Wow, what a place. Authentic, beautiful and inspiring setting and Kim, Anton and family are incredible hosts. Local wine, horses, swimming pool and swimming hole, refreshing home brew and plenty of sunshine. The restored Manor house is stunning. The dinner service each evening is personable and delicious and highly recommended. Special shout out to Joey, Tiny, Karl and Josef, the resident dogs. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

The rooms and gardens are lovely but the rooms could use a few more touches like a dustbin and shower caddy. My biggest concern was the proximity of the dogs to the food. Great farm style vibe with cats and dogs roaming around, but not so great if you are allergic or prefer your croissants un-sniffed by a great dane.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in the winelands. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the hosts (Kim and her husband) took amazing care of you. From breakfast to dinner, making amazing recommendations in the area, and also making reservations at wineyards and restaurants. They have a family of dogs who make the stay even better. They will take you for long walks in the fields, near the dam or River and will herd the horses for you too, which is an incredible experience. The rooms are brand new, yet rustic. Kim has done an amazing job returning this property to the way it is supposed to be. Needless to say, we will be celebrating our honeymoon 2.0 here as soon as we have enough time. We stayed here for 4 days and it wasn't nearly enough

Visit one of the most historic guest houses in the Boland. It's name is reminiscent of it's location and your neck gets stiff very soon trying to scale the top of mountains all the time. The staff are very helpfully and friendly and the atmosphere very warm. Go for a dip in the swimming pool or even better, go for a swim with the fish in their organic fresh water dam. End off the day with one of their cheese platters and a glass of red wine from the neighbours cellar.
