I enjoyed staying here for much of my trip to Thailand. It’s definitely off the beaten track for western tourist. There were many Asian groups and tourist moving though. I never really had hot water on the 8th floor, but everything else worked well. I stayed one night on the 5th floor. It was very dingy and not updated. The air conditioning was wacky, but I did have hot water. Lol. It’s not fancy though I believe it was at one point. I liked being away from downtown, the restaurant and cafe was nice. Laundry is ridiculously expensive (I didn’t pay for it at the hotel) but other than that it’s was lovely

Can't understand the reviews here. If you are not at a convention I cannot imagine the benefit to staying at this property. The place is not close to anything is very dated, no HVAC in common areas so it's outside temp and humidity, food and drink prices are high, just... I cannot imagine any reason to stay other than for a convention. 0 stars is too harsh as I don't have any bad experiences with staff... who I assume are nice.

Extensive grounds, ample opportunities for events and weddings, and good when you are looking for something near Don Muang airport. However, it has seen better times. Particularly the rooms, the hallways (thick carpets, dusty displays, and in parts of the hotel, the signage may guide you in the wrong direction - sorry but it is true) and public areas do require a major touch-up. For what you pay, I would suggest keeping an eye out.

June 2021. During covid, I can understand the hotel is reducing expenses. But it turns a result that the hotel is under staffed, restaurants closed (be prrpared to be hungry if you dont get to dinner before 7pm), and facilities not in services. Many staffs are impolite and rude, I can see under-staff is the reason to this. Only one receptionist, she's hurrying us to checkin while a mailman is waiting, picking up in house calls... Its a chaos and she turns up rasing her voice at me for no reason. Most restaurants are closed. Ground floor's cafe have a smaller menu than a sidewalk hotdog stand. And at night, after 7pm theres no staff to serve you... The Chinese restaurant is so chaotic in management, I waited one hr for my dimsum to be served and 1/3 of my order is missing until one kind lady care to come and clarify. Food quality is good, but if you stay here, better be prepared with snacks because 90% room service menu is not available, and serve latest 8.30pm. coffee shop close around 9pm, but all cakes and food are gone way before that. The location of the hotel is not possible for customers without vehicle to get food from outside. I am not sure if grab food can be ordered or not, but I doubt the hotel will let drivers in. --------------------------------- Jan Feb 2022. Updating, return here for tennis tournament, staffs are all back, and hotel is more lively. Facilities still not all open for service, and only coffee shop is open as restaurant. However service is back to normal and deserve a 4 star review now.

Good things: - The lunch time buffet is good. - The room is nice. - 20 minutes taxi drive from Don Muang Airport. Inconvenient things: - The hotel is far (not a walking distance) from 7-eleven and shops. - The hotel is far from central bangkok. - The toilet flushing sometimes doesn’t work properly. - Sometimes there are insects in the bathroom. - The signage of where is the room is not clear, and not intuitive, i two times went to the wrong direction.

Rama garden overall is pleasant however the showers are outdated. Very nice and friendly staff not much to do in walking distance. Great breakfast. Has onsite restaurant plus bakery and coffee bar. Free Wi-Fi

This is one of our worst experiences in Bangkok. The area of the hotel is huge, they have multiple community halls, multiple restaurants and cafes. It seems that the hotel has passed its good days. They tried their best to renovate the rooms to give it a modern look. - They could not provide us the Room even after check in time, we had to wait more than one and half hours at the lobby - Communication is a real challenge, almost nobody understands English - Wifi does not work - Food quality was also not up to the mark - The hotel is located under a flyover, you will always need a cab to go outside - There is no restaurant near the hotel, so you cannot even go outside to avoid hotel's food - They also quoted a much higher price, when we ask them to arrange the cab ****AVOID THE HOTEL AT ANY COST****

Stayed for 2 nights and i think it’s quite far from the downtown(?) First night i stayed alone and it’s quite inconvenient to go around. We need to walk on the pedestrian bridge if we don’t have vehicle. But it can be good for group trip, we can share taxi fares. Receptionist not so responsive but security is so kind. On the first day, i’m walking and security said i can wait for a buggy car to pick up in the gate. They have wide grounds from gate to the main lobby. Some scenery really relaxing. Can order foods but prices quite expensive, so maybe delivery is better.

Was there for an official travel last Nov 3-6, 2023. Got a room for two and just have enough space. Rooms have the ff. Amenities: -hot and cold shower -toiletries - complementary water and coffee -water heater- -Safety box - cabinet -mini fridge However, they do not have bidet. Asked the front desk for a bucket or a pail, however, to no avail. As a true-blooded Filipino 😅I am used to having this in our toilets. I also cannot connect to their wifi in my room. Good thing a bought a tourist sim card with data at DMK via klook.

A beautiful hotel somewhat let down by the general maintenance. Plumbing in the room needs updating. Wifi is a pain but works OK once you can get online - but regularly makes you go through a full login process every time you use it. Breakfast excellent. Very friendly staff. Comfortable and large bedroom.

