Central Florida staple now here in VA Beach! So excited! These folks have awesome tacos, burritos, flautas,and the QUESO DIP! AWESOMENESS! Stop in you won't be disappointed! Kid's meals are on point too!

The food was absolutely delicious and I came on taco Tuesday! It comes with two tacos, but don’t be fooled the tacos 🌮 are large!! They have a hot sauce little bar with a variety of hot sauces that you can purchase a full bottle of! Super easy go to the counter order your food and they give you your drinks. Then you can decide wheee you would like to sit and they bring the food right to you! As well as leaving your trash on the table when you leave they come out and grab everything for you. Now please still be mindful to not leave messes and Rudy up after yourself as a common courtesy. Nice way to practice social distancing and providing quality customer service with great food, and great prices. I will be back! Thanks again

I was impressed! I came with a friend and enjoyed the burrito bowl. Not a fan of the black beans not being rinsed. 🤪 It is more mushy than beans. Loved the hot sauce choices. Tried 5 different flavors/heats. Loves Jason's mom's sauce and the green Sally sauce. Very impressed that each sauce has a very distinct taste to it. So many places just add heat and no flavor. Not so with Tijuana flats! Try them all! The chips are wonderfully seasoned and the perfect crunch. There are people that will come by and check on you and ask if you need a drink refill. Absolutely loved that they have a ceiling tile contest occasionally, where locals can purchase a ceiling tile for $5 and paint a picture they are inspired to do and have a chance to win a $50 gift card. Adds such a fun atmosphere! There are no trash cans. They have people that come by and collect the trash after you leave. Please be kind and don't leave a huge mess. I saw one table that did that. 😵‍💫 And they are such kind people.

So can you guess what my first picture is? That's chicken tacos.... I don't know how this is acceptable. I pay $12 for 2 tacos... they each have no more than 1oz of meat.... I literally took my first bite and all I got was lettuce.... this used to be my favorite place and now I feel they are just stealing from us, i had to pay for more meat when i mentioned it to the server.... yes their sauce bar is good but I guess I'll just buy the bottles and go get tacos somewhere that's worth it... 😕

Excellent service and great food with fresh ingredients. The staff is always super friendly! I ordered blackened chicken flautas to go which come with sour cream, guacamole,& queso. Also receive a small bag of tortilla chips. The flautas were still warm and crispy when I arrived home. Absolutely delicious!! There is an inside and outside eating area. Inside is very colorful and bright! Outside is nice with umbrellas attached to the tables. If you like to experiment with different sauces, there is a sauce bar inside with specialty sauce flavors ranging from mild to hot hot.

Stopped by for a quick lunch break while training. These guys always have a fun atmosphere with creative cartoons and artwork inside over the walls and painted ceiling tiles some from local patrons. Biggest thing there service is top notch super friendly staff and efficient. Also the food was quick even though we had a large party. The hot sauce bar is fantastic from mild to ghost pepper hot and worth partaking. Group favorites include the quesadilla, taco bowl, and the chimichanga. They also have a pretty good selection of brews depending on the location. Cheers!!!

Ordered my food to go and a white claw while I waited for my ride. Went to throw my first drink away and get one more because my ride was taking a few extra minutes. I couldn’t find the trash can so I asked her, with her back turned she said leave it on the counter, I said ok but I was going to order another one. Again without even looking up she said I’m clocked out the other girl can ring you up, ok cool. I sit down and a guy walks in. She runs over and says you would wait til I clocked out to come by and proceeds to take his order. She sees me look over and then starts telling the other girl “I wouldn’t ring her up because I was clocked out and now she sees me ringing him up” then laughs. All of this wouldn’t alone, while being super childish and unprofessional wouldn’t have necessarily made me write a review but all of that in addition to the food tasting like old Taco Bell just extremely overpriced, definitely did. I attempted to eat it but the unmelted cold shredded cheese quickly overpowered the flavorless rice and chicken. Pick a struggle guys…

Service is absolutely wonderful. If you haven’t been there before, you order at the counter, they give you your beverage, and then they bring your food to the table when it is ready. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. There is a hot sauce bar of varying heats. The food is very good. My only disappointment is that they dropped enchiladas from the menu.

My friend and I had wanted to try another restaurant but it was closed. But what a wonderful happenstance because Tijuana Flats was there beckoning for us to try it out! And I am so happy we did. As soon as you enter, you are transported to a very colorful and lively place with colorful characters on the wall, a hot bar on the far left side with all kinds of spicy sauce for you to pick from! Neat concept is that their menus are a few steps from the door so you can peruse instead of standing by the order counter. Makes for expedient service. And talk about service, ordering and getting your order served we’re in record time. I ordered the garlic (grilled) shrimp bowl. The shrimp was nicely grilled, wish for slightly seasoned taste. The bowl had good serving of rice, corn, avocado, greens, etc. the ingredients were fresh.

First time being here, I ordered the cheesy steak flautas which came with a side of chips & cheese. it was soooo delicious. Very seasoned and flavorful. There was a hot bar that served different hot sauces by a scale. It was little but cute and comfy in here. Atmosphere & Food taste were both 10/10

DELICIOUS! The chips were super tasty alone and even tastier with the guac! Food was fresh and yummy and the service did not disappoint!!!

Love this place! Great clean food that leaves you feeling good instead of greasy! Hot sauce bar is awesome. The atmosphere is chillaxed and staff is awesome! In particular the staff on Thursday night 7/28. The place was busy but the employees were still so kind and helpful and the restaurant stayed clean! Great team!

Called and placed an order of nachos for my daughter on our way home from practice. The guy taking our order was SO concerned that we would be there before 9 pm. We walked in at 8:45, and the order was not ready, which was fine. We got home and opened up the nachos to discover it was only chips with shredded cheese. My daughter said they are the worst nachos she has ever had. I highly recommend going anywhere else in Virginia Beach for texmex.

I have passed by this restaurant several times in the past, thinking I should try it one day. I'm glad that day was on Tijuana Tuesdaze. You get 2 tacos and a drink for $6.99. The tacos were large, and the price was very reasonable. The shells were crispy and light without completely breaking up on your first bite. I had chicken and carnitas. They were delish! The service was great as well. They have a hotsauce bar with a range of sauce from sweet to hot. The only downside was the naming of some of the sauces. I can't imagine taking a child there and hearing them say they want the "Smack my sweet A@! & call me Sally sauce. " Unfortunately, there are others named like this. Update: I went back and tried the fish tacos. Oh my goodness... they were superb!! The pickled onions and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside fish, were the stars of the show!
