. Distance Travelled: there are two routes to reach from ranchi to netarhat, the one which Google maps will suggest you is 149km which is a boring route. (RNC - bero - sisai - netarhart). What I do, I take (rnc - bero - loherdaga - (break point in "hotel red rock") - netarhat) which is also 150km with much better road and view.. Our stay: Lake view resort which is very near to koel view point and pine forest. Location: The view is terrific and mesmerizing, it's on you how much you can consume and how much you want to capture through your lens. Better place to see and feel the cold breeze and early morning sun on the face and much better place to see the sunrise than the so called sunrise point. It's not about the location it's about the exploration and crunching the distance during the ride you do that matters. Keep the place clean and respect the nature, we got only one mother earth.

Koyel view point is amazing place. Just beside the Lohardaga forest rest house. If there is no clouds and fog then you can see the south koyel river clearly. There is also pine forest.

I didn't get to see the sunset or sunrise but it was anyway too beautiful as you can see a huge area of ground and mountains with koel river crossing through them.

This place has a spectacular view. You just want to sit here by looking over the Koyel river and green valleys and blue hills. This is the place where you just "do nothing ".

Oh! if I could just carry an inch of the lovely Breeze in my pocket back home!!!! Such a breezy place. Just sit by there pre dawn with your guitar. After the sunrise when all go away, u have the place to yourself. Aha! One warning.. Bears are said to frequent the place after sunset. One has to live long without scratch and wounds....

Koel view point also called sunrise point the sunrise was around 6 in the morning we visited the place around 5 the pine forest around there is lovely for many pictures
