After reading a few reviews, we decided to have our lunch here on our way to Pondicherry. We ordered Chicken Biryani and Nattu kozhi fry. Biryani was unique (was trying the Chennai style biryani for the first time) but really tasty. Biryani quantity is enough for 2 average eaters. Nattu Kozhi was spicy but flavourful. Bread Halwa was complimentary but it was delicious and a must try (take some home with you). We also tried the Elaneer Payasam and Paneer Goli Soda both were nice. Overall had a great experience and special mention to the uncle wearing white shirt and pant who warmly welcomed us to the restaurant.

Totally Dissatisfied with the mutton Biryani purchased on December 25, 2022 @ main outlet in GST road, Pallavaram. I purchased Bucket Biryani for 12 people. The food was overcooked and had the smell of smoke throughout. It spoiled the festive mood. It was a total disappointment in front of the relatives.

The quantity of briyani is more than I expected. And the taste is kinda similar to other ordinary Briyani Stall.I have tried Erral Thokku (Side dish) and it's so good!

Only quantity was so high but the quality of food too worst. Two years before I went along with my friends so delicious it was but today extreme opposite to that taste was so bad even texture of biriyani very worst. Don't waste your money.

One of the best Biriyani in the city. Taste: incredible Quantity: sufficient and little more for a single person. Quality: u can see lots of mutton pieces in the Biriyani. Price: bit costlier. Yet worth. Bread halwa is must try. Chicken pakoda was also soft and yummy. Place was crowded most of the time.

The last time I had their biryani was a few years ago and it was delicious. The biryani that we had today was very average tasting with a lot of mutton pieces in it. The handwash area in the 2nd floor was stinking and pretty dirty. Hygiene should be given some importance as well. The recommended mutton nalli was bad. Boiled pieces of mutton that was put in a gravy.

I understand this restaurant having the hipe! Truly great biryani I had in Chennai. If you are big fan Chennai Biryani, this is place to eat

Why I like Mutton biryani here 1. Mutton is well cooked until it is tender and flavorful 2. Small mutton pieces but more quantity , I can enjoy the pieces with every hand of biryani rice till end 3. Go well with the rhytha, thokku and a plain boiled egg Note : Highly recommended to have only mutton biriyani and too when you're super hungry . In-house is best to have 🔥

This is my most favorite of all Yaa Mohaideen restaurants. The quantity and quality of the biriyani is good. The mutton pieces are cooked well. They also provide Bread Halwa, Raita and Brinjal Kosthu. I have ordered pepper chicken also and the quantity and tast was satisfying as well.

Went for a lunch had a very nice mutton biryani and chicken Biryani. The taste was so good.✨🫶 Cons: If you went like 1 pm to 3 pm especially in weekends you may face heavy wait time. The places causes so that AC is not adequate enough to make the place cool. But a must try place.❤️

The taste was too good. Quantity was also high. Mutton and chicken biryani was delicious. The ambiance was not up to the mark. There was a AC and non AC seating. As per my vision, always prefer AC. Since we don't have proper supplier in non AC the delivery of food is getting late and also the seats was not so much comfortable. But the AC seating was good. We can have a private space in AC seating. Parking facilities are also available. There was a huge parking area available next to the restaurant. On weekends there was a huge crowd. So definitely plan your lunch if you taking a dining. Please come early for the lunch during weekends

Bread halwa vera level. Signature Muslim style briyanis (both mutton and chicken) with much satisfying taste and quantity. Cheaper compared to the other briyani chains in Chennai. Not many varieties on the menu. The place seems to be always crowded. A large parking area is available nearby.

Traditional Tamil Biryani. Not spicey. Mutton was Soft , juicy & coocked well.

Definitely a good Briyani compared to a million other options in Chennai. Mutton briyani was served on plates, not in a hundi, with ample meat pieces, and the meat was incredibly tender. Portions were satisfying, and service was quick. Limited menu featuring briyanis and a few chicken sides. Surprisingly, no menu card and you don't know the prices before ordering. On the downside, the chicken lollypop was a bit oily and ordinary. The dining area on the 1st floor could use improvement – dark walls, a maintenance ladder, and some broken chairs affected the overall standards.

Had chicken biryani and grilled chicken. CB coss 210 rs with only one piece of chicken which is not acceptable.. taste also not up to the old Yaa moideen's mark. Grilled chicken tasted good but was a little pricey (1/2 - 250rs) Service - no extra onions provided, bread halwa not served and grilled chicken served little late. (I would recommend SS hyd biriyani any day over this..)

This place servers at 27/10/23 8.15pm staff are very rude not respecting customer, I asked for table they asked me to sit in other table which is not comfortable even though all table are unreserved and still forcing customer to sit in there saying place , I said I'm also customer paying money to eat for my body , you are dictate me to sit in which play , this idiot only give importance to food reviewer who was there that time I saw some idiots with GoPro 2people , I saw , I said I'm leaving here your not respecting customer. Place has no freedom and respect for customer money and fame motivated person i will not last for long ,soon you all people will loose .

One of the best mutton briyanis in the city - for rs 300 every bite is just filled with yumminous with the pieces of mutton that melts in the mouth

Ordered bucket briyani.. how this peoples are giving hot briyani in plastic bucket without silver foil paper.. no safe for health..

Visited this place on 7/7/2023 BEST FOR MUTTON BRIYANI LOVERS! Known for its name, Yaa Mohaideen was very popular among chennai for biryani. It was my first time visiting and I was super happy. Biryani was made of basmati and tasted really rich, The pieces were adequate and the meat was really tender and juicy. The complimentary bread halwa they provided was top notch and it was served multiple times on request without any hesitation. Usually big restaurants used to charge for the water bottle they serve, but here it was complimentary too. We ordered 1 Mutton Biryani ₹310 and 1 Chicken 65 ₹150 for 2 People, which was really adequate. The overall service was really good and welcoming. Ambience is average but the taste, quality and service really justified everything else. MOST RECOMMENDED 👏

We tried biriyani, content is too good. They provide more than enough for a person. Taste is okay. Parking space is little less but available. And cost is seems to be high.

The best biryani ( mutton especially) had so far. Never miss this spot once in Chennai. Bucket biryani option they do have. Do reach by 12 if on holidays or weekends as the crowd would be enormous.

Loved the place and tasty food at good quantity..the mutton biryani was really good and mutton curry was really tasty with juicy pieces.Also liked the mutton paava.The food is at reasonable cost for the amount.Pne of the must visit places.Another highlight is the bread pudding which I really liked.
