A very refreshing place amidst the mountains at Cherrapunjee.

This is highly rated pure veg restaurant in Shillong but if you visiting from NCR this is equivalent to very average dhaba of Ncr. Very crowded and long waiting. Service is quite poor. Taste of the food was very average. I would say come with low expectations and you may like that you are able to get decent pure vegetarian North Indian foods.

I really love this place, i mean seriously you will not find a veg restaurant in shillong, it's very rare. Most of the restaurants serve both, but this place is fully vegetarian. I really love the atmosphere of this place, the interior and everything is so pretty and picture-worthy. We reached there very late like around 9 so I didn't get a lot of time to click the pics. If we talk about service then it's lovely, they have so many people so you don't have to wait a lot. Now food, well it's super yummy 😋, i loved it. If you are travelling to northest you will face the same situation we did, the food. Not every restaurant serves this tasty meal that matches your taste. But this restaurant is great, i ordered punjabi dumaloo very tasty, the cold coffee is to die for😍, rumali roti, idli sambhar, cheese dosa everything is just perfect. If your taxi driver will suggest any restaurant then trust him, they know everything. As you will be new to this place.

Food is excellent with very cordial and professional staff. Very good setup and beautiful garden park. Excellent for children. You can spend the whole day clicking photos. It's a must visit place. Come and enjoy.

The only thing I liked about this place is the view and the ambiance of this place. The decor is splendid and the tables are well decorated. The food however is expensive and nothing out of the ordinary. It is a tourist hangout place and nice place to relax after a long drive.

There is a myth that finding good vegetarian food in the North East is a challenge. I have been to many restaurants here in Assam and Meghalaya i didn't find any reason to justify this myth. And this place serves a vegetarian range better than any good restaurant in North India. Dont miss the veg biryani, you will rarely find this taste anywhere in India. Very nice 100% veg place with yummy food. We tried pav bhaji dosa, and cheese paneer pizza dosa, malai kofta ,garlic naan ,rumali roti,butter chapati- all were amazing and satisfactory .

Half the dosa was crunchy and the other half soft. The other 5 had ordered thalis, and the paratha/roti was terrible, not cooked properly. They only had rice with daal. Restaurant is always crowded, large lines. They don’t give food together, seems like they only work on one at a time. The last one came over 45 minutes after the first one came in.

I was seeking for a pure vegetarian restaurant. I'm happy to have found this location. Delicious and wholesome. Service attendant treated me wonderfully and was really courteous.

You can find modern, luxurious environment in freshly air, cool climate friendly Cherrapunji. We visited some 3/4 years back. The food was excellent and service was good.

Food here is worth the money and wait. However it's very crowded during holiday season and staff number is low. But, when at cherrapunji, it's a must visit.

Great experience...good behave, good food, little expensive but quality and taste worth it. We were very late...probably the last customer, till they served the north indian thali with optimum quality...try to go there early; high recommended for veg food lovers.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to all the foodies including non-vegetarians because the quality of food they serve is beyond any other veg restaurants at this price. And the atmosphere, behaviour of the waiters, the location where it's situated and the view from the restaurant are the cherries on top of the cake. Really very appreciative. Mostly I loved this dish called "tawa sabji". Great combination with pulao.

Best Vegetarian Place to eat in Police Bazar Shillong. We ordered Jiva Special Cheese Paneer Pizza Dosa, Chai(Milk Tea), Veg Thali, Masala Uttapam. All the dishes were very good in taste. Only problem is service time, they took so much time to serve the food.

A very clean and hygienic pure veg restaurant with good ambience and food staff is very cordial and well trained if looking for a good veg restaurant head towards this veg restaurant in police bazaar. Stomach filling, tasty food. Prices worth it. Not a huge place but footfall is high. Preparation, services, prices all fine. 5 stars!

Pure veg restaurant situated in police bazar offering a wide range of veg food. Taste is good. The only thing I find disappointing was the price of rumali roti was 95rs which is quite higher for A bread

This is small but pure vegetarian place. There was 5 minute waiting time. Staff cleaned the table diligently. We tried Paneer starter, Sabji and Masala Dosa. All were tasty and not bland like we find in tourist places. Service was quick and staff was good.

One of very few Pure Vegetarian restaurants in whole Shillong. We had to search and reach it in centre of Police Bazaar. It was worth the visit. The food was very well prepared and Menu has all options ranging from North Indian to South Indian delicacies.

Loved the food! Even the non-veg eaters will enjoy it. The portion size is good. However the crowd is huge.

Purely vegitarian dishes for Jiva Veg. Very clean and maintain hygiene. Price too hike as per the quantity (exp Tawa roti just ₹35/-). But I like the dishes....

Veg food and in Shillong - Jiva chain of restaurants is the place to be. Situated in police bazaar, the main commercial area of Shillong, this is definitely a place to visit for all tourists who have been bored to death by Maggi or are pure Veg. The Good It's a south Indian centre where other types of food is also available but it caters predominantly to your hunger of dosas! We ordered a lot - Masala dosa, Jiva special dosa, Jini dosa, chocolate dosa, schezwan dosa .... Service is prompt and delivery is fast. Food quality is good though you can desist from chocolate dosa and spring rolls. Location is police bazaar, so you can shop pre and post meals. The ambience is ok though a bit claustrophobic! The Bad Service offered without a smile - that's typical Meghalaya. It seems they just don't like Indian tourists! In fact when we had mangoes from a street vendor, she was all smiles and willing to talk but the educated ones just dislike or maybe that's the feeling our group got. There is also a Non-veg chinese joint at the basement and this is where the washrooms are located. So a bit inconvenient. The Ugly The chocolate shakes are not at all impressive - avoid!

Ambiance, the food taste and service were good. The only issue was that our table was near the utensils cleaning area was a little smelly and unhygienic. But overall the place and kitchen area were clean and well decorated.
