Overrated, overpriced and issues with service integrity. I decided to give this restaurant a try after reviews and seeking an opportunity to give the family a treat in Bangkok. I was disappointed with experience. Felt I was mislead into over ordering when Head Waiter said I did not order enough and was pushing me to order the expensive sea bass. I felt at the end of the meal we had over ordered. Food experience was average at best. There are some good dishes like the lamb masaman and spice eggs. Morning glory is used very innovative style for one dish. However, the order dishes were very ordinary - surprise given the Michelin rating and strong reviews in the press. Having experienced Michelin recommended restaurants before, in most cases, you leave these restaurants with a standout experience ( dish or service level). Sadly in this case I felt there was nothing like this

Great Thai experience! We chose this place since it was available at the time and we’re overwhelmed by the Thai food here. Not a huge place, the place was great to talk and dine without too much noise. The service was extremely attentive and the waiter/waitress explained the food, ingredients, sometimes with photos. We ordered a few finger foods and mains to share and all of them were tasty. Green curry was very spicy for my friends but I loved it even so. We enjoyed the meal very much and thought we’re lucky to nearly own the place - - with only two other tables taken. Definitely I recommend this place and shall come back for my next visit to Bangkok. Cheers and my regards to Baan staffs.

A lovely small restaurant. Highly rated for a reason. Friendly service and a homely vibe. The food was good. Do try their local Thai cocktails. Refreshing. The service really stood out. A very good evening for our group.

My last nights visit wasn’t planned. Just happened to walk by this restaurant and saw that it’s a Michelin star restaurant so just walked in for a try. Asked the server which one is their most famous dish and she recommended me the egg and pork stew. And I asked for a mild spice instead of the regular. It had a really good kick to the flavor and had me sweating eating it. Because it’s a stew so I paired it with a bowl of brown rice. It was perfect! After reading their menu, I realized that all the ingredients are organic and careful selected. I guess that’s what had pushed the prices up but I think it’s worthy. I also ordered a Thai lemon tea which was surprisingly refreshing for a hot afternoon. I would definitely like to come back to try other signature dishes.

Nothing special, normal easy to find 60-80 baht food but cost 400-600++ here. Service standard isn’t there, just too homy. Feel like having dinner at a not very welcoming friend’s place. Didn’t take any picture, and likely not to visit again.

Was very impressed with this restaurant when we first visited 4 years ago and it was a memorable meal. However this recent visit left us very disappointed. Somtum was drenched in fish sauce and too salty, Massaman curry too sweet, tomyum felt watery, beef fried basil was bland and Pad Thai lackluster. Only the fish cake was acceptable. Overall the quality of food has deteriorated, not sure if it happened after the Michelin award. Feels like the chef has changed. Will not come again.

(Translated by Google) A gourmand restaurant. There are many other restaurants with better taste at a lower price. Only one worth trying is Masaman lamb. Westerners eat Thai people, don't like to be sweet, expensive. (Original) Far from what I expected from a bib gourmand restaurant. A nice cozy place that serves modern Thai traditional food presented with modern setting. Very dish was tasty and well executed. Flavors we strong and authentic. You can see Thai female chefs in the kitchen. Cocktails we well made and flavorful. Good wine and sake list to complement the food. Service is professional and knowledgeable. Specials usually available. Credit cards and reservations taken.

When I’m Bangkok you have to try this place. We had a selection of four of their dishes with the stand out meal being the massaman curry with lamb. This is unreal!! Personally, I wouldn’t choose the stir fired minced beef with holy basel again but the other three were some of best Thai meals I have had. On the expensive side but the quality and service are worth it.

Amazing Thai food made in style. The restaurant is located in proximity of embassies. The space itself is quite compact, dining and bar on street level and kitchen upstairs. Very friendly atmosphere and everyone pays attention on service.

Went there with high expectation but nothing impressive. Ordered deep fried fish, stir fried pork jawl and egg stew, personal opinion, they were not tasty for Thai but might be good for foreigners. A bit expensive when compared with quality.

From an out-of-towner's perspective, I find this restaurant awkwardly positioned amongst its competitions - it's not as accessible or even tasty as a good casual restaurant, but it's not as well structured or well ran as a fine-dining. The dishes are small-portioned and nice, although we had an issue where a dish was not made as expected (we ordered a "sweet and mildly spicy" dish - according to the menu, to balance out our meal. But the dish came out tear-inducing spicy). Drinks are priced in line with fine-dining. Service-wise, I feel like it can be great, depending on how many drinks you order... On the whole, it was an average experience for me. We probably won't be back, but I felt there was a lot of underutilised potential.

