Great northern Thai food. Tried some new dishes and was thrilled by the taste. The mashed jackfruit sounded odd but was tremendous and the chicken coconut milk curry was wonderful. Other dishes paired well with dinner so much that we came back a second time even when only staying for a short trip to Bangkok this time. I highly recommend trying this restaurant but head in early to ensure a table, it’s only small but worth getting to. Finally have to say the lemon grass pandan water was excellent.

We stopped by for lunch at this restaurant and found that the food was quite nice, we ordered some pad Thai, mashed shrimp omelette, tom yum fried rice, and a northern curry noodle dish. They were all good, not mind blowing fantastic, but good. Their northern curry noodle dish felt very familiar, but they had an interesting noodle texture, worth a try. If you're in the area, worth it to drop by for food.

Great authentic Khao Soi in Bangkok! We stayed only a few days in north of Thailand and missed Khao Soi so much in Bangkok. For us the very best Thai dish! Here you get the great taste in a nice restaurant.

Great food! We came here because it was very highly rated and we were blown away by the taste of the food we went there twice during our visit. All the dishes we ordered were full of flavor and fragrant and just melt in our mouth with a very reasonable pricing. The restaurant is quite small so maybe make some reservations or head early if you wanna eat there during rush hours.

Delicious Thai food. The pad Thai is much more tasty and more importantly less oily than many others I have tried before, from street stalls one to other restaurants. I also like the mince pork omelette. It was fragrant and the meat was good and fresh. It was a pity I didn't have a big enough appetite to try out other dishes such as green curry. Will return again if I have the chance.

Very nice Restaurant that serves Northern Thai food. It’s located off the main street, not far away from the Rachathewi BTS station. (Less than 10 mins walk). The restaurant is cozy and decorated nicely with northern Thai accents. Very extensive menu but we picked dishes mainly from the recommended. White turmeric salad, pumpkin & banana blossom fry, and fried pork with lemongrass. Drinks were huge, came in a bowl:D It is also really nice that the beer is extra cold with frozen glasses! All dishes were nice with lots of flavour. It seems Khao soi is their specialty so will try next time.

Near ratchatehwi BTS this eatery is in an awfully quiet neighbourhood but upon entering, the air-conditioned spot is pretty busy during brunch hour. They got 2 levels for dining and wifi to stay connected. Great quality, served fast, served hot, quick yet great service! They have an electronic ordering system so you never miss an order. At a really cheap price to boot!!! Curry noodle is their signature dish you need to have it with a dash of lime juice, we also had crispy pork belly and basil pork rice. Pad Thai is alright and the chicken wings was very flavourful and freshly fried. All yummy! Taxes apply and you can only pay with cards with a minimum 500 bhat spend. They serve specialty drinks in bowls, cool!

Good place to try northern Thai cuisine - they have a special page on their menu with all the specialities from which you can choose from -> We had a spicy pork tomato soup which was really original but well balanced The place is clean and quiet + the prices are really fair (105 baht for the meal + drink) The only missing star would be for the service - you will feel like you are bothering them (barely look at you and don’t expect to hear their voice 🙃)

Amazing food and spice palette, reminds me of my time in chang rai — very authentic. Fried banana blossoms were the star of the show, crispy and flavourful. Sausage was very well seasoned and Khao soi was creamy while the chilli sauce brought me to tears

The best curry noodle (khao soi) I have ever eaten in Bangkok. Very closed to bts phayathai with a nice atmosphere to sit and talk to your friends. They sell various northern Thai cuisine and of course the most recommended is their curry noodle. Suggest to add all the condiments they provide to you, it makes it better!

Very good Northern musics🎺🎻🎷🎼 Beautiful decoration 🌸💐🌷🌹🌺 and place is convenience to travel by BTS Phayathai then take a few waking step. If you are Northern and when you missed your hometown you can come here. Food are not good as when you were home but it is okay.

Authentic northern Thai taste, mild and refreshing. Gaeng hang le was gingery, worth to give it a try. The portion of somtam Thai was HUGE and so much of veggies. Reasonable price and staff were polite☺. Nice dining experience.

Unfortunately disappointed. There was almost no sausage in my dish dedicated to sausage, and the pieces that I found were yesterday's sausage fried in a pan. the leaves were dried, maybe that's how it should be. my husband had 3 shrimp in the soup, given that there was nothing to eat besides the broth, it was very strange. At the same time, the dishes are not devoid of taste. given the cost of the dishes and our desire to eat extra at 7/11 or the nearest eatery, I can definitely say that the place is overrated. At the same time, guys were sitting next to us. they ordered traditional thai food, not northern food. their dishes looked very decent.

