What a beautiful place to visit! Let's go start to finish... The parking lot... well... lack of parking lot... is a small area to pull in for valet parking only. If you plan to self park you will need to look elsewhere. Valet was only $8 and they were very quick with getting our car afterwards also. When you enter the building there is a huge wall of wine bottles that would make for an amazing picture backdrop. The Maître D was extremely friendly and very quick to assist us. She even wished us a happy anniversary based on the reservation notes. We opted to eat dinner at the bartop which featured a beautifully backlit shell countertop (see pictures). Our bartender, Jason, was top quality. He was able to tell us about all of the specials without hesitation and offered his opinions and insight on the food and drinks which did not disappoint. He always had a full bar but was still personable and attentive to everyone. We did have a few food items that are not pictured which include the YG's Alsation "Pizza", Crispy Kurobuta Pork Belly Lollipops, and the Seasonal Local Heirloom Tomatoes (which was my favorite). They were all wonderful and I could have easily made a meal from just these. Based on Jason's suggestion we did get the Ribeye (pictured) on special as well as the Chili Lime Rubbed Mahi Mahi (pictured) and both were delicious. The final plate was the Warm Vanilla Beignets which was easily the BEST dessert I've had in my life. The beignets arrive warm with cold ice cream, vanilla creme, and a rich vanilla sauce with both chocolate and strawberry dipping sauces. I STRONGLY recommend you save room for dessert and treat yourself to this dish.

We’ve driven by this restaurant many times, and finally decided to make a reservation. What a fantastic experience! Their outdoor dining area was spectacular, and warm with heat lamps and a fireplace. The view was amazing. We enjoyed their Caesar salad, shrimp and scallops, and wild game of the night. Their shrimp and scallops entree is definitely small, so plan on ordering a starter/dessert if you’re hungry. Everything was so good, we couldn’t resist sharing a dessert of the bread pudding. I do wish we’d tried the chocolate dessert instead, as it wasn’t my favorite. Our server was excellent and so nice, making us want to stay longer.

I had such a spectacular dinner here. JC was super accommodating, friendly and made you feel very welcomed. We were sat with the most beautiful view, the service was hands down top notch, food, where to even begin! We ordered the petite tower, Caesar salad with EXTRA anchovies (and they did not disappoint with their servings), steak, king crab… and dare I say, truffle mashed potatoes! My mouth is watering as I am doing this review which only goes to show, their food is amazing. I highly recommend! I was brought here to celebrate my birthday and I wouldn’t wish to have dined elsewhere. Thank you The Winery and staff for a wonderful and memorable dining experience. 💙🥳

I usually enjoy the Winery because one of my favorite guitarists plays there on a regular basis. However, my latest experience was incredibly unpleasant due to the host/manager on duty on Friday, February 25th, 2022. I entered, asked for a high-top table near where Jay, the guitarist, was playing. They were able to accommodate me but said they had to first "check me in." When I asked them what that means, they required me to provide some personal information in order to be seated. I have never been asked this of any restaurant on the planet. So I thought it was unnecessary and did not provide it. Right after I refused, the manager walked up to me in a threatening manner, accused me of being hostile, and threatened to kick me out. I had been at the Winery previously and have many friends who go there. I stated this to the manager, who said only that I was one person that night and so that losing my business was irrelevant to him. I've never been treated this rudely in any restaurant, including the Winery. I sat down and enjoyed the evening, though it was badly tainted by the experience with this manager before I even sat down. I sincerely hope that he is asked to tone down his power-hungry attitude lest he cause the loss of other loyal customers.

Our server had a great personality but not attentive, my wife ordered a coffee but it came out cold, we ordered the YG pizza (appetizer) and it also was cold though it tasted fantastic. My wife had the short ribs and it was absolutely fantastic, I had the 8oz fillet medium well and it was so so, seasoning was mediocre. Probably the worst part is it was our Anniversary and they knew it was our Anniversary but there was no acknowledgment after we sat down or the rest of stay. $35 corkage fee, better to order a bottle while your there. The ambiance was amazing for sure which is the best part. A few family members suggested we go to this place so I'm sure everyone's experience will be different but for my wife & I definitely a one time deal.