Extremely expensive tiny modern bar-cum-restaurant on Wireless Road that seeks to be uniquely different from other trendy Thai outlets of fusion twist. Honestly, the price doesn't justify the quality, even the ambience itself. Don't be fooled by the pictures and the website. The positive is that the wine list is pretty decent for Thai restaurant like this. With the same amount of money, I could have blown it at much classier place in NYC. Hello, this is Bangkok and it is so easy to find way better and authentic food elsewhere at a fraction of the price. This place is totally for farang Western tourists. Stay away from this trap.

The service is great. Attentive but not intruding. Good food but I feel they have tuned down the flavors for tourists. While the food didn’t wow me, i feel the effort they put into their dishes. For example, they roast the nuts for my papaya salad, which makes all the difference.

The lady who was in reception is super respectful and helpful, and when we asked for Muslims-friendly food she was more than happy to assist. They even offered to wash the utensils used to cook our food not to be mixed with non-vegetarian kind. The food is delicious, clean, and full of flavor, and even the seafood was properly cooked. The atmosphere is cozy.

We went to this restaurant for lunch. The place is small but comfortable with high ceiling. The food is nice, too. The sun-dried pork was my favourite and the green curry was also nice with different parts of the beef in it.

A truly outstanding experience at this lovely Thai restaurant! A very surprising wine list with some rarities at great value e.g. a 2012 Twomey Cellars Merlot by the glass. Extremely attentive, caring amd thoughtful service by the team. It feels like dining in a residence, yet it evokes a cosy atmosphere. Great place near Lumpini Park, yet it feels off the beaten track. Did I mention the great food quality? They put a lot of emphasis on providing sustainably sourced items, with the menu reflecting detailed information on this. Highly recommended!

Traditional Thai Food in a Contemporary Setting Baan is a modern restaurant serving traditional Thai food which reminded me of the old Candlenut Kitchen in Singapore. We had the Yum Pak Bung Kob, crispy morning glory salad with shrimp and pork which resembled tempura in texture. I also thoroughly enjoyed the stir-fried pork jowl in red curry paste which has tender pieces of pork jowl tossed with a robust and spicy red curry sauce.

Good food at Baan restaurant. Located very close to Lumpini Park. We had a deep fried sea bass (well cooked, not oily and crispy, you can eat the whole fish), spring rolls and pad Thai. Nicely done, I read this place in different blogs and articles and well deserve a visit.

The dishes we ordered were absolutely amazing, the staff was kind. And they knew about the dishes if you asked them questions. Their recommendations were also very good. It is a small place, But perfect if you want a chilled, relaxed dinner. The ambient is really nice.

Delicious home cooked meals in a chic restaurant setting at affordable pricing. Staffs speak fluent, conversational English, and are friendly and helpful. I tried the pad Thai, which is uniquely wrapped in an omelette, and the mango sticky rice. Both of which are flavourful and authentic. Highly recommended.

(Translated by Google) Michelin star restaurant but one wonders why ...? The pork cheek salad was very good, the massam curry too. The sea bass was dry from being overcooked and the fish fritters chewy. The service was surprisingly unsmiling. In addition, the server running constantly near our table made the atmosphere a bit heavy and gave us the impression that we had to leave. If we add that the addition was far from being light, we tell ourselves that this restaurant is a casting error and that we would have done better to eat elsewhere.

We come here to have a dinner because of that we heard they are bib gourmand restaurant, but we feel everything is just fine after the dinner, nothing impresses or surprises me. They have some signature food and not bad taste but at first we just expect it would be really impressive because of bib gourmand. Compared with the price, there are better options.

Got a taxi across the city in typically insane rush hour traffic for a Michelin starred chef's take on home cooked Thai food; turns out I've just wasted my last evening in Bangkok. They're not open an hour and 45 minutes after their posted opening time, and no one's answering their phones.

I’m a big fan of Le Du - Chef Ton’s original restaurant. Baan is the complete opposite. No fancy looking menu. No sciences just good old Thai home-cooked meal with high quality produce. The restaurant is tiny! Good food, but having done to Le Du a couple of times... I know they can do better. Worth a try.