Solid place, with a nice menu. It just misses the mark on being great, the taste is just not up there with the best I have had for the respective dishes we got … pad Thai, and herb fried rice with crispy pork. (The pork was crispy and top notch though!)

I just had a bad day when I arrived at bangkok on 1st day of my trip, places that should be visit for lunch is unfortunately close. So I found Porwa, no idea what food they are selling, I just saw tomyum and yes thats it (the only thai food Im familiar with) Out of expectation, their foods (I ordered green curry & tom yum) are amazing, and untill the last day of my trip, I wanna be back again (sadly I cant) The food is comes slowly anw, it will be better if you order all at once.

Khao soi which originated from north thailand.. Nice 👍 something i have not try before. Generally the food taste good.. mushroom omelette is given with generous of mushrooms.. braised pork is so tender. Its kind of a small shop with limited seats though..

The curry noodles, fried rice and crisp roast pork are delicious. Green curry chicken is little too sweet for our palate.

Khao Soy is the best, but the one lady in charge has either bad day or character issue. The servic was terrible today. another dish came after we finished main meal.

Update. Bring cash. No credit. Food was very good. The quality and presentation was excellent. I will definitely be coming back. The menu could use a little upgrade, since it’s falling apart. But don’t let that deter you from the food. They don’t have all the typical Thai dishes you will find in other countries, but I was able to find the coconut soup and pork basil. I never had the spicy mushroom salad. But it was very good. I will be coming back and maybe try some other things I’m not familiar with. I’m sure it will be good after experiencing this.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of local northern Thai cuisine at an affordable price. Since we didn’t visit Chiang Mai this time, we decided to try their food here. Everything was good! Bit I deducted 1star because the Khao Soi seemed microwaved and not really hot.

It was my first time trying Nothern Thai cuisine and I already fell in love with the cuisine. This small restaurant is a great place to enjoy whenever you stay in the Phaya Thai area. The staff there was so welcoming and nice to us!!!! Wish I could come back soon!!!

Really great food, we were just looking for something near and easy and were surprised with delicious Thai food and a relaxed atmosphere. The place was not too busy and our food came quickly. The chicken wings, soup and green curry were fantastic (the roti could have been a bit less oily and more fluffy).

Khao SOI!!!! It’s amazing, as close to the North as you are going to find. You can get crispy pork or braised beef which is an absolute elevated game changer. I could eat this every day. The Sai Ua (Northern Sausage) is fragrant and spicy, it’s perfect. The starter platter with sour fermented sausage, more northern sausage and the most insane crispy pork belly with Nam Prik spicy green chilli sauce is heaven. Can’t say enough good things about this spot. It’s not busy or crowded but it should be for the quality they are throwing out. Eat here, you will not regret it!

Overrated but khao soi was good. All desserts were not available (eg mango sticky rice & fried banana) except the coconut syrup banana which wasn't bad but too sweet for my taste bud. Saw reviews that pad thai was good here but found it too sweet too and taste ordinary. Green curry chicken was too watery (not thick), fried krill and marinated pork were just okay.

Unheard of. We are vegetarians. We ordered a soup with gooseberries and got a green dish with MEAT. When we notified the waitress, she served us a soup with FISH. We then told her again that it is not the soup with gooseberries that we wanted, and asked for the bill, so she gave us the FISH soup again. On top of all that, she wanted to charge us for the MEAT dish from the beginning. We were not the only vegetarian diners who had their dishes mixed up that night. Terrible service and the waitress didn’t even realize her mistake. Don’t understand how this restaurant got so many good reviews.

Fantastic restaurant I highly recommend going here. Went here on the first night of our trip and went back for the last night to end the trip on a high. The khao soi was absolutely delicious I can’t recommend it highly enough. All the other food was great as were the drinks and the staff were lovely. They took good care with my friends nut allergy and remembered us when we came back which is always a lovely touch.

Nice northern Thai style food. Reasonably priced in a small and cosy atmosphere walkable from Phaya Thai MRT. Had the Khao Soy and spring rolls - all very nice.

This place is very clean and beautiful. The food also looks good and it is good. The service could be improved, they forgot our drinks and they were not good.two different juices but same taste. For that price 70 bath I would like a tasty juice. Overall a good place to eat, bit pricy but ok.

Had farewell dinner at Porwa and we ordered their specialty, Khao Soi. It was amazing, taste so good and perfect portion. We also ordered deep fried chicken which also nice. And we love their traditional drinks that used lemongrass as straw. Refreshing!

😐 The food and side dishes are alright. Kimchi was a bit too salty for my liking. Personally, I don’t think they offered that much variety of meat.
