Foor and service was good. Coffee was absolutely awful. Tasted like it had been sitting on a burner all day. They offered me flavored creamer (Coffeemate) but I drink my coffee black. Quality coffee doesn't need a bunch of cream and sugar to taste good. So I would not get that again. Though the food was good and service was friendly and fast. My son ordered the shrimp and grits and I ordered the 185 plate with French toast, bacon, eggs, and potatoes. That was a little pricey for what it is. Those ingredients are very cheap and the cooking methods are basic so not sure why it cost $14 or $15. I might return to try lunch at some point.

185 is amazing. The service is fast and friendly, the food is absolutely delicious, with generous portions and the prices are incredibly reasonable. The quality of the food is exceptional and fresh with the owner on site, hands on in the kitchen or greeting guests. Every server has a smile no matter how busy or hectic. Plenty of parking so that is not an issue. If you know what time your arrival is, you can opt to make a reservation. The outside seating is clean and quaint with banana trees, palms and flowers. Tables have umbrellas to protect from sun. We HIGHLY recommend 185. It really is a great experience.

Our brunch experience at 185 during our return journey from the Outer Banks was truly wonderful. We arrived at the perfect time to avoid the crowds, and the food was simply outstanding. The staff was exceptionally friendly, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. Their Shrimps and Grits dish was a standout, and we absolutely can't wait to revisit this place next year.

What a great place to grab some grub. Just came here for a late breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Fast service, fresh food and great staff. What else could one ask for?

The 185 brunch was delicious! We decided to come out and try a restaurant in Poquoson, VA...I was not disappointed! Our server Miranda and the owner were very nice. It was packed so we ate outside but the weather was perfect. I got the 185 and he ordered the honey butter chicken biscuit. Both delicious and cooked perfect. Please give them a try!

The food is delicious! The creole grits are the best. We had the 185 Breakfast and the Sausage burrito. The mimosas are really good too! The weather was nice so we sat outside. The water feature was nice and the place isn’t overly crowded. Nice background of just quite conversations. We will be back!

Brunch with the Ladies was just what I needed to start my day. I had a peach mimosa and the hangover plate. The portion was large and I was not able to finish my plate. The beacon was extra crispy and the grits were amazing. There is a patio outside but we dined inside. I enjoyed the vibe and the little gnomes around the place. **when going to the women’s room make sure you pull up on the handle and not down. Must visit!!! 🤤🤤

I found this place when searching for non-chain restaurants in the area. I went in today for breakfast. Everything was a hit from the cleanliness, service, and the food. I ordered the 185 plate which everything was delicious but the smash browns were out of this world. I will most definitely be back to try lunch soon!

Epic brunch spot. No wonder all the awards, best in the peninsula etc, this place crushes it. Fantastic food, drop your fork good grits, fun mimosas. Warm cozy country kitchen vibes with lots of light and a cool side garden patio. Can't recommend more, 10 out of 5 stars!

Great local eatery for breakfast and lunch! Amazing staff, incredible cook, delightful owners. If you want great, quality food, this is your place! Best brisket I've ever had. Not Mike

I highly recommend this place! I visited on a Wednesday at about 1pm and was easy to get a table. I also noticed they have very nice outdoor seating with shade. I ordered the breakfast burrito with "smash" browns. The burrito was fantastic with eggs, "smash" browns, onions, and peppers. The only reason for 4 stars versus 5 is my side of smash browns were slightly cold.. The burrito was piping hot, though. I will definitely be visiting again in the future.

I had their Hangover Plate and a bloody mary. The drink was simple but tasty with a definite kick from the spice. The biscuits and gravy and potatoes are probably the best I've had in this area. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors melded well. The only minor gripe I have is with the pool of oil/grease that came on the plate which I assume is run off from the eggs. (I soaked it up with a napkin before snapping the pic/eating). Overall and enjoyable meal and I will definitely return. Second visit and I wasn't as impressed. The Smoked Brisket Sandwich had an unappetizing amount of fat on the meat and tasted reheated(?). The smashbrowns also weren't as well cooked or seasoned as the previous visit. A couple of the workers are quite friendly but service was a bit of a miss with individuals more interested in chatting than checking on tables.

This place is great!!! If you heard about it, don’t wait just go. We were greeted by the owner because she was short handed at the time. She was so nice! But we ordered the Fried Chicken Skin BLT, smash browns, grits and like a Mediterranean grilled chicken sandwich. You can’t really see what nothing but lettuce on the BLT because the husband started eating before I could take my pictures. He knows in my mind I’m a food critic 😂. She came back with the brisket and more grits for the husband to taste because she said he looked like he was still hungry 😂. He said it was sooooo good!!!

