This restaurant truly impressed me with one of the most delicious meals I've ever had. It stands out among fine dining establishments with its beautiful location, attentive service, and exceptionally tasty dishes. The Beef fillet, kingklip, and cookie crumble dessert were all next-level delicious. A memorable dining experience that exceeded expectations.

Attentive service, lovely food, excellent wine - an idyllic experience is on your doorstep Paarl seems like it might be a great trek. However we were pleasantly surprised to be rewarded with an idyllic escape after a 40 minute journey out of Cape Town. Service was superlative and the restaurant is a run attentively and unobtrusively. The menu was delightful with foraged items being used excellently, beautifully and tastily in a garden setting with a wonderful landscape to crown it all. Portions were generous and the wine is incredible.

Situated on a beautiful wine estate with fantastic mountain views. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were welcomed by every staff member. We did not have a reservation, however, they were willing to accommodate us even though they were expecting a big crowd. To our surprise, we received complimentary sour dough bread with a herb aioli and honey butter, as well as delicious pumpkin fritters and freshly squeezed plum juice. For the starter, we had the oven roasted celeriac, which was a perfect combination of sweet and savoury - the cheese flavour was just perfect. For mains we had the pan roasted Black Bream, which was cooked to perfection with tender grilled squid. Dessert was the aromatic poached guava - a wonderfully refreshing end to our fine dining lunch experience. I will recommend this place if you are looking for a fine dining restaurant.

Amazing venue with great seasonal food. Service was outstanding with food to match. The atmosphere was relaxed and the kids were allowed to play soccer on the lawn and splash in the fountain (in fact they even provided the towels and soccer ball!). High chairs available for smaller children.

Blessing's service and caring personality made it even more worth it and special. The food were absolutely amazing, with a French flair, we loved the freshness and amazing combinations that Chef Dale has created. They were even accommodating to my gluten intolerance. All the staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. I am in the Hospitality industry myself and it's just amazing to see such an amazing team - one can immediately see and notice if staff is working as a team and are happy. My wife and I had planned to enjoyed a six course Faber menu with Avondale wine pairing. The food and service were excellent but suddenly the site manager and a number of sales people come and turn the whole experience into an office. They ruined the whole atmosphere by discussing prices and deliveries around Avondale Wine. The visit was not a particularly pleasant experience. If the entire patio is empty of guests, an idea might be not to place business groups at the table next to the only other guests.

It is always a pleasure to go to great restaurants and taste such wonderfully curated ingredients. This is especially so at Faber on the Avondale estate. Here the craft is taken to the next level, with creative cuisine and a hearty taste. Unlike conventional cooking, the chef's thinking, personality and care with putting together a unique flavour profile of rich, nutty, earthy and umami tones really comes through. The wine (Jonty's ducks), along with each farm-to-table component on the plate, speaks to sustainability and preservation of the earth - something I deeply care about as a guest of fine-dining cuisine. This restaurant is more traditionally styled than being quirky or contemporary, which I adore. The classical feel of the restaurant is peaceful located in one of the most beautiful settings of nature in the Western Cape - Paarl.

Highly recommended by friends who love good food we went for lunch. Very happy to confirm that every dish was full of flavour. We opted for the full 6 courses menu since it included lots of very interesting dishes. Plating was beautiful, service very friendly, and every bite was delicious. Compared to similar restaurants with the same high standards, the price was on the high range.

The scenery is out of this world. The service is amazing and the food is really good. We had the tasting menu for lunch and enjoyed every dish. Also it is nice to know that the ingredients are their own organic produce or chosen carefully from the other local producers.

WOW! I cannot believe it took me so long to visit Faber as we stay just around the corner! Its absolutely a MUST visit! Reasonable price for a fine dining restaurant and the food, service and views are amazing! Aside from all this they include so many special extras in your dining experience, once seated they bring you a glass of homemade lemonade along with a really amazing pampoenkoekie and fresh bread with butter and a whipped feta dip! With the bill they include a chocolate/truffle/bon bon treat which is marzipan dipped in chocolate, I loved this. I only tried the beef cheek tortellini and the duck starter but I am still dreaming about that beef cheek tortellini I will go back every week just for that but the duck was also really good and perfectly cooked, I wasnt to crazy about the dessert( I tried the orange and toasted sponge based on the waiters recommendation) but I'm not really a sweet person I did love the yoghurt shards that are served with it and could probably polish a whole plate of just that! Service is really excellent and very fast, wine is a bit expensive and to be honest avondale wines isnt really my favorite although their sparkling wine isnt bad. I cannot wait to go back and do a proper set menu although I might actually go back next week and just order 2 portions of the tortellini 😂 Please visit and support them you wont regret it!

One of the best meals i’ve ever had. The service and the overall atmosphere was that of the highest standard. We joined for the 3 - Course Christmas lunch and wow! that was really a gift. The Faber staff were trained exceptionally well and the overall pairing and food combination was just the perfect balance. Another nice thing that we saw was after service how hard the chefs in the kitchen work to get the area clean and sanitized. Thank you once again for the amazing hospitality and most importantly thank you for working on such a holy day to give us a great meal. Faber at Avondale you are the best.

Disappointing evening despite beautiful location. Steaks were too tough, my mother in law couldn't even finish hers. Our complaint was ignored. Rest of the food was good. What we don't appreciate is the fact that they counted 2 small children as full guests to automatically add a 12.5% tip. Won't go back in a long time.

Our table for two was seated outside on the veranda overlooking the farm and valley - absolute breath-taking setting. Our lunch dishes were a visual masterpiece and were even more exquisite on the palate with the paired Avondale Wine. The entire team is upbeat and the positive vibe in the restaurant is contagious. The restaurant offers a unique holistic experience and I highly recommend to both local folk and international travellers.

Exceptional lunch experience at Faber Restaurant at Avondale on Sunday. We had slowly braised pork belly and asparagus for starters, with rack of lamb for mains. Everything prepared to perfection and service to match. The menu is well structured with a good range but not too long. They also offer a 6 course tasting menu. The setting is beautiful and we selected the outside setting in the lovely garden.

From using the web site to book, the greeting at the gate and the reception at the restaurant,everyrhing was exceptional. The food was superb and the service fantastic. I would highly recommend it and we will be going there again
