Spent three days at Hotel Solverde, two sea view adjoining rooms with balconies. The hotel was excellent, room was comfortable and clean. I had a great view of the Atlantic Ocean. Staff was outstanding. Valet parked and retrieved my car in their secure garage, help with luggage, and excellent gym and spa staff. Restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner. Great service and nice selection. The pastry desert buffet for dinner was wonderful. Everyone spoke English which was helpful since I am still learning Portuguese. Highly recommend this hotel and I will be back again soon.

Extremely horrible! Worst living experience I ever had! This may be a five star hotel 50 years ago but definitely not for the millennium generation! Very old fashioned, hair dryer is at granny's age and doesn't work, shower bath looks very old and dirty, they even don't have a proper quilt cover! I was constantly woken up by the neighbors as the room is only isolated by doors... Find a new and modern hotel, even there's no star for it, at least you can sleep well...

Stayed here in April 2023. The room was fabulous. Spotless, spacious and the view was incredible. The staff were so helpful, friendly and welcoming. At the back of the hotel is a tunnel that leads right to the beach and there is also a beautiful boardwalk that leads straight to the town of Espinho. The spa is lovely. It has a large jacuzzi and I had a massage that was very good. Two things I would advise you: 1. Bring your own flip flops! Once the hotel slippers are wet, they are so dangerous around the pool, you will slip and fall! 2. The breakfast is not great. It's fresh and plentiful but just not great for a 5 star. The coffee is terrible and the hot breakfast is just okay. Room Service: we had room service a fee times and resommend the burger or the chicken baguette. They were nice and as we ate out all day, it was sometimes nice in the evening to have a light bite. The burger comes with ham, so make sure you request without if you don't want it. You could walk to Espinho but in hotter days, it would be tough. Uber/taxi is around 7-10 €. I would definitely come back here, its a beautiful hotel, with beautiful views and amenities.

We extended our 2 night stay to 5 nights. The room was excellent. Spacious and very clean. Bathroom had double sinks and a large bath tub. View of ocean was lovely and the outdoor recreation area was perfect. But the clincher for the perfect stay was the dinner we had on our final night. Carlos and Manuel were perfect hosts running the restaurant and treated us like we were special, and the food was incredible. Both entrees and main course were world class and the selection of desserts was very good.

Very thin walls - you can hear the neighbour taking a shower, next room's kids screaming, etc. Not really a good night's sleep. Breakfast is OK but nothing special. Location is good. We had better stays in Portugal for less.

I was a guest at Solverde Hotel in a business trip and I had a great experience! The double room was big and nicely designed, with very comfortable beds. Staff was professional and very friendly. The hotel had great facilities and a big parking. Location was great, very close to the beach. I would come back any time!

I would give a 5 as the continental breakfast is beyond amazing but the personnel are not friendly. Tried to pour some water into a thermos to have on the road and I was told I can't ! Just one floor down you can get as much as you need from a dispenser ! Don't bother to explain that you have paid for the room with breakfast . They barely speak English .

The Hotel Solverde Spa & Wellness Center is a reference in the Porto Metropolitan Region, the only 5 star hotel in the north of the country, located in front of the beach. It is only two minutes from Espinho and just 15 minutes from Porto, this hotel offers the ideal conditions for both leisure tourism and business. It is set in a 2-hectare complex with direct access to the beach. The hotel provides a pleasant atmosphere of relaxation spiced with the scent of sea air and magnificent views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. The gastronomy is also one of the highlights of this Solverde hotel unit, offering a rich and varied range of the most delicious delicacies of traditional Portuguese cuisine. The Spa & Wellness Center is one of the most complete and modern in the country. It provides for the perfect symbiosis between body and mind, offering exclusive treatments, allied to the Thalgo and Terraké brands.

Worst experience in my life ! Should be zero if I had the option. Night manager too lazy to provide toothbrushes at night , booked for honeymoon night no special treatment at all apart from breakfast manager shouting at me for touching the pancake machine which was faulty and empty. And secondly bacon , beans , eggs all empty when asked for refill shouted at once and told they do not speak English. GM seems to think that’s a good standard and offers a swim in the pool as compensation for 300 euros one night . Actual joke of a place !!Would not recommend to my worst enemy

The rooms are ok, and the outside areas are really nice. Too bad the staff in the restaurants almost always seem to be in a bad mood. If you dine in these are the staff members you speak to most frequently.

This was our Porto stop. Good enough + very friendly staff. Tennis courts are typical of what we have found in Portugal - made of gravel, with seams that cause the ball to ricochet off in unpredictable directions! Beds are hard, not so easy for the side sleeper. Breakfast buffet was good with a wide selection of bread, pastries, yogurt, fruit, eggs, bacon + beans.. Never tried dinner here.

Business trip. My stay was in Janury. Rooms were clean and well prepared but looks old. I've been strigling with Wi-fi connection. Excellent breakfasts and very satified with personal.

Not really a 5 star hotel. We stayed here for a week and unfortunately some things you would expect are clearly missing here. There was no coffee machine or kettle in the room, rooms don't get checked regularly and we ended up without toilet paper on several occasions. Breakfast was OK (standard continental breakfast with a big fruit buffet) but some of the staff is very rude and one guy was even shouting at me for heating up the cold crepe from the buffet in the bread oven (since he didn't speak English I still can't figure out what his problem was). The salt water pool was nice (and very warm) but be aware that it stains your swimsuit and leaves an awful smell if you don't wash them. The gym was surprisingly good for a hotel gym, although some of the cardio machines seem a bit rusty. The tennis court looks a bit outdated as well and the mini golf course looks like a battle field. Definitely wouldn't want to come back here again.

The hotel was great. We are here now and we had a great time. Room are clean, classic style, great space, two closets, bathrooms big. The hotel isn’t new but it very confortable. I had sea view and I love open the balcony to heard the sound of the waves. I used the Spa yesterday and I love the Reiki massage. The lady was great and good job. I had experience in Reiki massage so I enjoy it. My husband and I ate at the restaurant and food was delicious and staff are great. We can not complain about the hotel. They work hard to keep the hotel moving in. My best wish for 2022 and I recommend to stay here. Only I recommend to have a car, prices are razonable here in Porto to rent a car. Enjoy this relaxing hotel. Also all room are clean good just in case you worry about covid. They disinfected. Thank for all staff for all you do!

Excellent hotel with good restaurant and bar and exceptional spa facilities. Easy to get onto the boardwalk to walk either north or south. All the staff have been very helpful.