My cutest cousins took me here for my birthday and I loved it. We sat by the water and had a very lovely meal. Brussels sprouts 👌 Steak 👌 🍟 🔥🔥🔥 Calamari and short rib were ok. Not bad but not going to write home about it. Very date night spot.

For Thanksgiving, food was very good. Turkey portion very good. Shrimp dish was small and not worth money and not told that bread was $6 - that was annoying as it was mediocre bread and wait staff should have told us. It affected their tip. As with most Thanksgiving dinners at good restaurants- quite over priced but food all tasted good. Bit noisy.

I celebrated my birthday there. The food, wine, and overall service were incredible. I love the vibe and the view of the ocean.

Awesome atmosphere and service. I'm vegan, and our server was able to talk with the chef to whip me up one of the best veggie pasta dishes ever. Great cocktails, and the wine selection is pretty impressive. There was a band there with great music. I'd definitely return here. Friendly and warm environment.

We had Mother’s Day brunch today and was blown away by the quality of service and the scrumptious entree. The drinks made the day!

Such a great place! I attended a birthday celebration upstairs in a private location. We had our own weight staff, and the food was fantastic. The ambience was wonderful. I would highly recommend this place great wine selection to.!!

Our server, Brian was awesome and the sommelier as well. Their recommendations are on par. However, the beignets are very different from the norm.

The view of the harbor was beautiful. Christina gave great service. The food was fantastic. My wife had the lobster special and I had steak and mashed potatoes. We shared a salad and and order of bread and butter. He both had plenty of food left for lunch the next day.

There is so much much going for this restaurant, from the views to the ambiance but what impressed us most on this Mother’s Day was the GM Richard, our server Arielle (which just so happens to be my daughter’s name) and the entire staff. We laughed, we dined and we shared. It was an excellent time had by all. Thank you for making this a very enjoyable Mother’s Day. (will try your La Jolla location next) YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! 🥂🧡

First time dining at this restaurant for my friend's birthday. Loved the view and the ambiance. We did have noisy and probably drunk customers behind us - that part was distracting lol... I also was a fan of the service. Our waiter was great as well as all of the staff. We stayed until closing time! We had the lobster risotto (amazing by the way!), oysters, Chilean sea bass and lamb. There was plentiful amount of lobster in the risotto dish. Very filling and highly recommend. We also got truffle mashed potatoes and asparagus for sides. These were decent but I wasn't blown away... We had a mixture of desserts but the cheesecake was my personal favorite! Tiramisu was also good. The food was super flavorful! overall two thumbs up! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Not even a 4 star until they serve a perfect cooked fish! Great views, outstanding service, but the food is not a five star. House salad and heirloom salad was great, so was the pork belly appetizer and bread. We ordered special ribeye steak and three special Chilean sea bass dishes with potatoes and veggies (@$57 each). Steak was okay, but all 3 sea basses were dry… one was very dry and they offered a new one. After waiting for a new one, it was better, but not quite as it should have been. 👎it was very disappointing. 😳 the chefs need to practice on how to cook fish, especially Chilean sea bass.

Came here for a company dinner. Had the dinner salad, shortrib, and chocolate tarte dessert. Everything was exceptional. Service was great. We sat outside and the view was awesome. Would definitely come back.

I was on a business trip in this area of Orange County and had dinner with some colleagues last night. The place is a bit outdated, but service was very good. The food portion was generous and the appetizers (pork belly lollipops and octopus) we tasty and well presented. However some of the steaks we ordered came a bit over cooked. In my case, I ordered the Bison steak special (depicted) and it was alright, nothing too spectacular. The risotto and bean beans that came with it were tasteful nonetheless. I liked it but might look for other options if I'm back.

This place is so romantic! We were seated in a private patio area that overlooked the waterfront. The food was amazing and the staff was so friendly. This visit was for a friend’s birthday party but I definitely want to come back and try the other menu items!

I was here on Fri night with live music playing so it was very busy and noisy. The music was wonderful but was barely audible above the crowd’s noisy chatter. I can imagine the place to be much more enjoyable and romantic on a quieter night. The food is fabulous and you can order wine flights if you like to pair specific wines to each course.

Very nice. Food was fantastic. I had the bison and they were great about my dairy allergy. Our server, Christina, was wonderful. Perfectly attentive. Definitely go there if you have a chance.
