Thanks to Raza Foundation, there's a chance to see more late Raza ay Yugma II, that previewed today at D-40 Vadehra. But the real undercurrent of this loosely put together exhibition (on till March 22) is some of the canvases of the last living member of the Bombay Progressive Artists Group, Kishen Khanna. There's one great canvas from 1982 of the Nocturnes series, that is unfortunately squeezed in too tiny a corner on the 1st floor of the gallery. Some excerpts from the many letters that were written between Raza and Khanna were displayed on some of the wall faces. All in all, a great way to celebrate Raza Sahib's 97th birthday, all thanks to the Raza Foundation. Vadhera, 53 first time after the virus, facing greatness yet again, Mohamedi in full view, as many as 38 canvases!!

Excellent stock of Art and aesthetic based books to pick up from here. Rare collections of early works by the who's who of the artists from contemporary Indian Arts scene. The stairs to reach the Gallerys and the bookshop are a bit steep though.

One of India's leading art gallery. Have various famous and young contemporary artists. Location is very close to Lajpat Nagar metro and has a small gate close to shops on main road for people to walk into the society it is located in. .

I would recommend the other Vadehra Art Gallery few blocks away for more experimental and youth inspired artworks. That is a must see if you are around.

The place has a calm reading room with a fine collection of books on art it's history and masters of the field. It's a delight to read here.
