Great place to have breakfast. They have their own syrup which is really good. There are several options in the menu and all of them come with a bunch of food for a good price. Crew is very careful and always around in case you need anything. You can pay using their own website by just scanning the QR code provided along with the check, it’s very simple, quick and practical.

Open fireplace! Oh man, my grandparents had a log cabin in southwest Wisconsin that had an open fireplace. Walking in the front doors to this restaurant/gift shoppe hit my olfactory nerves just right and the nostalgic feelings pulled me back to Christmas dinners and presents at Grandma and Grandpa Tanner's Cabin! The food was as good as you would imagine and the service was as genuine and welcoming. My wife and I enjoyed meandering through the gift area where they had decorations for fall, Halloween, and my wife's favorite... Christmas! We even found some really cute clothes for our kids! We can't wait to come back. We just wish we lived closer...

I was on my way home from setting up my daughter's apartment in Des Moines, Iowa over the weekend. My husband had reserved a room for me at the Hawthorne; Cracker Barrel was just across the parking lot. After checking into the hotel, I drove over to the restaurant. It is within walking distance, but it would be dark by the time I finished the meal and I didn't know the area to determine if I'd be safe walking back alone in the dark. The staff members very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere cozy and I didn't feel awkward dining alone. The food was perfect for a "starving" woman. Not too much. Not too heavy. Perfectly prepared. I chose the catfish, and, although I couldn't eat another bite (like I said the amount was just right) I was wishing I'd ordered a second piece just to continue to enjoy the flavor. I highly recommend the catfish. (I've had cravings for it since then.) Of course, the store portion of Cracker Barrel is the other half of the pleasure of dining there, so I did a little browsing and shopping before heading back to the hotel. The cashier did enough small-talk with me during my purchase that when we said good-bye I felt like I was saying good-bye to a cousin after a family reunion. Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite travel stops, and sitting in the rocking chairs on the "porch" afterwards is a nice way to "let the food settle" before heading to your next destination.

Worst cracker barrel we've ever been too bar none. Asked for the manager to show them the food that was brought to our table and what was wrong with it, they never came. So asked again when they came back to see if we needed refills (glasses had been empty 15 mins already) and when the manager finally came, I showed them how 4 of my chicken tenders were all fried together as one. And she looked at me like I was crazy for complaining about that and said it happens all the time. It's Monday at 1 pm they aren't even busy at all. Our food even came out 10 mins after we ordered but they're too busy to drop the chicken tenders in individually she says. Just continued to argue back and forth with me in front of the few tables near us until she finally said she'd take it off the bill. Just very rude. Server was so slow too. I'd give the location another try had the food been good but it was worse than the service. Especially their fry portions now are just so small. The fries in the picture are two full sides they say. Waste of money and time.

Had a fairly decent waitress. However, the biscuits have gone down in quality. And now you have to pay $0.50 for a little bitty. Tiny cup of a condiment to go on the biscuits ... In my personal opinion, Cracker Barrel has gone downhill since the pandemic. Because now we don't get to enjoy the things we use to enjoy there, including a frosted mug..... Wake up cracker barrel and bring back the goodness that you are known for and quit going downhill like the rest of them .....

We just had their take home turkey dinner, and fixings Absolutely EXCELLENT. There was more food than we could eat. Very generous portions, and everyone enjoyed it immensely. We'll done Cracker Barrel!!

Went to dinner with my mom, she chose to go here specifically to have meat loaf. There wasnt too many people there when we went so they were not busy. When the server brought us our food my mom noticed that the meatloaf didnt look all the way cooked. So as she cut into it it was more like mush, light pink and clearly uncooked. When the server came back, my mom told her this wasnt cooked and she wouldnt even serve this if it was her. The server responded with “its just the lighting”!! Didnt offer to bring another dish out, no apology and didnt take it off our bill. Very disappointing and no plans to go back

Decent food, great breakfast menu. I know the company has had image and discrimination issues in the past, but our local location doesn't seem to have those problems. The clientele and the staff are very diverse and everyone is extremely friendly. Whether eating in or getting take out, the service has been great - worthy of a robust tip.
