Beautiful serene place, must visit for a day or two. Best place stay is Tree House which is inside the park premises. Basic food, accommodation but can't expect more from nature. The balcony itself is worth visiting the place. We were lucky to spot an elephant herd, a lone tusker, a toucan and many varieties of bird. Be aware of monkeys as this place has varieties of different species of them. Don't feed them, don't invite them. Just enjoy the nature and without disturbing them.

You may stay inside the national park the tree houses cost approx 2,500/- to 3,000/- per night. AC is available, nice big rooms, 24hrs water supply. Food is good available in the canteen. You can book the safari at 1200/- and additional 300/- for guide. Power cuts are an issue however the rooms have inverters. Beware about the 🐒 monkeys 🐒 .

It is very big green national park mainly famous for tiger, but now due to different reasons the number of tiger is very less. Best time to visit the site is October month. Tourists can do morning and evening jungle suffery here. The timing is 6 to 10 am and 2 to 5 pm. The cost was 1200 for a 6 seater car along with guide on the month of June 2023. There are 4 roads in the park. Every driver takes a different route and they keep communication between them. If any important animal was seen by any driver it was shared to all. We went for morning suffery and deers and peacocks and many birds were seen in the month of June 2023. There were some pet elephants in the park. We stayed at Hotel Van Vihar. Tree house are available in the national park along with all the facilities. One can feel the charm of nature from the tree house. The canteen facilities are also available. The park is a really enjoyable place for a 1 to 2 day tour. It will take around 4 hours to go to the park from Ranchi by private car, but bus are also available. The road from Ranchi to Betla is very beautiful. One can see some jungle and some small towns shops and living areas along the road. Monkeys are available both in the road and in the park. As a whole it was a good experience. One can go with their family, children and their elderly family members. Apart from hotel Van Bihar there are many hotels available near the national park.

It's a small forest not a "So called National Park". Never seen a tiger by any body ever, means don't go to see A Tiger. If you are so lucky you will get Bison, elephant, jackals and foxes. Deer is the gauranteed animal that everyone has seen. It's one hour journey in closed bolero. Cost you 1200 rupees. You will get a illiterate guide inside your booked bolero who doesn't know difference between leopard and chitah. The nearby Nature interpretation centre is worth visiting than this one. Try to stay inside the park at night in forest houses. Night will be good as you can see tingling eyes of animals. A one day visiting place.

This is a Park in Palamu. As this is maintained by govt I saw very poor condition of museum. Also park was having very less animals. Elephant 🐘 and deer 🦌 can be seen easily even from the fencing of the park. There is a option to go inside for safari on Jeep but you will get very less animal. Tiger 🐅 was there before but now it is not seen at all. Govt need to take more action to improve the pathetic condition of this park. I saw only few visitors from nearby place came, even on Sunday it was very less crowded. This place can be easily reachable as the roads are in good condition but very less no of good hotels are there. So better have food and come.

This place is nice. But if your lucky then only can see Wild animals . Deer and Monkeys are very common. Morning scenes are nice and beautiful. Photo shoot in the morning time will hit like fire. But as it’s evening you won’t enjoy. Can have fun with chilled beer if your hanging out with friends . Can’t have late night foods. They shutter down the stores. And also if you roam around with cars in the evening to watch the animals then might see some, but not sure at all.

To be very honest there are no animals except deers. Three types mainly spotted, barking and barosingho. There are few domesticated elephants which were used for elephant rides. You can spot an occasional peacock and some eagles. But that's it. There are no bisons in the region or tigers although the guide claims there are 4 tigers. The safari cost is 1200 which includes Jeep cost, park entry fees, parking fees, guide fees. Basically all inclusive. For Dslr you need to pay extra 300. The jeep can easily fit 6 persons. The accomodation around the place includes just 2 or 3 places one is van vihar which is maintained by JTDC other is park view which is operated by Latehar tourism. Honestly you can definitely skip the safari. But do explore the Palamau fort nearby.

Betla National Park is a large national park located in Latehar and Palamu districts of Jharkhand state . The total area is approximately 1315 square kilometres . The timing of jungle safari is 6 AM to 10 AM in the morning and 2 PM to 5 PM in the evening . The elephant safari is closed now but you get 4 to 6 seater car for safari at a cost of ₹ 1200 per hour along with a guide . There are many different routes in the jungle . The forest is famous for tigers but the number of tigers is very limited nowadays . In the morning safari we found some tamed elephants , different types of dears , a bison , some peacock , large number of monkeys and some different types of birds . The whole atmosphere is very peaceful and you feel the vibes of wild nature… views , it’s sound , greenery and smells also. The one hour journey was very pleasant and relaxing . Also there are some tree houses and accommodations here where you can stay and enjoy the green views of the jungle and if lucky enough then some wild animals also in the morning or night . In front of the entrance you found some small stalls where you get tea , snacks , water bottles , and some food for breakfast .

