Definitely deserves their Michelin Guide placement for 5+ years running. The stir-fried crab with yellow chilis and green beans looks a bit plain, but is absolutely exploding with flavor (and spice). The Thai tea was really good too. I regret not coming back here again during my trip to Bangkok!

Great local restaurant. The fluffy egg omelette, stir fried crab curry and the stir fried cowslip is very nice! Extra point goes to the fluffy egg omelette of course. 🍳

As locals from Thailand, we consistently visit this restaurant whenever we're in the area. We highly recommend it for its genuine Thai cuisine, good service (if there are not crowded), reasonable prices, and delightful flavors.

The Yellow curry is perfect. A little spicy but just right amount. Price also fair and serving very fast. Staff don’t speak English well, but the menu has pictures so you can just point what you want. The crab omelette is also very good!

So good we went 2 evenings in a row. Tom yum was something special. Still haven't managed to find a place that has a better one. Beware - it was spicy as hell but totally worth it. Another highlight was the crab in yellow curry. Other dishes were really good as well. Drinks were really refreshing and some are interesting (can't find those in many places). Definitelly recommend giving this place a go.

Not bad but not the best Thai food, it's a safe place to go in terms of no wait, cleanliness and price. The chinese kale savoury wraps was the most interesting dish we had and it felt quite special. The crab omelette, tom yum soup and chicken wings were nothing to shout about, average at best.

A thoroughly authentic Thai cuisine experience. Mostly Thai people were eating here. I ordered the yellow curry with prawns: very tasty, very spicy, nothing like I’ve ever tried before. The green curry with fish balls was great. I highly recommend the coconut sorbet afterwards if your mouth is still on fire from the spice 🌶️. Lunch time gets busy, so you might have to put your name on a list, but the wait time wasn’t too long for us.

Very busy locals type restaurant with table service. Our waitress forgot the appetizer and one drink, then disappeared until half way through the meal, but the food and drink eventually made its way to our table. Food is tasty enough, prices reasonable, though a bit high considering the surroundings. AC is on and doing God's work, which is pleasant. If you're ok with crowded places where virtually no one speaks English but the food is authentic and tasty, this place is worth trying.

Unassuming storefront serving absolutely delicious Thai food for an extremely fair price! I loved the green curry with cuttlefish balls. Well deserving of its Bib Gourmand status.

A clean and cozy restaurant to enjoy local Thai food. The big plus is its friendly service. It is already a popular spot not only to local but also for the tourists, I am pleasantly surprised to see smiling faces all the time. A restaurant that I would recommend for everyone.

Air conditioned tasty treat. Order the fluffy crab omelette and Thai green curry for delicious overload. Service crew is patient and nice. Will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu.

Krua Apsorn at Dinso is one of my best favourite restaurants. Their food is consistently good. I usually ordered the signature dishes and they were served quickly. The service is also good. I dined here whenever I am in Bangkok until I developed an acquaintance with the long- serving staff members. I am sure delighted to see them and dined here after 2.5 years. It is a joy to dine here again.

Local and authentic food, various vegetarian options! Prices are good. Atmosphere is very special since this restaurant has a history in Thailand. We had the fried tofu, green curry with mushrooms and fluffy omelette. All of them were vegetarian and tasted amazing!

Finally managed to try this and wasn't disappointed at all. The queue was well managed by the person in front of the shop and we were seated in 20 mins despite the huge crowd. Every dish has over exceeded our expectations except for the crab omelette. We're expecting more crab meat in it.

A very clean restaurant where you can enjoy your meal in an air conditioned environment. The dishes are more refined than the general Thai street food, but without service or ambiance getting too posh. I recommend the crab with yellow curry, the crab omelette was a bit dry to my taste. The reason why I can't give this 5 stars is it can get very crowded and loud due to not ideal acoustics. Overall, a restaurant you should surely visit when you're seeking Thai food brought to the next level with fresh products in a clean environment.

A "must to try" place if you ar visiting Bangkok. Green curry and yellow curry absolutely delicious. My favourite dish is the crab omelette. If you go there before they close... Ask.. And be careful because they let you in. But after they serve your food, they dropped the bill during dinner, ask to pay and let you understand you have to leave. So you might need to rush your dinner without enjoying the food. Amazing food whatsoever! Highly recommended!

