I don't even know where to start. The fact this place has been here 13 years and isn't the talk of VB blows my mind. I'm a chef and a foodie, I've been here my whole life, and make it a point to try places I haven't been at least a few times a week. I found this place by accident on Google Maps, I didn't even know it was here. I ordered the spicy tahini grouper. Absolutely amazing. I can't even put into words how good this was. I was instantly reminded why grouper is by far my favorite fish. Nice thick cut, perfectly cooked, and the rice and everything with it were perfect as well. For dessert, I had the Moroccan chocolate cake. I don't even like chocolate, but it looked good so I gave it a try. I didn't regret it. I can't say enough about how amazing this place is, and how great my server Naifeh was. I will definitely be back.

Food and service were absolutely amazing. Everything was seasoned so well but not overly salty. Ingredients were very fresh. Will definitely be back again to try more dishes.

This may be THE BEST food in Hampton Roads, and also THE BEST, down-to-earth service. I wanted to surprise my parents with a special meal to tell them some good news, but I couldn't be there because I'm living abroad and don't know when I'll be back because of COVID. SO...I asked Baladi to help me with a special home delivery surprise to my parents and, not only did they do it - Baladi went above-and-beyond and did it with class. My family is so grateful - thank you for making a special celebration even more memorable! (Can't wait to visit Virginia Beach again and stop by for dinner!)

Good service, lots of great authentic food with unique flavors and spices! Fun and flavorful drinks. Mezze platter is a great way to try a little bit of a lot of things. Excellent caprese salad and lamb shwarma. Baklava and Kunafah desserts the perfect way to end the meal!

My favorite restaurant in Hampton Roads! If you go here, you will not be disappointed! Firstly, they are 100% consistent. I always know my experience will be great here. Incredible fresh, healthy food. Nice staff who appears to truly enjoy their job. (We had Rachel the other night and she was very nice and knowledgeable). The ambience is excellent. They recently renovated and it's so nice inside and the music is great. It's very clean and smells amazing. There is plenty of parking and conveniently located in Hilltop. I'm so grateful this place exists!

Delicious lamb kabobs and vegetables. Even the homemade lemonade was worth it. Service was a bit brisk, but efficient.

If you’re looking for a distinguished Mediterranean cuisine place, you found it at Baladí. My friend and I were traveling north and craved falafels. While looking for vegan and vegetarian friendly restaurants we found this gem. Explosion of taste in our mouths. Got their Muhammarah as appetizer and the Falafelencrusted Tofu as main meal and it was plenty for 2 people.

Celebrated our wedding day here! My husband and I love this place. Everything is always delicious and crafted with love. Never had a bad meal here. Food is so good that I'm always eager to try something different. Servers are always efficient and the owner makes his rounds often. It's a lovely atmosphere and amazing food. Lovely cocktails! And I want to add that the food is quality and home cooked--i read a few other reviews that complained about being charged extra for various things: support your local businesses and the hard work that goes into products. When things are prepared well and made well, that costs money. If you want exceptional food, that comes at a SMALL premium sometimes and anyone that truly appreciates a place knows this. Worth EVERY penny.

Had a wonderful experience! 3 out of 4 of us greatly enjoyed our meals. The 4th person had the spicy tuna wrap. He wasn't impressed as it wasn't spicy at all. Frankly...he had that at a Medi cafe! Come on! I had the Kufta Meatballs. Delicious! The hummus & Baba Ganooj was so tasty. My other friend devoured the Kabobs. His wife had Moussaka and absolutely loved it. The food was delicious. They also cater to Vegans & Vegetarians. The servers were kind & very helpful. There's seating indoors & outdoors. Indoors, the seating along the room walls have great bottom & back cushioning. Our backs appreciated that! Lol. They also have a little store upfront to purchase some of the items enjoyed during the meal such as imported herbs/spices, olive oil, olives, cheeses and more. This is a lovely establishment. I can't wait to return!

Stopped here after seeing the reviews when traveling to the beach from Richmond. Server recommended the chicken kabob vs the grouper. It was excellent. The food all has top notch flavor. Vegetables and chicken were tender. My wife enjoyed the vegetarian options. Service was great. We will absolutely stop here again on our trips to the beach.

Absolutely 💯 delicious, wonderful atmosphere and customer service. The waitress was so kind and had patience for our 1st time. It is extremely clean 👌 and has a homey feel. The decor and music made me feel like I was somewhere exotic.

Hands-down one of the top restaurants in the area. The rice served with the kebabs is top 5 rices I’ve had in my life for sure. Wait staff is informative, friendly, and fun. I’m Greek so I know good Mediterranean food, didn’t expect to find a restaurant of this quality in this area! Drinks are great too.

We recently celebrated my hubby’s birthday with a delicious meal at Baladi’s. From start to finish—a perfect evening. The service, drinks, and food all were fabulous. We cannot recommend this wonderful restaurant highly enough. Thank you for a delightful evening!

We had a really nice time at this place. The vibe is amazing, really delicious Mediterranean food. The staff was really great as well, they go out of their way to make sure you have a nice time. We visited this place on our long weekend vacation to Virginia Beach and would surely be coming back on our next trip

Great vegan options, a little pricey but the falafel encrusted tofu is amazing. Don't forget the vegan dessert!

Love this restaurant for Mediterranean options around Virginia Beach. The menu was extensive and the food was exquisite. The kebab platter and seafood options were great. Finished off with delicious homemade baklava. Great atmosphere and service.

I have gotten a lot of recommendations from friends to try this place out, especially when I have my fave go to Mediterranean restaurant on Witch Duck Road (equally good and the difference is just ambiance, really - Baladi is slightly upscale, better for dates). My friend was already waiting at the bar when I got there. I could see she was showered with plenty of great service, her drinks flowing, friendly chatter going. We both sat at a nice booth in the corner and chatted away; the staff was super patient coming back multiple times when we got lost in conversation not having had the time to look the menu over. Now to the food - I ordered their ahi tuna with couscous. Fresh ingredients, rightly spiced…my friend ordered the fish of the day. The portions were generous. We ordered 3 desserts - I highly recommend the kunafa where you get shaved phyllo dough baked with cheese and pistachio sprinkles (check out my photos!) baklava and date cake were a 3 stars, with baklava was so stringently served in small portion.

Was deciding between Baladi and Saladworks for a quick lunch. Glad I chose Baladi for their fresh, flavorful food and excellent service. My server was Rachel and she was awesome! I ordered the lamb shawarma wrap with a side of their chickpea salad, and everything tasted wonderful.

We reached at 2:30pm for a late lunch. Environment was quiet, not many people. Ordered meat ball meal. Food was good. However the service was slow. Took almost 45minutes to arrive.

The food was amazing! I cannot express how amazing very thing was. I’m looking forward to going back! Adrian was a great server; very kind and informative!
