The Throne Hall Phra Thinang Chakri Maha Prasat, the Chakri Group is part of the Grand Palace complex and offers a unique blend of traditional Thai architecture and 19th century European styles. The Grand Palace complex is located in the heart of Bangkok. The palace was the official residence of the kings of Siam (and later Thailand) since 1782. The king, his court and his royal government were located on the palace grounds until 1925. The Grand Palace is still used for official events. Several royal ceremonies and state events take place within the walls of the palace every year. It is one of Bangkok's busiest tourist spots, so let your guide, if you have one, show you how to best enjoy your visit to this often crowded place. Entrance fee is 500 baht. The changing of the guard takes place every two hours in the forecourt.

This building was a royal residence built by King Rama V in 1877. The original design by British architect Mr. John Clunish called for three domes over the building. However, at the suggestion of former regent Somdej Chao Phraya Borom Maha Sri Suriyawong, King Rama V had these replaced with Prasat towers. So this is the only building in the Grand Palace where the lower part of the European-style throne room was combined with a Thai-style roof. King Rama V used this building as his residence. Later it was used by the king to receive the credentials of ambassadors, but now this ceremony takes place in the Chitralada Palace. And now this building is used for state banquets. It is a three-story building built on the floor plan of the letter "T". The front of the building consists of three parts. They are the east wing, the central wing and the west wing. These parts are connected by long corridors. - The first floor is used as a museum of ancient weapons. - The room on the second floor of the east wing is used as a reception room, and the room on the third floor is used as a storage place for the cult objects of the kings. - The space under the central Prasat roof is used as a shrine for the ashes of Kings Rama IV to VIII and the principal queens of King Rama IV, V and VII. The room on the second floor of Central is the entrance hall. - The room on the second floor of the west wing is used as a reception room. The room on the third floor of the West Wing is used for storing the ashes of the minor queens and members of the royal family. There are images of kings on the second floor of the east corridor and images of queens on the west corridor.

Wandering around, take pictures and admire the amazing Grand Palace are wonderful. A great building located within Wat Phra Kaew or Grand Palace complex that you shouldn't miss to see is the Chaki Maha Prasat Throne Hall. It was built in the reign of King Rama V in 1876. The building is the blend of traditional Thai and European architecture styles. Awesome!

What a beautiful area of the Grand Palace! The lawned gardens and the perfect topiary trees all look so fresh and cared for in the soaring heat! We loved seeing the giant bonsais in the decorated pots too. Stunning buildings in beautiful gardens.

The pa-thi-nang-chak-kee-ma-ha-pa-sat building was constructed in the reign of king rama the fifth to commemorate the centenary of the Chak-kri dynasty. It was designed in renaisance  style with pure Thai style roof, or the nickname as "The westerner with Thai hat". On the second hall is the central throne hall. Now use as Royal audiance. And on the topfloor, The royal ashes are kept. 📍On 5th May 2019,On this coronation ceremony of king rama the tenth, the king might stand at the bacolny and wave his hand here. We are so exciting. Hit "LIKE" if it useful.😍

(Translated by Google) 500BATHS THE ENTRANCE !!!! We are very crazy. That price is a pretty penny. The rest of the places are usually either free or 50B. Not worth it. In addition, there are usually people in the suburbs who, saying that they want to help you, try to sneak in that it is closed and that they better take you with a colleague so that you "take advantage" of the day. TIMO !!!!! (Original) 500BATHS LA ENTRADA!!!! TIMO!!!!!
