Been going here for years .. quality and service has gone down. Yesterday I got burned pupusas. Will not be going back because Manager or owner or whoever is running things has no idea how to deal with customers.

Great tasting plates with reasonable prices. Clean family style restaurant with friendly staff. Soccer is always on the screens if you're a fan. Best pupusas in town!

I ask for 3 pupusas and then realized they were fluffly and massive. I had to take 1.5 home to eat later. They were super soft and filled with cheese. I ask for a revuelta, cheese and loroco and cheese and spinach. But they have beans and shrimp amoungst other combinations. Definetly a 5 star experience. I will be back.

Been coming here for a while. The food is always good. The only thing they need to improve on is the cleanliness of the place. This last time there was especially disappointing. The windowsills were covered with bugs. Dead and alive. We were sitting against the wall and there was mosquitoes flying around. Cleanliness=happy customers

Authentic, delicious, mouth watering, gives me flashbacks to El Salvador... I have moved away from Cali but each time I'm visiting, this place is a requirement. Clean, friendly, prompt service. 👌

This place is sooo good! My daughter had the sopa de frijol and they give you a hefty amount of meat in it! She loves this soup a nice hearty soup for the winter! Pollo en crema con champiñones it delicious 🤤 I'm a fan of the steamed veggies they put on their plates! Good food 🤌

Some of the best pupusas around! We went late and the kitchen was closing already. There nice enough to throw a few pupusas on the flat for us tho! My Salvadoran gf likes this place so it gets a pass

Good food but terrible service. So unfortunate because this place was good. However when you ask for multiple things like more napkins or water and it never arrives it's frustrating. Especially when you need to clean your hands or wash your food down with something to drink. I never received anything besides the food, first order of beverages and napkins and utensils that were on the table when we sat down. If I do come back I'm taking the food to go.

Oh boy. When I tell you this food has no chance, maaaan I’m not kidding. And I mean it has the shortest lifespan when it gets in front of me. Closest thing I’ve had in Cali that reminds me of being in El Salvador. Chorizos are always perfect, plantains perfectly crispy but not burnt, Pupusas not so oily that you can’t eat the food. And decent service. Hats off to the chefs/cooks/staff putting life into this place. Love stopping by here to fill my belly for breakfast or lunch! Treat yourself. I’d add pics but I always dive in to the meal =) maybe next time

the meat was raw on some spots..and burned and rubbery on others ...the waitress has bad manners they where closing in 10 minutes and they wanted to get ppl out of there she put the cleaning rag she had just cleaned a table and chairs with and put it on our table right next to our plates as we were still eating and just stood there till we askd for containers to take our food home..grossssss! the shrimp and salad were good

Yesterday I got a chicken soup and mojarra and they were all burned, shame on me for not checking my to go order, be careful they reheat left over food I guess. My wife also stated the soup was so salty it wasn’t good, when you ask the waitresses they act like they don’t care.

Love love this place! It reminds me so much of el Salvador my dad's home. Food is on spot either traditional ways Papusas ste bomb and the tamales as well. Every plate so far has been great!

This place offers decent food, however, I’ve encountered some of the worse attitudes from their waitress. One particular waitress, that seems to be in charge of the others, appears to lack manners, communication and customer service experience. She also has an attitude and a tendency to murmur rude responses, when questions are made. She’s done it twice to me, but today was the last time. I am a paying customer, and the last thing I need is some entitled waitress’ ruining the moment. the food isn’t all that great to say the least. The place is unkept and dirty, food quality has declined in the past months. My wife and I decided to move on to other locations. Nonetheless there’s always a silver lining, we ended finding a place with great food, cheaper and great service. El Sunzal in Maywood i recommend it as a way better option.

I usually come here when I visit my mom and the past few times I went the service has been bad but today was enough for me not to come back. We sat down like we usually do and one waitress told the other one that we just sat down, so she came and told us very rudely that there is a waiting list. They were disorganized and I did put my name down but the other 2 waitresses were also rude. It’s been an hour and no call back but it’s okay because we came to el Zipote instead! Never going back to Paseo!

Great place! Great Service. Great food. I had a Sopa de Pata which is a Menudo type of dish but with vegetables and the popusas are a good size

This establishment needs to hire at least one more waitress. Specially during lunch time. They are so busy and don’t have time either to keep up with waiting list or cleaning tables not less to sit customers accordingly. I do not know the policy of the restaurant but, if I was only one person. Why I was taken my order way after they took the order of a party of 4 Vince they were waiting for one more person . I brought it to the attention of the waitress and she gave me Avery nasty attitude .. if they are frustrated or overwhelmed with a lot of people then the owners need to hire at least one more person.

La sopa de gallina estaba tan salada, que probablemente a una vaca le hubiera gustado. The service from the waitresses is poor, they all are in the counter, no one assist you at your arrival and no one let's you know where to sit. It looks that they are busy, but there is no one going back to the tables to see if you need anything or probably some more coffee at least, and the day of my visit was not as busy.

Delicious pupusas and caldo. I was sick over the weekend and needed a good caldo to lift me up. This place did not fail. I ordered ahead of time and worked out perfectly. My food was ready quick. Plus, the cashier that gave me my order had the most pleasant and kind attitude, greeting me with care and love. She would be a major reason for going back aside from the food. Nothing beats good service and good food when you're not feeling too good. Only thing is the parking and street repairs going on right now. This is not fault of the restaurant just community improvements going on so go with time. Enjoy!

Yucca was perfectly cooked and crunchy on the outside. Chicharron was a little on the dry side but MEATY. Pupusas are tasty, kept it classic with the lorroco y queso

Passed this restaurant every week and finally stopped by today to try out. It is a wonderful discovery. Delicious Salvadorian sopa de Patas , what a bowl of deliciousness. Balance flavor with just enough of spicy, the cow feet and tripe cooked perfectly. Service is very friendly even the restaurant got super busy when I got there at 2pm Sunday afternoon. Definitely will go back and try more dishes.

👍 We went all out when watching a movie and wanting to try their food. It did not disappoint. We ordered the mushroom pizza and added pepperoni, we also got their delicious pretzel that came with spicy cheddar cheese, a beef ribeye sandwich with fries, and a nacho plate. All of it was so tasty, howeve...
