I loved their concept. The idea of you buying a fresh-straight-from-the-market-fish and they cook it for you on the spot is just too good to be true. Besides the perfectly cooked salmon and a whole robalo (on my second visit) served with a fresh salad and sautéed vegetables, their service also surpassed my expectations. I have had mixed service experience in Porto, but this one really set the bar to a high standards. I really hope to come across to more places like this one. Not only were they professional and friendly but also really helpful. This is probably the easiest 5* I ever have given.

Fish from the market. You buy it, they cook it. Wine was decent. Good value. Friendly service. Yummy prawns, but they were shelled but not deveined.

Placed inside Fishmarket. You choose fresh seafood and they prepare it. We shared large groupper fish for 6. It was delicious.

Food was quite ok Waiter didn't ask what we want for starter and main dish and decided itself As a results, I was eating my dish while my mother was waiting for her dish forever as we were not informed that they are waiting until I finish my dish. As a results, 1 hour waiting of fish ok grill during not very busy time. At the end, they tell us we cannot pay with card (no one informed in advance). Near ATMs in which u cannot withdraw with paypass. You need only physical card. So me, and the same other client went to hotel by taxi to pick up physical cards (+40 mins and +20 eur) Yeh my blame I didn't have physical card but the restaurant must inform about such things. Then the 2 ATMs they asked me to withdraw the money in, didn't have any cash (of course because everyone from.this restaurant is withdrawing money there) So we went 5 mins to another street to withdraw it. Quite nice food as I said..but no pleasure or positive feelings after such experience. You propose QR code menu but don't accept cards.

Amazing place to have lunch. 🍽 🐠 Fresh fish from the Market (5m away) 😊 The staff is adorable 👨🏻‍🍳 The chef fries the fishes and cooks the dishes perfectly 💰 The price is very honest. Thank you very much.

This place is awesome! you can pick your fish right from the market. The restaurant grills it and prepares it. Delicious! Great price, very friendly staff and cool ambience!

Food was great but overpriced. They said that we can choose and buy the fish from the market and they'll cook it for us for 7€. But it turned out that this "cooking cost" was per person, even if it was just one fish. Altogether, I think that 55€ per lunch for two people is a bit expensive.

This is an excellent experience - choose your seafood/fish and the restaurant cooks it for you! If you are difficult… don’t bother! 🤷‍♂️🤣

Charming, attentive server. Delicious grilled sea bass with roasted potatoes and vegetables. But caution! Prices add up. You pay the fish vendor for the fresh fish. Then you pay 7 euros a head for the table service. Plus 7 euros for the side dishes. Plus a bottle of water. Appetizer, beverage, dessert? Plastic Rubbermaid-type chairs at a Rubbermaid-type table, on the same concrete floor as the vendors cleaning the fish - just on the other side of the plexiglass. And terrible music.

Very good restaurant to eat the seafood you just bought on the market. They certainly know how to cook fish. Baked octopus is one of the best I ever tried (but it may take up to 1,5 hours to cook). Shrimps are to die for. Unlike the many restaurants they know how to use different spices and how to save the taste of the product. They charge for each person at the table so your budget depends mostly on how much did you spend on seafood at the market. We usually pays 50/50 for the food and for the restaurant.

There's only one reason you visit this place: you wan't some specific product from the market. You can buy fish from the market and the personal will cook it for you. But there is no way it would be cheapier or easier than in any other fish restaurant: cooking cost is 7EUR per person, which is "cheap if you buy a lot of fish, because you're not paying for kilo", but you can only eat as many as one, maximum two fish for a couple of persons! With snacks! Remember that fish has a market price, so if you not good at arguing you most likely overpay. The service is bad. The person that welcomes you has only one goal: to have you eat here. After you order, it's all over, you're forgotten. Waitress will look at you while you pouring your wine into the glass yourself. The food is good, owing to the fresh catch on the market. The snacks from the restaurant are ok, it's not something you need to try before you leave the neighbour. Olives were bitter and small. Overall it's overpriced market diner. It's not an experience or a food revelation, just a tourist's cafe.

Fantastic concept. The staff will help you to buy seafood fresh from the market outside and then prepare it expertly.

One of the best places I've tried in Porto. As the board says, everything goes straight from thw market to the table. The sardines were so fresh and tasty. I'm going tomorrow agan

Original concept of bring your own fish - meaning buy it in the fresh fish market - and have it on the restaurant. So the freshness of the fish just depends on your choice! Service and cooking are great, fish is served as it should, with a good salad and a nice slice of bread. Tapas and sparkling wines are also great. Very recommended.

Fantastic! As the German TV-docu said: Buy a fish at the market, they grill it just with olive oil and salt and make a perfect menu for you - side dishes included. For dessert drink a Bengal Amber IPA, Selecao 1927, from Superbock - and you'll be happy for the rest of the day!

We are in Porto for the very first time and we are trying to find all good tastes o and atmosphere of this town and country. Tonight we were looking for the family type small restaurant with traditional food and great people...and Taberna Lusitana is that place. Really nice people, perfect food and beer..all those things together work excellent.
