This is a beautiful collection of coins collected by a few people kept on exhibition for the public. The coins from 1000AD of Mughals to western and southern dynasties till the British rule presents a valuable trough of history lessons. There is also a fantastic trache of Indian coins. Three of the exhibits had foreign coins right from rare ones to common Euros. The place is well maintained and easy to spot near Sakchi traffic roundabout.

From outside, it doesn’t seems to be a well maintained place, however I read other reviews & understood that it’s nicely maintained inside. I didn’t went inside, as didn’t found any movement in the museum, the doors were closed around 4:45 PM on Sunday.

I went this museum 8 years ago. I saw old coins. Good collection of coins you will find in this place. This place is situated at the center of Jamshedpur city - Sakchi. On road. Easy to reach place. Went again to visit the museum but unfortunately it was closed since March 2022. Hope it will reopen soon. If it is not opening soon it means relocation of the museum will take place.

For all those travelling to Jamshedpur it is important to get acquinted with the past of the region. Thankfully museums spread across the region has everything to make you apprise with the bygone era. The main museum in Jamshedpur is Jamshedpur Coin Museum. It is a house of many ancient to modern and foreign segments coins. Plans are to open a snake museum in the Steel City and is proposed to come up near MGM Medical College. Russy Modi Center of Excellence is designed by the Hafiz Contractor and is another must visit in Jamshedpur.
