Professor Luiz is great at teaching. The school has huge tournament size mats. LPBJJ has hosted several tournaments and seminars at the school. The atmosphere is nontoxic. Ego’s go bye bye at the door. Always fun to roll there.

The gym is great. The people are great. The atmosphere is great. Every day you come, you can expect to learn. You can expect to train. You can expect to grow and get better. Luiz cares about his students and wants everyone to reach their full potential. That is what matters most to me in any gym I go to. I would rate the gym a 9.5/10. Can anything be better? Yes, maybe. I would say areas of improvement would be working on more variety of techniques. This may be my fault as a student, but I’ve been there for over a year and haven’t developed a strong bottom game. Also, during live rolls, it would be beneficial to do situational rolls. Currently, all rolls usually start on our knees. It could be better to develop standing game, starting in certain guards, and other different positions to help develop and enhance our overall game. Lastly, the mats could be cleaner. They should be wiped down more often because I usually get hairs in my mouth/nose. There is also always black stuff/lots of dust in my nose when I go home and blow my nose. Overall, I am very happy to be a part of the gym. I will continue to grind, and I’m looking forward to the next time I step on the mats. - Jason Gebara

Great place to come learn bjj! Everyone is super friendly. I had no experience before coming here, yet was always treated with respect. The professor is fantastic and the place is clean. Lastly, there's a kids program where all the kids look like they have a great time. I'm proud to get to go there.

Luiz and his staff are supportive and all of the students here are friendly, skillful and make you feel like family the second you walk in. I highly recommend training at this gym.

Luiz is probably the most skilled black belt in the area and can prob teach a chair BJJ whole community is super helpful and the rate of growth is probably the best out of every other gym I’ve trained at

Awesome gym run and owed by Luiz Paulo. He is extremely down to earth and humble. Always doing what’s in the best interest of his students as he also understands the demands of daily life for adults and showing up late for training is perfectly acceptable as being late is always better than not showing up. He has created a super comfortable and professional atmosphere for anyone who is willing to train in the art of Brazilian jujitsu. Definitely recommend this place so come and have fun!

Excellent place to practice Jiu-Jitsu, Luiz Paulo has an excellent background and is able to transmit his experience in a didactic and progressive way, impossible not to evolve! Besides, the gym is very well located, easy to access, and very spacious! I am talking specifically about the gym in Norwood / MA, but this is the standard of Master Luiz Paulo's work, if you enjoy Jiu-Jitsu, I recommend him without reservations!

I met Luiz Paulo in 2010 in Brazil when he was still a blue belt graduating to purple. Without a doubt, his competence as a teacher is indisputable. A great teacher, champion and now friend. I am honored to have been awarded a black belt by him, and to accumulate all the knowledge and training acquired over these years. Its schools are of a very high standard, in every sense.
