First time camping here. The staff was so friendly and very helpful. The campground was clean. The pool, playground and mini golf were great. The camp store was well stocked and we enjoyed the planned activities with our grandkids. We are planning another trip there for next summer and will be bringing the kayaks and tubes for the creek.

Not what we expected. When we made reservations we made reservations for a campsite by the river, but when we got there they said they were fully booked and did not have any sites by the river and we ended up on a campsite on a hill very close to other campers. Tent camping on a hill is very uncomfortable to sleep and to cook since our table was slanted, not ideal for a butane stove. People were walking their dogs through our campsite throughout the day. Wasn't that great of an experience here.

This was our first time camping here but sure if we'll stay again just because of the difficulty we had arriving. Its a nice size campground with plenty of things for kids, but their location isn't great. Traveling with a camper or motorhome, be careful coming in as the roads leading here get very narrow in spots. I recommend coming in from the south as coming in from the north could possibly pose a problem. We had to detour around low bridges coming from the north. Also, the campground is on a hill, which makes some of the spots unlevel.

This is a great campground for families and couples. Great things to keep kids occupied. Water to fish and enjoy. Nice areas for dogs to run. We enjoyed the little hiking trail. The bathrooms were were clean and roomy. Staff was nice as well. Sites were nicely sized and you don't feel cramped in.

I found the campground to be safe and very clean. This was our first time camping. We usually use our RV. The bathhouse and bathrooms were clean. The canoes were really fun!!! The butterfly garden was small but inspiring. The grounds and flowers were well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything that was under their control was well done. Excellent campground. As a family we will return. Thank you for a great experience!!!

We camped here for 4 days. There was a vintage car & motorcycle event in Coatsville and was the closest campground to the event. We stayed in site 47. Big lot for both the RV and our truck pulling the motorcycle trailer. Campground is on a hill so it was hard to get the RV leveled. Picnic table slanted as well. Nice Walking path, once you got down the initial hill to the surrounding river. Pet friendly! Dog park as well which we used--thank you for that!! ❤️

Very nice KOA campground. Nicely laid out and extremely well kept. The “standard” we now measure other KOA Holiday locations by.

We stayed at this West Chester KOA campground twice over the last two summers and would NOT stay here again as tent or RV campers. Our site was covered in thick oozing mud that holds water like a pigsty and we had to wear muck boots the entire time and take them off to go inside our tent and teardrop RV. It wasn’t just one part of our camp site- there was not any path we could take to get to our vehicle or tent where we did not have to go through thick muck/water. It was too gross even for crocs. Muck boots were required to safely navigate this disaster of a campsite. I understand that rain happens but decent drainage and adding gravel or an adequate supply of wood chips is expected when you charge $128 per night for a camp site. Our site was disgusting and it will take us countless hours to scrub the layers of muck off of our gear. Things we liked: the pool, the store which has everything you could want including eggs, s’mores supplies, ice cream, gifts, and fun toys for kids. If you forgot to bring it, the store probably has it. The bathrooms were well maintained with hot showers that have good water pressure. Our kids enjoyed the fun games and canoeing the Brandywine. The staff were friendly although they never did fix our site even after we asked them 3 times. The last time, they finally dumped some wood chips in one area of our site but it wasn’t enough and our site was still really gross. During our stay, a lady actually fell and broke her leg because the ground in front of her tent was so treacherous and muddy. You have to see the pictures to really “get” how deep the muck is here. You get stuck in it. Also, our daughter’s iPhone was stolen from our campsite. She is special needs and should not have left it out but still… that really sucked especially since her phone is the controller to her cochlear hearing implant. She then had no way to control her hearing implant. We did file a police report. The sites are really close together so, if you like peace and quiet or even a shred of privacy, this is probably not the vibe you’re seeking. We didn’t mind this since our site was shady with lots of trees right and right on the Brandywine. We actually enjoyed the loud music our neighbors played in the morning because they had a great playlist (mostly reggae and some rock) and we were already up anyways. This is a place families come to have a great time. If our site had been decently maintained, we would have loved to come back. But, we won’t be returning.
