Located in the heart of Wynwood is this cozy & minimalistic Japanese restaurant. The service was very attentive, Erin our server made the experience even greater! We tried the Deluxe menu and added other items à la carte. Every single item was delicious and it was a high quality fish but definitely the portions are extremely small, therefore the price ratio is high. Must Try: Wagyu A5 sushi (OMG, I would return for this), Squid Salad, Wagyu tartare, Salmon Sashimi. Overall great place for high quality & exquisite sushi!

This is the most remarkable experience I have ever had with sushi. They bring the experience, quality and service to a whole new level. We had the full luxury experience set of one served after another. Their fish was purely fresh, taste was superior and just everything was over the top. I have eaten at dozens of places and this is question the best! They set a new standard!💥💥💥

They have a large variety of fishes, everything was so fresh and delicious. We ordered small appetizers and everything was really good. The restaurant is nice and the mood is very cool. Prices are moderate. Appointments should be made to get a table. I highly recommend this place.

OMAKAI sushi provided me and my wife a great omakase experience. We opted for the highest tier of omakase, which consisted of roughly 15 pieces of nigiri and other delicious items like their hand rolls and miso soup. We have done some amazing omakase experiences that are Michelin rated in the past. This spot might not reach those levels, however for the price, it’s 100% worth it! We wish however that the omakase came with a dessert. We had to pay for the matcha tiramisu (which was delicious). Service and our waitress were great. Highly recommend this spot when in Miami!

DON’T USE SOY SAUCE! Every bite is perfect and can stand alone without anything added. The service was great, everyone was friendly and the sushi chef created tastes that just make perfect sense. The fat tuna cut with ginger was out of this world! Don’t cover up the perfect taste with soy sauce. You’ll thank me later.

To be honest, it certainly wasn't bad. But it wasn't especially memorable or outstanding either. Perhaps I came with too high of an expectation, but this restaurant, while not doing anything wrong, also seems a little lackluster compared to other high end omakase restaurants. Some flavour pairings were also a bit weird in my opinion. Overall a bit overrated in my opinion.

While in Miami this a place that should be a must if you like sushi!! Try the Omakai experience!! Is an Omakase restaurant where you basically let the chef guide you through the flavors while they explain the fish and sauces being used!! Out of all the sushi places I've been this is definitely the top one so far!! The service was great I was blown away by the whole experience!!

It was definitely money well spent considering how affordable the menu is as it does cater to different set omakases. I was expecting a little more in terms of flavour wise. Overall it was good along with the sake flight

Had the most amazing dinner here! The staff were so kind and friendly. I couldn’t have asked for a better time! The food was incredible, we decided on the Oma Deluxe and the Heaven sake flight and it did not disappoint! I’ve been to similar restaurants like this before but this one stands out because of the amazing service, selection of sake, and ability to make dining reservations!

Superior quality fish ina a very traditional Japnese menu. We loved the seaweed salad an the saba nigiri. The saba was served slightly warm, juat perfect! The salmon was also great quality fish. The iced marcha tea was also a delight. Angel was our server and he was great. The atmosphere was ok.

Francisco was welcoming, thorough and very friendly. I appreciate how much he was able to give great recommendations. Definitely made our experience in Wynwood memorable and will definitely come back for the Omakai/Omakase Experience 🤩 Thank you Francisco!!!

I ordered the Omakai Deluxe and a couple more nigiris! It was a nice experience and the place was really nice! Celebrated my mom’s bday there! Btw, I am missing more items from the deluxe. It brings more food than this!!! It is worth it!

Eddie was great with us, above and beyond. Fish was really fresh, the food was like an explosion of flavors in our mouth. Caviar, oyster, crab hand roll and salmon sushi, all high recommend.

Friendly staff and very nice, modern decor inside. The food was decent but not the same level of quality as decor. Very very salty and the edamame was char burnt and covered in salt so much that it had little other flavor. There was one roll that was very delicious with the sauce but on the 2nd round of that roll it came out way over salted. Would not return.

As a sushi connoisseur, its hard to beat this quality for price point. We had an amazing experience with the Oma Deluxe and topped it off with some happy hour items. Service was great, fish was delicious and fresh, and ambience was on point. Highly recommended!

My friend recommended me this place so we came on a Sunday night. Amazingly fresh sushi and friendly service. I got the OMAKAI experience platter, it was absolutely delicious. They also have an amazing sake selection! we went with the Silent Samurai, it was the perfect combo. the place is located in the heart of Wynwood, right under Astra, next to House of Mac. Very nice ambience and friendly service. Franco and Nico made it extra special. This is hands down the best sushi in miami. If you’re looking for good priced in sushi in wynwood - OMAKAI is the place to go.

Definitely we had amazing dinner with friends here. Super friendly and welcomed staff, high quality food, variety options of sake( I was offered to try small shots to find best taste for me). We tried the omakai experience and it was great decision. Price are acceptable. I would like to put 10 points. Recommend for all my friends.

Would rate the sushi 7/10. Experience 8/10. Great food but have had better. Excellent service and greeting. Clean, spacious, calm environment. Intimate space and not too loud. Servers knowledgeable about the food items. One item was remade without any pushback. I would recommend for date or friends date or solo dinner. Would come back. I ordered the deluxe experience. I was full at the end.

It starts 12:30, don’t go there too early. Everything there is good especially urchin. Though I don’t like sweet shrimp, don’t like the taste and sashimi is not very fresh.

OMAKAI Sushi is hands down the best sushi experience in all of South Florida. First and foremost, the service is absolutely top-tier. The servers are kind, funny, respectful, and always knowledgeable about every single ingredient that is presented to you. The omakase experience is just that, an experience. Every dish is carefully sauced and portioned. The fish is immaculate and so fresh it’s like you ate it right off the boat. I have been to OMAKAI four times, and every single time it gets better. They change elements of their menu seasonally, and improve on every single aspect of every dish. If you opt for the vegan omakase it is clear how much attention to detail the chefs put in, as seen in the freshness and seasonal selection of vegetables. Overall, OMAKAI cannot be beat out at its incredible price and quality. It is worth the drive to Wynwood and is a must try.

*** Omakai Sushi *** Kind of small space. Lousy service, forgot to re fill water and to bring extra ginger. We ordered 2 Omakai Experiences. Some of the nigiri did not taste right, still kind of like a fair value for the prices. Sake and mochi ice cream were good. Give it a try !!!!

Had a very enjoyable and tasty omakase treat, the Omakai Experience. I did sit at a table instead of the bar, luckily the staff is excellent and the plate timing was on point. Definitely enjoyed some excellent sashimi & nigiri. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I ate everything as served and did not add or remove anything.

If I could give this place six stars out of ten I would. I love sushi, and I love Omakai sushi! It’s one of my favorites. The sushi experience Knocked my socks off! The sake was, hot and cold, was incredible. The fish was extremely fresh and tasty. Must eat here.

Absolutely amazing experience. You can tell by the smooth tastes and scents that this restaurant uses prime quality raw materials. The staff was super polite and the service was pure excellence. I would totally recommend Omakai for an authentic and wonderful Japanese sushi experience.
