First of all the Service was very good…!!! The waiter was very attentive and frequent check backs on my table to make sure my drink was always filled to the top… Fresh NAHN AND BUFFET WAS INCREDIBLE… no need to say more..!!! $16.00 all you can eat Buffet. If your in the area, this place is certainly a place to visit..!!!! Then I ordered a CHICKEN BRIYANI TO GO for my dinner tonight. Ehh, maybe it's what I ordered but I've had better Indian Food. Not to say it wasn't good but it feels like I paid $50 bucks for a bunch of Rice. Sorry forgot to take photos of the food.

Nice ambience, ample seating area with enough parking space. We visited for lunch buffet which was sumptuous and plentiful. There was enough veg and non veg options to choose from. Every dish was tasty and flavorful. Would recommend for buffet while nearby. Adults 14.95$, kids 9.95$ upto 6yrs (weekdays) which is a competitive price.

This place has always been our favorite Indian restaurant in the SFV and has been there for many years. We enjoy their chicken tikka marsala and naan breads. Their menu is extensive; I just posted some of it. Nice servers. Plenty of parking available in the front surface parking lot. It's located across from REI Northridge and near the Galleria Market. Dine-in or take out available. We always dine in. If you like yogurt, try the strawberry or mango lassi drink.

This is food. And the staff appears Indian. But it never quite seems like Indian food. Sincerely, someone who spent 1-2 months a year in India growing up.

Visited for the weekend buffet and it's definitely worth the price, very fair and the servers are very kind and attentive! I definitely wish it had more spice to it, but it was tasty enough to be content on filling my belly with seconds!! Nice atmosphere with lots of statues and music videos playing.

Fine food for the price point. There's just a couple rules: 1. Don't eat at the buffet 2. Don't order the salted lassi The atmosphere is a little awkward, and the staff is a little more awkward. Some stuff is better than others. This restaurant is probably exactly as good as you would expect it to be.

Just ordered chicken tikka masala and lamb both medium spice. Did Postmates, spend over $70 (have to pay separate for rice, naan and raita). Tastes like slop. No flavor, no flavor at all. taste watered down and stretched. Very disappointed. Had my mouth set on some flavorfully, full of spices Indian food and feel like I just ordered from a cheap franchise corner store. Waste of money. Chicken was under cooked. Trader Joe’s frozen Amy Indian microwave dishes taste way better than this. Dont waste your.hard earned money. I can’t believe I just spend $70ish dollars for just me and I’m home trying to figure out once again what I’m going to eat for dinner. They call themselves fine dining. I miss “Taste Of India” that used to be in Woodland Hill. Guess I will be heading to Trader Joe’s for their awesome frozen chicken tulla and lamb bandola.

What a horrible experience we had eating at this restaurant. The server was extremely rude. We kept trying to be pleasant to see if his mode changed but he would just throw the plates, straws and the rest of the stuff on the table. I was even scared to order more stuff because it might get him upset. It seemed like everyone was in a bad mood. I will never come here again.

Went for dinner. Food is good but did not come as spicy as we ordered. The hostess quickly took back to kitchen and spiced it up. Tasted much better. Staff is ok - attentive enough. My favorite is lamb saag which is very good with garlic naan. I like the Buffet, which is at lunch , best. Especially the rice pudding for dessert. I would give 3.5 stars overall.

I will only say yes prices do go up. But 50% ..lets be honest. Chicken is still fairly cheap. I can buy a package of chicken for $15-$20. Rice is even cheaper than that. (even basmati). So the real issue is * your mortgage/ rent is too high and you're passing that cost to your customers. The issue with that is... humbly I say...its not our fault your rent rent went up. If you're willing to price yourself out of the industry by raising your prices during a pandemic?? Its your right...but now you've insulted everybody that still suffer financially? So Okay but we'll definitely stop eating there its nothing personal. We have rent to pay as well and to raise your prices over 50% is all I needed to see to never step foot in your restaurant. No offense. Where else are you cost cutting?? Lastly, when you force us to cook it ourselves then guess what you put yourself out of business. Thanks but no thanks!

Fantastic Indian food at really reasonable prices. The portions are huge and I really have to give a shout-out to our waiter who was incredibly attentive and checked up on us often. Highly recommended for a casual and relaxed weekday dinner.

This place RULES! the staff don't have the best customer service but they ain't rude about it. The food is bomb and the price is well worth the amount you get. Would recommend the chicken korma. They also are on with how fast they refill your waters or drinks. Stay fresh.

Amazing food and service here! This terrific restaurant has been in the area for at least 20 years and has always been great! Generous portions, very reasonably priced and most importantly the food is terrific!

Definitely needs to improve their time management. Ordered at 1.30pm to be picked up at 5pm. The person who took the order said it will be ready by 5.15pm. Went there around 5.30pm. I was informed that it will be ready in 5 mins but it was really only at 5.50pm.

We will NEVER ORDER FROM VILLAGE TANDOOR AGAIN- average or below average food. Meat dishes often contain chunks of grissle or fat and sometimes bone. Our last order was missing a dish, I called and management basically said I was simply out of luck. They made a mistake and refused to fix it. Sorry but I can get sub-par over-priced food ANYWHERE. NEVER AGAIN.