Possibly the best place we ate at while in Bangkok. Venue was clean and comfortable. Food was delicious and came out really quickly. English menu available so very easy to order. Crab meat was fresh. Highly recommended

Excellent Southern Thai Food served here at affordable prices. I would recommend the stir fried Cowslip and Crab Omelette. The Green Curry with Fish ball is also good

Visited this place few years back, and the quality & stander of food still remains high. Definitely order their signature dishes - you won’t go wrong. The yellow curry crab is super good on white rice. The grilled prawns are 80% pre-peeled thus making it easy to consume. Super flavorful. Also don’t miss out on their tomyum soup. Huge prawns in there too. Coconut sorbet is a bliss and good way to end off the meal.

I’ve walked past the restaurants many times on my various trips to Bangkok and it’s always been on my list of places to try. Last time I was here I came and it was closed but this time it was open. The staff are straight to the point and the food comes out quickly. The place is clean and tidy and nicely air conditioned not too cold! The food I had the crab omelette I found the taste better than jai fai obviously not as much meat but at the price point I thought it was reasonable. The taste was very very good. Tom yum gung I always ask for my food when they ask spicy or not spicy as the same as how Thai people eat it and it his soup was gorgeous it came with 4 big prawns and was up there with the best I’ve tried. I eat the mushroom stir fry this was lovely and had a good variety of mushrooms and was extremely tasty. I also had the chicken wings these are very common all over Thailand they where very but nothing out of the ordinary. The strangest dish I tried that I have never seen before we the green curry fried rice with work this is an interesting play on fried rice with a lot of components found in a green curry I thought this was very very good. I polished the dinner off alone after and enjoyed every bite! Will definitely be back! I eat for two or thee people and the bill came to 699 absolute bargain!

Very delicious Thai food at affordable prices. It’s not super outstanding but the taste is honestly quite good already. Good dining spot for families. However it’s only for lunch because they close so early

This place was constantly busy so we checked it out for lunch. The crab fried rice was the star for us- really delicious. We got the sea bass and soup with fish- both good.

Decent food! Would highly recommend their crab omlette! They had a busy crowd that evening and forgot one of our dishes, we went ahead to cancel the dish instead. Their prawn dishes were quite mediocre, so you can give that a miss. Most of their popular stuff were gone when we went at night (around 7.30pm). Overall still had a great meal there!

Went in at around 2:30 on a Thursday and was seated right away. I ordered the green curry with fish balls, white rice, and a chrysanthemum juice/tea all for 200 baht. The curry was delicious and def had a kick. I had to take my time eating it. The food came out quickly. It was a very hot day so I appreciate that they had the AC blasting. Would def recommend!

Unfortunately our experience wasn’t the best! Our hopes were high seeing the reviews and achievements of this place and you can see that in our pictures. Papaya salad, mango fish salad was amazing!!! But spicy herb red curry vegetarian, yellow curry shrimp and lotus stem, and minced pork with basil was okayish! Also the portion size is good! And affordable price.

Nice restaurant with homestyle food. Nice portion size. Fresh ingredients. Price is reasonable. I came at 11:00 and there was no wait time but I figure it will get more crowded during lunch time. The place has a history with the royal family. It’s next to a 7-11, very convenient location.

Food was all tasty especially the omelette filled with lots of delicious crab meat and creamy Tom yum soup, pork was alright but garlic squid was a no for me too rubbery. Will come back again for the omelette

I ordered Makkasan curry, which is popular in Thailand. I was looking down on Makkasan curry. This restaurant's Makkasan curry is as delicious as the best Indian mutton curry I've had in my life. I want you to go to this store when you come to Bangkok. delicious.

Was out walking and was getting hungry so I stopped at this placed that had many Michelin Guide stickers on the window. So I thought ok, that is promising. Many people inside, that is usually a good sign. Ordered two dished, no rice and some lemonade. The first dish I forgot the name was boring and the pork meat was not tender, but chewy. The second dish Moo Manao, pork in lime sauce can be a really treat, but it also failed, also not tender and the lime sauce was very simple. I wonder where they have gotten the stickers from? I ordered the Moo Manao myself and asked them to recommend me the other dish. The staff there was very nice and they was very busy which is nice too see. The restaurant was plain and simple, just what I like.

