The staff made this place great! We stayed here for a week and half while apt hunting. The bed was comfy, the room clean, and the staff beyond friendly. The continental breakfast was pretty big, though I chose to eat my own food. The pool was small, but people enjoyed it every night. Most of the hotel staff was very friendly and made staying in a single room for an extended period of time more bearable. I highly recommend staying here if you need a hotel in the Chesapeake area.

We were BLOWN AWAY by how great this hotel was!!! The room, beds, bathroom were all clean, soft, and beautiful. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, the people running the place were so kind and accommodating to me and my family despite my daughter doing her best to make messes wherever she went. We were there June 30/July 1- in particular, the woman running the front desk all night, the 2 women handling breakfast area and cleaning, and the man who seemed to be doing many things but wore a baseball cap. If you hire more people like these 4 folks you’ll have a perfect hotel.

My son lives in Chesapeake, and when we go to visit this is where I stay. There are lots of Marriott properties in the area. It's not the fanciest, it's not the cheapest. The rooms are basic, but very clean. Breakfast is standard. Coffee is good. I come here because of the staff. These are some of the friendliest and most professional hotel people I've ever met. (I'm a Titanium member, so you know I've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years!) I've stayed at very expensive Marriotts who could learn a thing or two about welcoming customers from this little hotel in Virginia (I'm looking at you Toronto Marriott!). This is the best place to stay in Chesapeake!

They were under renovation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Great weight room. The hotel was also safe. It was close to everything. I would go back

If there were 10 stars I would give them 10. The room had everything I needed. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was great. I have a herniated disc and I am not able to stand to long so they were able to get me a shower chair. I will be back.

I visited for a week on business. The hotel was immaculate. Breakfast was excellent. The entire staff was very welcoming and helpful, but one person in particular stood out. Miss Tracy at the front desk made my visit enjoyable by not only helping me with all of my requests but also by making me smile every day when I entered the lobby! I intend to return back when I make more trips; highly recommended!

The rooms and location are fine but the service is terrible. Continental breakfast ended at 10AM. Right on the nose, a woman charged with the kitchen, turned the lights off and told everyone breakfast was over, despite people still eating. As soon as they stood up, she sprayed the table even if people were still standing there gathering their things. As such, she sprayed people's arms, including mine with cleaner. When I asked her to not to spray people, she didn't acknowledge me at all other than just to say, "Have a nice day." - basically to say, go away, we don't want you in the kitchen area and I don't care that I'm spraying people (she obviously did it on purpose). This significantly lowers the quality of people's stay. We get the message loud and clear - we're not wanted at this hotel! We won't be staying again. The rooms and location were good, but there are plenty of nearby options that probably deliver on a higher quality stay for relatively the same price.

Room was nice and clean, that was the only good thing about this hotel. Pool is small and overcrowded, no adult only hours so kids run rampant all day, closes at 9 so no chance for any adult swims in the pool. Breakfast was mediocre, very small selection of foods. Front entrance was under construction, had to bring all our luggage in through the back where there is no parking. Could have stayed across the street at the hotel with no pool and probably gotten a better breakfast for half the price. Stay far away unless just for a night or two.

Very impressed with the staffs and cleanses of the hotel, especially Tracey and Jalissia. They made our stay very pleasant and the breakfast is very good too. Basic but very good. We highly recommend this hotel

Staff couldn't manage to change billing card to booker/employer even when provider w/email and direct # to confirm. Room bolt didn’t engage. Even with EVERY light on in room, still could hardly see to read--NOT a good spot for business travel. Breakfast was good. Higher price.

Horrible!! Don’t come here if you want to sleep in on weekends. If you love the sound of drilling and hammering in your morning wake up routine, this is your place to stay.

There's construction going on but the staff is very accommodating trying to make the best of it. Staff is very friendly and there's breakfast in the morning. Any inconveniences caused by the construction is kept to a minimum.

Do NOT get sick before traveling, they will make you pay for the room anyway. Read all the fine print, better yet...stay elsewhere! For a hotel under a lot of construction, you'd think they would help you out if you're sick and can't travel. They WILL NOT! Unless you KNOW you won't need to cancel or try to move the date of your travel 100 percent, stay elsewhere!!!!!

One of the worst experiences I have had at a hotel!!!!! Woke up Saturday morning at 7am to the sound of drilling, hammering, and other loud noises! Called to talk to the manager at the front desk and she informed me that the hotel was under construction, which they did not tell me when I made my reservation. They did not offer any apologizes, incentives, or reimbursements for not informing us of the hotel's renovation. Do not stay here unless you ask them are they under renovation first, or if you like to wake up to the sound of hammering and drilling. They definitely will not tell you and you will be stuck, restless! I haven't slept yet!!!!!!!

Tracy, the woman who checked us in, couldn't have been more delightful or welcoming for working overnight on Christmas Eve; her pleasant, cheerful attitude was a great start to a nice simple stay. Kelly in the morning was incredibly nice and accommodating as well. Even with things being under construction it was still a nice, seamless, and enjoyable stay.

Just ok. The rooms are only updated with a newer TV. The water pressure was terrible. The breakfast was like something out of a dystopian future where the pre-packaged meals provided supply just enough calories for sustainment. The hotel and lobby is laid out in a weird way. But the overall hotel location is ideal.

Bed was very uncomfortable. Our backs ached so bad the next morning. Pillows are too soft. No support for head and neck. We had turkey sausage and eggs for breakfast, but the food was very Luke warm. Even though the food was sitting on the warners the food was cold in some of the sausages. But the staff was very nice ! The guy who helped us with luggywas extremely nice .

I had problems in the bathtub. I have 2 titanium knees & need more handholds. The floor of the tub was a little slick. Also, needed room darkening curtains. I felt like everyone outside could see me. The breakfast was great & service was fantastic

Clean rooms, great breakfast, convenient location and friendly staff. I have to single out the employee at the front desk, I believe her name was Colette. She is AMAZING!!! From the check-in to the check-out and every time I would see her in between, she was such a delight. So personable, knowledgeable and a BIG asset to your hotel. Thank you for such a great experience.
