Ancient temple, need to maintain properly. Surrounding of the temple is looking bad. Until you reach the temple, you can't see any idea about one big temple in this location.

Near by 1000 year old Shiva temple, built by Chola King Kulothanga 1, situated between four mountain. Nice temple with big trees surrounded. Separate sannidhi for Lord Ayyappa and Adi Shankaracharya.

An ancient small but very old temple right in the heart of chennai, that too opposite to the chennai airport. Temple without rajagopuram, but has kodimaram. Temple faces east. Lord faces east but ambal faces south. Temple has a temple pond/tank, but it is slightly away from the temple, and not that well maintained also. Due to an invasion, the ambal idol was damaged slightly, hence they wanted to replace the idol, but the lord came and told the priest that the damaged idol should be placed next to him in the sanctum sanctorum. thus this temple has two ambal idols one outside the sanctum sanctorum and one inside the sanctum sanctorum. Both the ambals face south. Lord has many names but fondly called Thirusulanathar, and ambal is called Thirupurasundari amman.

Thirisulanathar Thirukoil at Thirisulam is very near and in the opposite side of Chennai Airport. More than 1000 years temple built at the middle of four mountains by 2nd Kulothunga Chola King. Granite temple with Gajaprishta Vimaanam. The consort is Thiripurasundari. During Pallava period one of their army was stationed here since the place is like protective hide out sorrounded by mountains and not visible to outside es and passerby people.

Located in the heart of Tirusulam, this is an incredibly old temple with Shiva as the main deity. It is located at a ten minute walking distance from Tirusulam railway station. Alternatively this place may also be reached through bike or cars. Highly peaceful temple with great vibes.

Ancient temple and located in middle of mountains. Very calm place to be. But now a days the temple is not been maintained well and it's definitely not a good sign. It's situated about a KM from GST road and Thirusulam railway station. Shivaratri is very special and celebrated grandly

We went twice but we were not able to see the deity. The temple was closed the first time we went there. Recently it is under renovation so we could not see lord Shiva. Very ancient temple but poorly maintained. Access roads via airport is better compared to zamin pallavaram which goes thru rock quarry is very bad for driving.