This park is a natural park this is not made by human this all the naturals the whole tour of this park by bolero or commander for two to three hours and there's air is very convenient to respiration. Park open time is 06:00 am to 10:00 am and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The closed months are July, Aug and sept. So don't go in these months. And the best season to tour is spring season. If Your car is soundless then you can't go in your car but there is available rental cars like bolero commander and must go there and keep nature live.

A perfect place for nature lovers to enjoy the day with family and friends. It can be reached by public transport easily. The park has a wide variety of plants and animals and has a motorable road to have a better utilisation of the day and look after animals in dense forest cover. A beautiful waterfall is in the park so must visit it. It is also covered under the project tiger, but still in the recent tiger census no tiger has been found that is sad to know. Inspire this it is a very amazing place for visitors.

Utmost beautiful and underrated National park at Palamu in district Medini nagar ( Daltonganj) - Jharkhand. It is one of the oldest national park of India. The road leading to there ,is through deep forest which is well paved and utterly beautiful with 11 small water crossings. Services - 1 . Visiting hours (Safari) - 6 AM - 10 AM 2 PM - 5 PM 2. Tree house ,canteen ,hotel ,lodging facilities are also available . 3. Use online portal of Jharkhand tourism for online booking or, one can do offline booking too after getting there N.B. used to be core Maoists activity zone. So better avoid driving in night time .

Waste of money and time, it deserve -5 (negative 5) rating. Never go inside in Safari you won't see any thing other then some monkeys and deer which you can see from outside also. Deers and Elephant comes near boundary either in morning or in evening.

The Tree House is terrific. Great experience to stay two night. All modern amenities available here. Wonderful ambiance also. Surrounded in Betla National Wildlife park.

It is good for children . Only few elephants, deer, monkeys are available. Jungle safari was done in jeep/bolero/scorpio. Charges are 1250 for one jeep and maximum 6 persons can sit. Fooding /snacks arrangement are not so good in nearby vicinity better to take your own.

Really great place to spend some days in between solitude. The forest is also known for different animals like bison, tiger, wild boars and spotted deer. There are numerous hotels for accommodation here.

Betla National park is good ,u can have wonderful experience if you stay in tree house. There are lots of deer and monkeys. We didnot find leopards and other animals. We saw peacocks and elephants. We saw a herd of elephants on the way to Betla ,we had to wait for them to cross the road -- though we were afraid -- but it was thrilling.

It’s impressive but not that, it’s only 1 hour 15 minutes drive inside the forest, spotted lots of deers and peacock and bison but couldn’t found any Elephant here, only 65 elephants are present here now according to the jungle guide...

Safari starts at 6AM. For covered four wheeler safari Price 1200 (we had 6 people in team). Elephant safari has been closed many years ago. Deer, monkeys can be seen frequently. Many birds are also there but big animals can hardly be seen. Good things is some elephants are kept close to the gate which were previously used in Safar.

We stayed at Betla tree house adjacent to Betla national park for 1 night. Tree house has a good built up. But we noticed so much lack of maintenance all around. We observed elephant, deer, monkey, fox, peacock inside national park.

Located at an average elevation of 1000 ft, the park has good roads that crisscross in the midst of dense jungle offering great views of the habitats for safaris. Best season to visit: November to April How to get there: The nearest airport is located in Ranchi at a distance of 157 km and the nearest railhead is 15 km away which is Barwadih Junction. Price: INR 10 for Indians and INR 200 for foreigners Famous for: being one of the first national parks to come under Project Tiger. ‘Betla’ is an acronym for bison, elephant, tiger, leopard and Axis (Latin name for spotted deer)

After going here.., from outside you can see only monkeys and elephants ...Elephant rides and jeeps are available with guides and spotlight to enter the park, to see from the different types of wildlife,...It took about 1400 rupees for 6 people to roam the forest inside the park.... And when I went around 10 o'clock, I could not roam because the time to go to the forest was 2.00 pm in winter.......Very disappointed...... Betla National Park is located in the Chota Nagpur Plateau of the Latehar district of the Indian state of Jharkhand, in India. The park boasts a wide variety of wild life. “Betla” is an acronym of the following words: bison, elephant, tiger, leopard, axis-axis(Chital)etc....