A well rated spot that you must try. This one came recommended from our hostel and for good reason. The place was packed with awards all over the walls but food came quickly and lived up to the hype. Most meals between 80-150 baht and everything we tried was delicious. The crab omelette was great and we also got the yellow chilli stir fry with mushrooms. Definitely stop in here

First time trying. Will definitely be back to try more of their dishes. personal favourite is the crab curry, Tom yum and pork mussaman curry. Omelette is good but not much crab meat (however the price is reasonable).

Usually there is a line of people waiting for table here. And for a reason - food is delicious. One of signature dishes is crab meat omelette - perfectly fluffy. I also got yellow curry - sour and spicy, with meaty shrimps and crispy lotus stems.

Chanced upon this place just a few days before my trip to Bangkok. Apparently this is a popular dinning spot of the locals. There is 2 outlet, one in Samsen and another one in Dinso which i went to since it was more convenient. Reached the place slightly before lunch time and most of the tables were occupied. Since I came alone, decided to order their from Set Menu. I had the stirfried tasty pork with bird's eye chili, eggplant, young coconut shoot with and additional fluffy crab Omelette. Food took a while to be ready. The gravy was a little spicy but goes really well with rice, pork was tender. Had higher expectation for the Omelette but it didnt lived up to my expectation. Overall, seems like a really popular place. Through out my dining, the takeaway was non-stop. would probably come back again in the future to try their other dishes.

Been going for years and it remains one of my favorite restaurants in Bangkok. Beware of poor copies with small spelling differences in their names. Tom yum Kung and the crab are excellent. Prices "per person" might seem high but we always over order to share and to take home.

This place deserves 10 stars. It is a locally-frequented restaurant with outstanding, affordable food. We ended up coming for dinner almost every night. The Tom Yum and crab omelette were out of this world. Heads-up: ask for non-spicy dishes if you’re sensitive to spices. Even if you think you’re good with it, think twice in Thailand!

  • 3/5 Subhojit S. 1 year ago on Google
Crab omelette was filled with egg and very little crab. The red curry was spicy but fresh. The pork green curry was nice and lots of veggies in it too. Liked the crab fried rice very much. Overall an ok meal. Not as wow as we were expecting.

It's not easy to be mentioned in the Michelin Bib Gourmand guide 5 years in a row; you have to consistently deliver good food and also have experience. This restaurant keeps its promise, as I discovered during my trip to Bangkok. I got the Prawn Tom Yum, the Fluffy Crab Omelette, and the Black Bean Dessert. The sourness is strong, but the prawn broth can be tasted; if I wasn't tasting High-end Dining Cruise Tom Yum the night before, this might be the best Tom Yum I've ever tasted. The Fluffy Crab Omelette is also delicious; the umami flavor of the egg is still present, and it is complemented by some Crab Meat. Although not as generous as the famous Michelin-starred Crab Omelette, if you are too lazy to queue there, you can try one here. They run out of black bean soup, so they give me less than one portion as a freebie. Nonetheless, it's a good dessert, not too sweet but creamy, and a good complement to oily and sour foods.

It really is a wonderful place to dine. Family atmosphere, great delicious fresh food, wide selection of dishes, polite and nice service. If you are around I highly recommend to visit Krua Apsorn!

  • 2/5 Aaron S. 2 years ago on Google
We went here based on online recommendation from David Thompson. I’m pretty astounded at the rave reviews. The food wasn’t terrible but was totally ordinary, even more so in a city like Bangkok. You could happily pick any random street food seller and chances are you’d do better.

  • 2/5 Simone C. 2 years ago on Google
The food in this place is amazing! My reason to give two stars is because of the appalling service, they probably never heard of the word as they managed to alienate one person who was sitting with us and stormed off, even after seeing this they didn’t even try to ask what was wrong, if you want a real restaurant experience find another place and order take away from this one to avoid disappointment, food is worth it! Atmosphere no!
