Bezoek aan Calva was onderdeel van onze culinaire maand (ieder jaar in februari).Vorig jaar waren ze de nummer 1 van de restaurants waar we hebben gegeten en dit jaar wederom! De gerechten waren verrassend, creatief en vooral erg lekker! Pas op als je het restaurant op Google Maps opzoekt want dan krijg je een foto van de achterkant (leveranciersingang) te zien. De voorkant ziet er een stuk vriendelijker uit!

The best experience a restaurant can offer, everything from delicious and spectacular food, to great service. Oysters and cheese are interesting to start with and there are lots of non alcoholic options for drinks. The chef comes to greet you and share some insights on food, while the courses are very well engineered. They pay attention to allergies. The price is as expected for the good time and delicious food.

We had a really good night, the food was really tasty and we'll presented, and the service was really good 👍!

De locatie is wat lastig te vinden, maar blijkt uiteindelijk een vorstelijke entree. Er is veel ruimte rondom de tafeltjes en de sfeer hebben we niet alleen laten afhangen van het establishment, maar ook van het gezelschap. Zeker gesteund door de jeugdige, gevatte en dienstbare medewerkers van Calva. Voor het uiteindelijke bedrag dat we moesten aftikken konden we vele pizzas eten, maar wel wat eentonig om 4 uur "ausserordentlich" te dineren van één pizza. Laat dat maar aan de koks van Calva over! TOP!

10/10 for the ambience and the staff, they are just amazing!! The food is exceptionally creative and their play with the ingredients is super. For the main course I would have preferred if I was asked my preference between a plant based protein or egg. Super place to celebrate an occasion!!

Excellent food and wines (and beer). Good service. Staff seems to be happy and adopt to the guests. And the chef also comes by.

I have found my calling here in the Netherlands. After a long time. I have found the restaurant that finally meets my expectations. This stunning establishment has zero tolerence for shoddy hospitality as they meet your needs and are so professional. The food is fantastic and the chef presents you the food themselves. The drink selection was great. We were catered for vegetarian food with no Alcohol. What more can I say? Give this place a Michelin Star now! Updated 2023. I just went again. Fantastic as always. Updated 2024. Yesterday at Calva, the oyster I had was an exquisite experience. The combination of flavors was nothing short of stunning, with a distinct citrusy burst that complemented the fresh, briny essence of the oyster. Each bite was a perfect harmony of the ocean's natural salinity and the zesty, invigorating notes of citrus, creating a memorable and refined culinary delight.

great place with excellent delicious food and friendly and elegant service. on st. Valentine's day they had only surprise menu from the chef and it was taste party! when we left we also got handshake from chef and little sweet souvenir 😀 awesome.

What a great place! Delicious food: beautiful dishes and delicious wines. Nice entourage in a neat and attractive setting. Chef comes to the table at various times and explains it nicely. We start with the beet. You always have to love it or not. Then followed the Grilled Bream with a matching Soave, which was really delicious. The highlight of the evening was the extra option: Signature Shellfish Bisque (pictured), which was very tasty. I'll come back for that one more time. Magic dish. Then followed the chicken oyster (photo) very special and delicious, never eaten before. The main course was a combination of lamb with green vegetables prepared in different ways, super tasty. The accompanying Syrah wine was also one of the highlights of the evening. Unfortunately we had to leave at 10 pm, otherwise we would have stayed a long time. We'll be back for sure.

Amazing food. Every course takes your taste buds on a journey. The presentation of the food was immaculate and everyone made us feel so welcomed.

from start to finish a wonderful experience, every dish we had was a suprise, full and rich with flavor and textures. a party in my mouth! Service was immaculate, very personal, and atmosphere is very cozy, we enjoyed the dinner very much and we will definitely be back for more suprises!

Absoluut geweldig! Als je echt een avond culinair wilt genieten, dan is Calva een absolute aanrader. Een geweldige chef en bijna net zo gepassioneerde bediening. Een smaak beleving waar je nog lang van zult nagenieten. Prima prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

Wat een geweldige verzorgde avond, het eten echt zo uitmuntend. Voor Tom en zijn medewerkers mijn complimenten voor dit team👌

Voor onze verjaardagen en trouwdag komen we al jaren bij Calva. Bijzonder lekker en verfijnd en met heel veel zorg gemaakt en geserveerd. Tom, het was ook nu weer een feestje op jullie mooie nieuwe locatie! Bedankt. Tijd voor een ster!

This is the first or second time I actually give reviews. I was a regular customer to this restaurant. The staffs are very warm and professional. But I have to admit that, each time, we felt being treated differently by the Chef. Every time. We don’t have any improper behaviour. I always try to stand up with his attitude, try to ignore the bad feeling, try to avoid to make everyone awkward. But obviously this does not work. I am not paying to beg the Chef for dinner, and not deserve to be treated with cold face all the time. He may do not like us, but we are the customers, paying for dinner, and we behave nicely. The Chef should keep his personal likes and dislikes to himself. I am the last person who would like admit but it is so real.// Since lots PM, so I answer here: we went to this place just because it is near (when we do not know what to eat).We always have fine dinning, around this near area, not so many choices. But if you would like to drive a little bit, I would say not necessary to take the risk to get offended.