I tried their weekend buffet; didn’t like it. If you’re looking for authentic Indian flavor then this is not the place to go. Many people like mellowed down flavors so could be a great place for such. Valley doesn’t have good Indian food anyways so in perspective I’d give this place 2 stars.

  • 2/5 Surabhi C. 1 year ago on Google
Food was below average, chicken seemed to be half-cooked very hard; gravy was very watery, with some uncooked onions & tomatoes floating around. Will not recommend to anyone looking to try authentic indian food

One of the best Indian places in the area. I have been coming to this place for years and they have never disappointed. The Samosas are excellent and my favorite go to is the Chicken Saag with Garlic Naan. It makes me hungry thinking about it.

We went for lunch today. What a wonderful experience! Staff was so accommodating and the food was fresh and awesome! I highly recommend this restaurant for it’s delicious Indian cuisine. They have vegetarian options that I love to order as well as delicious dishes for my meat/seafood loving friends. ❤️

My family love this restaurant, foods was delicious and service was good. Also their lunch buffet is a must try. A lot of foods and price was good. Plenty of parking.

The food is amazing! And the staff is so nice! I am a vegetarian and they have a great vegetarian and vegan menu. My husband is not a vegetarian. And he loves the non vegetarian food. His favorite is the Sizzling plates.

Everything in delivery was hot and fresh just as we ordered, no hassle. Curries were outstanding.

Please in the future learn the meaning of nargisi kofta so that future customers do not have to endure being served tough kebabs in butter chicken sauce like we were. Disappointed :(

The food here was the best Indian food I've ever had, and I've lived all over the country. The service was poor. Luckily the food was phenomenal and made up for it. We had the: Tandoori Chicken 5/5 A+++!! Garlic Naan: SOOO Fresh! 5/5 A+++! Chicken Curry: PHENOMENAL. I've never had something so tasty. Lamb Curry: Quite good! Everything was super-fresh and very tasty. The restaurant itself is very attractive and well maintained. Everything is clean and new looking, the decor is very pleasant. Our waiter was our only complaint. We were very hungry and it took him almost 10 minutes to show up at our table after were seated. Dinner took a long time to arrive, however, that may have been the kitchen, (but it was very fresh, so it was worth it.) The waiter was very unfriendly and not interested in working or customers what-so-ever. Overall I gave it a 4 stars because the food was amazing and I will go back.

A true gem in the valley, delicious and cost effective. Their vindaloo is fantastic, and their samosas are savory and pair great with the sauces provided. They have a buffet which I'm looking forward to trying someday as I usually just order take out.

Very reasonably priced lunch buffet. $37 for two including 2 soft drinks with free refill. Decent selection, fresh and tasty.

food's decent but the manager's a grump and keeps raising the prices nearly 30% every 3-4 months. lassi is an extra 3 bucks or so outside of the buffet price. water is tap and tastes like tap. the old sign said 11.99 or 12.99. now the price is off the giant signs lol wonder why? maybe cuz it's now 18.99? servers are nice. i shared my concerns with the manager but he didn't care. just lost a semi-regular customer who used to promote the place to friends n family and strangers. got 2 flutes of dry champagne with the buffet price; that was a plus.

Incredible Lunch Buffet -- looks small at first, but packed with flavours and fancy vibes :) Fruits, salad, Rice, Veggies and soups (I skip the naan bread; but they have that) I'm able to find enough gluten-free vegan options and feels chilled coz they don't rush you out the door (Buffet 11am - 3pm)

  • 5/5 Rekha D. 1 year ago on Google
Very tasty all you can eat Indian food. Could be spicier but I get that you don't want to go too spicy for a buffet style.

I really enjoyed the food. The music videos playing were a little unsettling to me because many of them had images with guns. The servers were kind. The restaurant was nice and I enjoyed the little statues. Price was fair. My husband and I have eaten here before and we tried a new dish and were glad we did. Very tasty.

Tried their lunch buffet, the food was pretty good. However, I'm only giving this place 3 stars because I asked for 4 naan (there were 4 of us for lunch) and when the bill came they charged us for the 4 lunch buffets plus separate charge for the 4 naan. I've been try many Indian lunch buffets, always order naan & this is the first time I've been charged extra for naan. It left me with a sour taste so won't be going back to this place

We go there for dine-in all the time and the food is very yummy. My favorite dishes are Chicken Makhni, Sahi Paneer with Peshwari Naan or Garlic Chilli Naan. Goat Biryani is very delicious and my kids enjoy it a lot without leaving me anything. My kids make me go there just to get their Mango Lassi. Best Indian restaurant in the valley.

We recently went for dinner with our friends and family members and ordered garlic naan, chicken tikka, mutton curry spicy and shahi paneer and few starter pakoda and samosas, all the dishes were delicious, we all enjoyed like anything, we will revisit again 👍

Worst food I ever ate in any Indian restaurant. They gave us old and spoiled food. I requested for biriyani and they gave me chicken kichdi. It was so watery. Not sure why they are spoiling the taste of India in US. There is no zero rating, so I had to give 1 star rating.

My first time here. We had the lunch buffet. I really enjoyed everything I tried. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back.
