Overall we were happy with our recent stay. The grounds are beautiful, and the hotel itself (we were in Federal Commons) is very well kept. Proximity to Colonial Williamsburg, Busch gardens and many other attractions make this a great place to stay, especially for families. The vibe is very laid back. I’m knocking a star because we were asked to take out our trash before we left, which is the first time I’ve ever had to do that in the dozens and dozens of hotels I’ve stayed in throughout my life. Pro tip: if you’re looking for a good pizza New York Deli and Pizza nearby is next level 👍🏼

There's not too much to complain about. The pool water is never cold, the staff is friendly, and many of the guest respect the property and honor the policies. No stray cigarette butts all over the place and the grounds are beautiful. I will say that some cosmetic touch-ups are needed here-and-there, and the mattress we had was fantastic despite the less worn [hump in the middle] that I noticed because I tend to sleep in the middle if the bed (the hubby stays on his side no matter how big the bed). The only mistake we made was not requesting an upper floor for the views.

This is the usual high standard of Marriott resort accommodation and facilities. Our only slight disappointment is that the pool near our accommodation is closed after Labor Day, and there aren't many sun loungers in the small main pool area. We did really like the movie theater/theatre - it seats 20 and we were given free water and popcorn!

Overrated; terrible service. This property does not grant typical loyalty benefits for Bonvoy status - it’s a time share property not a regular Marriott. The focus at check in is not related to the guest’s needs; instead, they are focused on, and almost obsessed with, scheduling you for a timeshare pitch. Our room was supposed to be cleaned weekly but was not. I had to call multiple times to get the room cleaned, and was warned there would be a charge to change the sheets. What type of hotel charges you for fresh sheets once a week? I rented bicycles and one bike was not working properly (brake pad was out of alignment and hitting the rim and dangerously close to the spokes). When I returned the bike and expressed my concern, the employee smirked and said the bike was fine, showing no concern that someone could get hurt on the bike. I want to ensure this review documents their indifference and negligence in case something happens in the future. We were also promised a gift for attending a time share presentation. When we went to check out, the front desk associate looked at me like I was crazy and said he did not know how to find that or give us the credit. We did not receive the gift. Overall, the front desk staff had a sour, indifferent demeanor. It was one of the least comfortable interactions I’ve ever had at a hotel (with the exception of Braedon, who clearly cared). When I needed help to have something printed, two separate employees told me they couldn’t help and that I should just use the business center. Reasonable, but the absence of hospitality made me dread interactions with them, like I was such a bother. On the positive, the rooms are nice. The gym is okay. We didn’t try out the pool or other amenities. The hotel is nicer than many in town, but definitely not one of the best and I would not return. The Lodge and Inn are both better properties. If you have kids, it’s not a bad option if you want an alternative to the Great Wolf.

We stayed in the one-bedroom villa. The room was beautiful and worth the price. We even extended our stay by one day. The pictures do not do the place justice. First and foremost, the service was great from check-in and throughout our stay. The room had a jetted tub, nice shower, a full kitchen with utensils, plenty of cookware, and glasses. We also were in close proximity to all the Williamsburg attractions, restaurants, and shopping. Lastly, we visited in Decemeber and they had plenty of activities available like crafting classes, a movie space, and on-site restaurant. Our only complaint was that the indoor pool was supposed to be heated to 85 degrees and it was much colder. Was a great place to visit in the winter, but would love to experience this place in the summer.

MY goodness this is among the nicest Marriott Resort/Clubs I have ever stayed at. I found the place wonderfully relaxing with a ton of walking trails and neighborhood streets. I found the employees just incredibly friendly and trained properly and of course always helpful to guests. The location is spectacular nestled near the well thought of neighborhood called Ford's Colony. I'm building a new home there now and find this hotel great for when we need to meet with the builder. Superb location and great golfing.

Beds are really hard but the property and amenities are perfect! The jetted tub could use an update because in multiple rooms we’ve stayed they seemed a little yellowed but still clean. Staff are constantly within reach and very helpful and friendly. They have thought of everything and this is a great stay for families, couples, and solo retreats. We tried the splash pool, playground, ping pong, horseshoes, theatre, and walking trail. Loved the movie by the pool and can’t wait until the fire pit opens. I recommend the 2 buildings closest to the splash pool if you have small children.

The hotel is beautiful, offering a wide range of fun activities for children. The spacious and clean rooms added to our pleasant stay. It's worth noting that the price is on the higher side, but the quality and experience you receive make it a worthwhile investment. Overall, a great choice for families seeking a memorable and enjoyable vacation.

Our 2 bedroom condo was very tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture and artwork featuring the founding fathers along with other reproductions of the Colonial period. The rooms had plenty of space to stretch out and the kitchen was stocked with all things to cook with including a dishwasher, toasters and coffee pot. The beds were comfortable and had several pillows and nice linens. The living room has an electric fireplace with a 30 minute timer and a big screen TV. A full size washer and dryer were a nice surprise as all the other resorts we have stayed in had the very small ones. Inside the welcome center is a small bistro that serves sandwiches, beer, wine and cocktails. Its very handy but on the expensive side and they will not deliver to your room unfortunately. I enjoyed a couple of the activities you could sign up for, one was free and the other had a reasonable fee. The grounds are beautiful and surrounded by a golf course, country club and beautiful homes. Overall we had a very nice stay at this beautiful resort! Our main problem was noise. From the people next door to the trash truck at 5 am to workers blowing leaves early in the morning. Maybe if our room hadn't faced the front of the building and parking lot , it wouldn't have been so bothersome. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the Christmas decorations added to the enjoyment of the season. We had an enjoyable week there and will go back but will bring earplugs, just in case! Five stars for most and four because of the noise and no delivery from the bistro.

Nice rooms. A little out of the way for Bush Gardens but not too bad. Not a stay for amenities for sure. Very pretty surroundings especially at Christmas. The one issue I had was the maintenance folks began painting the doors on the hallway side in the morning. Got a bit of paint on my jacket but the fellow was able to get it off. Not sure how you get all that done without offending guests but a Saturday morning didn't seem to be the best time to do it. All in all i'd stay there again.

We are here the first week of December and the Christmas decorations at the Marriott Manor Club are beautiful! The staff here go above and beyond to welcome you and to accommodate your needs. The furniture and beds are not only beautiful but comfortable. It’s off the beaten path therefore quiet and peaceful but not that far a drive to the historic district. With most of our timeshares, we don’t participate in the activities offered but the Marriott Manor Club is the exception. The activity area is well-managed and well kept. There is a movie theater which is comfortable and has wonderful offerings during the day and in the evening of both movies and short documentaries. There are books and games you can sign out. A computer for guests’ use; a ping-pong table and game machine for kids are also available. We also attended a live performance by a Teddy Roosevelt re-enactor which was quite enjoyable. There are also craft workshops offered. Above all, the staff in the activity center is outstanding, each and every one of them. They make you feel so welcome and see to it that you find what you’re looking for. Sandy did a great job helping me and other guests make holiday wreaths. This is our third time here but won’t be our last.

I had a great time with my family over 5 days. The room was immaculate and the staff was very helpful. Great location with everything worth doing well within reach.
