The old lady in the office seems to hate foreigners, I was extending my stay time 10 days, she accepts the money, then comes up to room later to say she changed mind and will only give partial refund on the future dates. car was also blocked in and she would not try to help. She would not get owner on the phone(I think she was trying to keep him from knowing she was keeping some $). I had to contact the royal police and have them arrive and force her to refund me. I would avoid if your not a local or keep police on speed dial when she tries this on you.

Ok first, I have a very in-depth review because I have perspective, as I've lived at this amazing Mom-and-Pops establishment for 1.5 years. I truly (and humbly) believe my review has clout and validity. One of the main reasons I stayed so long is because I was a teacher in Nonthaburi and have a small dog, and the Vanlisut was the only hotel in Nonthaburi that accepts small dog and - I had no idea and was so lucky that *this* was the hotel I stayed at because of all the perks mentioned below. Like the other reviewer said, absolutely do *not* be fooled by this hotel's exterior, as you *will* be missing out! This place is 100% a hidden gem!! There is a definite reason they have ny long-term residents like I was myself (of course you can stay as short as 1 or 2 days if you'd like tho).The *only* reason I moved out today (Sept 11, 2020) is because my job is very far away in Hua Lamphong, otherwise, I would still be living at the Vanlisut due to (many reasons), one of which it is very close proximity to 2 great malls with phenomenal food, clothes stores, grocery stores, etc! - I explain more below). With that said, there are just *so* many positive things that I can say about the Vanlisut. Where do I even begin?!? Their rates are very affordable for the great quality you get, you are in such close proximity to everything you can think of or need, it is safe even as a female walking at night, etc. I also need to mention that, as someone who was born and raised on O'ahu, Hawai'i (USA), I am pretty familiar with the tourism/hospitality industry and the importance of quality customer service and quality of services offered in general. If a business has poor customer service, I will leave immediately because life is too short to spend your hard-earned money on a business that doesn't care or simply value me as a customer. The Vanlisut very much values their customers with all sincerity, you can feel their warmth, and care, which is why I stayed there for so long. I want them to succeed so much because they work so hard and they love this hotel (as do I - plus, I would love to visit again in the future dangit! Lol). I also need to mention that I have very high standards in terms of sanitation overall and have seen over my 1.5 year stay that they are consistently very clean. The owners, Chanchai and his mother do an excellent job making sure their hotel is always welcoming (they are responsive when you need anything), you are always accomodated with anything you (they have daily cleaning service if you wish, or you just let them know what you need) and you will always receive prompt, genuine and caring customer service. And good God, I need to say that I have never seen *anyone* work 7 days a week nearly 12+ hour days like they do. They are constantly working to make this already great hotel even better! They just added a cute little koi pond in the front of the hotel which is so peaceful & serene. They are always looking to improve. Around the hotel, Chanchai's mother has a lot of gorgeous green plants and walking around the Vanlisut is so calming ane feels like a tranquil oasis because you feel like you are in nature with all the natural greenery. This hotel is their true lifeblood, they live and breathe this hotel and they definitely cherish and appreciate their customers). The nearest mall to the Vanlisut is Pantip Plaza (which is known as the "technology mall", plus, it has other shops like Mr. DIY, Tops, Cafe Amazon, KFC, Texas Chicken, Oishii, and many more as they have 6 levels of stores!), there are a plethora/a ton of fruit and veggie vendors nearby, clothes vendors, anything fashion vendors just a few minutes walking distance. Oh, if that wasn't enough, there is a 7-11 right downstairs from the Vanlisut which is so convenient! The Mall Ngamwongwan (8 min walk) now actually competes with The Emquartier and Centralworld. To name a few, they have Tim Hortons, Mos Burger all the way to Sushi a Seki and Aka! I ❤ the Vanlisut!!

Don't be fooled by the fact it's near the main road: it's actually tucked away on a side road that gets very little traffic, so rest assured it is actually fairly quiet and great if you're looking for a quiet night's sleep. It's an absolutely lovely and cosy hotel, and like I said, a quiet place to stay. The bed is strategically placed, so the sunlight won't blast you in the eyes early in the morning, which is great stuff! Also the shower room door is really cute with its stain glass window. You also get a decent sized fridge/freezer too. The owners are also extremely friendly and also have a cat, bird and some fish, if you're into pets like me. Only complaint I have is the bed is quite hard, although that might be a Thailand thing. Overall, highly recommend this place!! Would love to stay here again!!

Excellent service! Nearby mall, bus 63 goes to mo chit bts interchange for 7.50baht. Fruit shops nearby as well. Hotel has all amenities. Only suggestion is liquid soap and shampoo. This is the best value for money you can find in Bangkok. It also has a clothes rag so you can wash and dry them in the balcony.

Great hotel with big rooms, fridge, kettle, utensils & complimentary water/coffee/tea. Highly accessible, near the main road. Nearby there is a mall(Pantip Plaza), 7-11 & many shops & stalls. Peaceful stay with comfortable beds & decent Air-con. Friendly host lady. Recommended & will come again.

For the price it was a really great room! Very specious and quite clean! Really recommend it unless you want a central place to stay! The only bad thing was the location:( even if you order food the delivery is so expensive here… other than that, great stay 😍 and the people are super friendly!!

Good place to stay! A clean place with good amenities: Refrigerator, bottled water and more. Personnel worked very hard to keep place clean and keep guests comfortable. Easy to take Skytrain from Airport and then short taxi ride to Hotel. I found it even quicker to take Taxi to 7Eleven and then walk to hotel.

I have stayed here twice before and enjoyed my time here. The only thing that needs improvement is the bedroom furniture could do with upgrading. Apart from that I enjoyed my stay and will return there when I come back to Bangkok 😃

Very good hotel. Little bit hard to get to. But everything was clean and everything worked very well little bit of noise from the street but not overwhelming. Most of time very quiet hotel. Staff very friendly and does speak English 7-Eleven just around the corner

I went there yesterday, nice hotel with lovely cats. Clean ,nice , friendly and polite landlord with warm welcome. Only 3 minutes walk to Pantip plaza department store. I think it safe for woman who love to travel alone

This place has some serious issues with the bed's mattresses . Otherwise the rooms are quite comfortable and clean for the money that you pay. There's a 7/11 just 100 meters walk that is very convenient. It's advisable to give the address of seven eleven to the taxi drivers otherwise you will get unnecessary trouble since this little street along the hotel is one way and on Google map it navigates them doing a circle to reach this address. By giving them the 7/11 address you can make both of your and your taxi drivers' lives easier. You can take the 522 bus to victory monument that is a square which is near many central places including the BTS train station. The Nothanburi civic center is the closest MRT station to this hotel but you still need a taxi to get you to the hotel because the remaining distance (around 4km) is not walkable.