We visited on a Sunday around 10am after seeing a friend on Facebook share their page/posts. It looked amazing in photos and was equally as amazing in person. A cute little spot in Poquson with fun decor and seating. We ordered the Hangover Plate and The BLT on a biscuit. I would have ordered the specialty dish that had the fried chicken skin but that wasn't available until after 11. I'll try that next time because we will definitely come back. My ONLY suggestion (not a complaint) would be to have the sweet tea sweeter :). Highly recommend to check out!

Only found out about this place from rave review travel recommendations online. Scored big on this sweet spot. Had the brisket burrito with smashed browns. My bride had the French toast with eggs, smashed browns & bacon. Amazing flavor, outstanding service, cool vibe with a beachy feel. Sat indoors but there were a couple of tables outside. Also had clean restrooms. Definitely want to hit this one again but we'll bring some more family to enjoy the great food.

It’s not every day that you come across a gem like this breakfast haven! The 30-minute wait might seem a bit daunting initially, but let me assure you, every second is a precursor to the symphony of flavors that await. Once seated, we were immediately immersed in a cozy, welcoming ambiance that set the tone for an extraordinary culinary experience!! The food the service and the atmosphere was topnotch !! Definitely be back soon again!

They were nice to me. And their fries....ZzBOMB! My order was brisket Burrito and fries. Lord! Talk to them kindly if you want more meat or any adjustments. It was so good. It's not really wheelchair accessible with all the rocks. I thought i might add that but they do have outdoor seating which I thought was good for us plant and nature people on a nice day. My husband and his mom are from Louisiana and quite picky eaters because of it. I was so nervous about trying a new place but it was seasoned so well not too much but not too little... Man, they scarfed that food down so quickly. I say, just Try it!

Hands down best brunch spot in Hampton Roads! The building is so cute, I love the landscape, and the food is to die for! The cheese grits are the bees knees!

First time visiting and really appreciate our server giving us a small sample plate to help us decide. She brought us brisket, chicken salad, SOS gravy, and some grits. I decided to order the brisket burrito and it was delicious! The blackberry chipotle jam was a nice touch. For $16 I did think it would be a little bigger. I will say that it was filling. My wife ordered the Western scramble and it was a bit underwhelming and bland. Both of us agreed the grits were amazing! Overall outstanding service and a nice atmosphere.

As a long time customer of this establishment, I recently visited 185 Restaurant with high hopes, as their menu looked incredibly enticing as always. However, my experience was extremely disappointing, as the restaurant did not honor their menu. Several of the items I had hoped to order were either unavailable or significantly altered from what was advertised on the menu. As today is Mother's Day, my wife's first at that, she, our newborn, and I all looked forward in sharing this special day together at our favorite local brunch spot. I even called ahead the day before to ensure the same menu used daily would be available and the hours were the same and the representative stated it would be. L On such a beautiful sunny day our day was darkened when we arrived to find out (after waiting 30 minutes) that the menu presented before us wasn't the daily menu. When we asked for the daily menu they said they were only doing what was on today's menu and couldn't accommodate us. This place is known for their amazing burgers and didn't have any of what we were looking for on this menu. Just to make sure I didn't hear wrong, I even check their social media, website, and Yelp to see if this menu change was advertised and it wasn't. As a long time customer I don't appreciate our favorite local brunch spot ruining this special day for our family. We are seriously considering never returning here again due to this sour taste...or lack thereof...left in our memory. Please do better. Thank you.

Food: classic American style cafe with all the fare of home cooking. It was all a little on the sweeter side with more than generous portion of butter on some of the dishes (fried chicken and biscuits, and pancake). Service: extremely friendly staff. They were willing to make small conversation for the best things to do around town. Atmosphere: it had the small town cafe vibes. Stuff on sale from artisans around the local area. Plus it was decorated to make it feel like your grandmas friendly home.

👍👍 They're not fancy like some places, and the college crowd doesn't patronize it, but they have great food, service, and so much more at a really good price considering today's inflation. We did get the most expensive item in the menu and still only spent $60

👍 Nice local restaurant with nice selection of American Mexican foods. Food was good and hot. Service ran a bit slow but it was pretty crowded. We visit every time we are in town. Recommend.