On check in I requested a room with stable internet connection and strong wi fi because I need it for my occupation. To cut a long story short my request was addressed over and above my expectations! The staff will bend over backwards to assist you in this establishment, especially the IT technition needs a mention. In addition the ambiance here is so peaceful, tranquil and soothing for any weary soul. Glad I chose Rama Gardens.

Very big hotel and spacious rooms. They provided us early check-in too. Clean and nice rooms. They even provide bathrobe, dental kits, body lotion and a dressing table and also a workstation. Really liked the stay in this hotel.

Poor service. Staff there does not have a service mind, always with an angry face. The towel in my room stained with blood. I asked them to change and they didn’t even say sorry!

Good mid-range hotel near Dong Muang Airport and Kasetsart University. Ideal if you have something to do there. A quiet island in a bustling city. However, a bit far from the city center and the various possibilities for excursions. But for us the location was ideal. That's why we chose this hotel.

Personally, I think this hotel is overrated. It's close to the airport which is good, but the rooms were nothing special, Very expensive for Bangkok, the Wi-Fi in my room barely worked, and it's far from everything to the point where you need a scooter or taxi. Overall overrated.

This hotel was over priced and a bit dingy. The staff were not very friendly compared to many other places we have stayed. The wifi doesn’t work in the rooms, it logs you off very few min and takes for ever for anything to load. I wouldn’t mind but I work remotely so I need good wifi. The breakfast was good but again way over priced. It had a “fancy” lobby and some beautiful gardens outside, guess that’s what we were paying for. Wouldn’t recommend with so many options to chose from.

It's quite a palace like hotel to dwell in, the fresh air and the quiet atmosphere are good for musing. But unfortunately we are here for exhibit, the distance will lead us an extra earlier trip in the morning. And I do despite the no tip no shampoo underhanded policy room service. Btw, their breakfast are delicious with the limited choices though.

I think this is not the normal goto hotel for tourists. I happened to be here attending a Conference and stayed here for a few nights. The place is very tranquil, unlike the hustle and bustle of Bangkok downtown. It feels like an oasis on its own. Even though the entrance it is next to the highway, the inner hotel compound is some distance inside. The rooms are clean (I did a comparison between the old wing and executive wing and decided to upgrade to the latter instead). The food here is also very good. I can even see sunset of the room. Overall a pleasant stay.

It's very spacious hotel as you can even run 1km around hotel's parameters. There're gym, swimming pool available. But the rooms are quite old and long time not being renovated. The laundry service is good & fast, hotel staffs very friendly but little bit ..old.

The facilities are amazing! There is a huge swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, large grass fields, nice gym and many more. It also has a huge variety of food like Japanese, Chinese, Italian and western. Also the staff are very nice. I especially recommend the donuts at the cafe

Nothing special about this hotel. I bought "seafood puffs" and cakes from their bakery shop to find at home next morning that they were puffs filled with chicken sausages!😕 Then called them to share my experience, and they just said "sorry" & that's all. So please be careful what you buy there. Otherwise "waste of your money"! And one more thing: their chicken and beef items are NOT HALAL certified. So muslim people like me had to contend myself with fish or seafood, but then you get cheated over that too!..😕

The hotel is a bit old but is in good shape. Their massive garden is definitely their main selling point. The epidemic almost emptied the hotel (Jan2020).

A wonderful hotel not too far from Don Meung. We stayed a week and would gladly stay again. The beds were perfect, air con was powerful. And the food!!! Wow. Loved the food. The bread was beautiful and tasted great. Can not recommend this place enough.

Worst stay. AC couldn't keep the temp correctly. Was never told about no toiletries. They provide you with wifi for half your stay only for two devices. Hotel did a great job checking us in but things started to fall apart. Was here for a wedding and they couldn't keep to the wedding schedule. Missed half of the scheduled ceremonies. Poor room lighting. They couldn't bring up additional lamps. Needly to say won't be staying here again. If your planning a wedding choose somewhere else.

Buy 2 smoothies that say 150 on the menu each. Total 300. No, they charge an extra 53 baht service fee, so 353 baht. Don't like those surprise give me more money tricks. First hotel for me in Thailand that does this, and I don't like it. It feels different if the menu says 175 baht. Would have paid that also, but without the feeling being scammed for pocket change.

The hotel is not convenient at all for tourists or travelers in terms of location. Although the room rate is lower, the overall expenses that one has to spend for choosing this hotel is not any lower than getting a room in the Bangkok city. Better think twice!

location is a little out of the way and difficult to get to, in addition to the long driveway into the hotel . other than that the rooms are clean and the hotel is very luxurious feeling. the pools are beautiful and has tennis court

When our flight got cancelled due to engine problems, the airline gave us free accommodations here while they fixed the problem. the hotel was 10mins away from Don Mueang Airport. The beds were comfy and the hotel itself was pretty big. That's all I can say since we had to leave at dawn.
