Famous for their giant river prawn. It’s slightly inaccessible by vehicle. It’s popular with locals. The decor is vintage with many vintage deco. Views by the side of the river is excellent and romantic. There will be live music performance on Saturday and Sunday. It’s out of the way but well worth a visit. Food is Thai local and delicious.

Date of visit : Thurs 18th Aug 2022 We were there on a weekday night. This restaurant is located by the Chao Phraya river. When my friend parked on a road nearby. I couldn’t see any restaurant of this size. We walked to an opening narrow alley and just when I thought we would be walking in, along came a Tuk-tuk. My friend prompted in Thai to the driver. We then hopped in. Really intriguing. This was our transport in, the restaurant shuttle. It has 2 decks, and even a pavilion stretching out into the river, for patrons. The ambience is great, nicely lit and decorated. We ordered 3 dishes. The grilled river prawn was just ok, not soft but rather chewy. The other 2 dishes were delicious on the other hand. Beautiful place for dinner. Romantic for couples, if it’s not crowded.

Very good dinner with sunset view. River prawns are fresh and big but a little bit pricey. Other dishes are good and reasonable price.

Such a unpleasant experience. Everything was so nice having a nice meal and good food by the aisle seating. However when a passing rain came. The staffs were friendly and offered to help shift us to the sheltered area. This is where the disaster happens. Apparently, quite a couple of the food that I’m having half way were thrown away and the staffs didn’t check if we still wants it or not. None of them even realised until I highlighted to one of the staff. The whole dining mood was destroy.

The food isn't great. We ordered the signature river prawn dish but the prawn was so undercooked that I couldn't eat it. The green curry chicken sauce was nice but the chicken in the curry was really tough. It was also overpriced, we got charged 3500 baht for 2 people! Not worth the long drive from Bangkok. Won't recommend this place at all, especially for the price and location.

Called late 7.30pm to see how busy they were and managed to speak to bossman mr long. :) who took my reservation and gave me directions. Confirmed that there were jumbo prawns left! It’s a Saturday night and traffic is jammed in every direction! After an hour in traffic the taxi dude pulls up in front... not being local it was a bit of a shock! Siam 77 is in an alley (a car can fit) our taxi dropped us off in front of the alley.. it was like a square of some sort. Last night it was movie night!! Large projector screen you normally expect on stage. Speakers were so loud that vibrations came through the taxi. We were like those idiots who stand up and talks in the middle of an action sequence; screen on our left locals on the ground and other vantage points on our right! Anyway apprehensively walked through the alley and eventually heard the music and was warmly greeted by Mr Long. Saw the familiar setting of where many foodies have taken instapics of these large prawns.. only 3 left!!! I wasn’t disappointed! They looked pretty good. Big!! Have shared my not so insta worthy pics.. they don’t do it justice. The prawns were amazing!! Big succulent and very fresh! The butter is unlike any other kind I’ve had before. The only way I can describe this is that it almost reminds me of the best chinese mitten crab roe crossed with the Ipoh big head prawn?!?! The Thai chillie special sauce it came with was hot but very addictive!! We tried other dishes on the menu as well. The fish pancake.. This fish thingy red curry type sauce that just scrapes off the bone and prawn omelette... were good too. But the highlight of the night besides the boy from the restaurant taking us on his tuc tuc to get us a taxi would definitely be the butter head river prawn, the friendliness of the staff and the setting!! Table right next to the river and artificial winds from the fans :))) All in all a fantastic experience.. can highly recommend and would definitely come back the next time am in the area.

A bit remote from down town, nice river view. It's famous in giant river prawn🦐. I ordered 2 grilled river prawns, the prawns were so big (forearm long), freshy and meaty. The orangish crab butter was so tasty!😋 Other food was also very good. Excellent ambience, it was a suprise to have live singer🎸🎶. I had a very pleasant experience during my visit in the evening☺️

Very calm atmosphere. Excellent food, especially the huge river prawn. A little difficult to get to the restaurant by car. The service is quite good. We went there in group and got a Riverside table. Very nice view of Chaophraya River.

River prawn is one of the biggest I have ever seen in Thailand . Seafood sauce may be too spicy for foreigner or people who like mild taste. This is local family restaurant near riverside so the view is really stunning for sunset time.

Yummy grilled fresh river prawn. Thai foods varieties with its cozy space of old house on the river side. Chill live music in the evening.

Prawns were a little under cooked. But every things else was perfect. Its a little bit out of the way, but well worth the effort. Staff were really friendly and attentive.

Best grilled prawn ever. Good authentic Thai taste. Great service. Nice place and atmosphere. But the way in is a bit difficult to drive in.

Food is wonderful, especially the fresh giant river prawn! What really impressive is their very very good service, polite, and courtesy to help to order taxi to make sure we have transport back to Bangkok city.
