A rude and greedy driver delivered some batteries on 19 August, on Whalley Avenue in New Haven.. The car repair shop is next to the McDonald's on 250 Whalley Ave.

Sharing my father's experience here as a warning to others! He went in to purchase an Interstate battery, checked price online and price was verbally confirmed by kid at the counter. Upon arriving home he realized he was overcharged approximately $20 for the battery. No problem, mistakes happen. He calls and was told to come back in and they would adjust the price. He arrives back, where father and son then deny him the price adjustment and tell him that prices online are not the same in the store and that they're just trying to make a living here. Unfortunately the battery had already been installed in the vehicle or else he would have returned and brought his business elsewhere. Everyone is "just trying to make a living" nowadays but there's no reason for dishonesty, and no reason to invite someone back into the store to turn around and essentially say just kidding. Seriously, take your personal and commercial business elsewhere and save yourself a headache

They had the lowest price on a new battery I could find for my car. Excellent customer service, but most importantly, they resolved my issue with lightning speed. After I discovered my car battery was dead I called many places to search for the best deal and I just happened to call them last. I called them a half an hour before their closing time and they gave me a great price on a new battery and told me if I made it to them before they closed they would also install it for free. I got there 10mins before closing and they installed the battery faster than it took me to get there.

**Updated** When calling in today our experience was much more pleasant. Grain was friendly and helpful and got a battery out to us within a couple of hours. Much better than the last couple times we interacted. Another shoutout to our delivery driver, Steve. Steve's a great guy, always friendly and takes care of us. Thanks for the great service guys!

Bought an 8D battery for 400 and returned an old core. Ended up not needing the new battery so I brought it back untouched two or three days later. Guy said he had to charge me a “restocking fee” of 10% and claimed credit card transactions needed to be covered. All in all I paid this guy $50 to take and old battery from me. And lost the ability to use the old core to subtract another 50 from buying a new battery. He did give me two marine couplings for free that I lost which is why it isn’t a one star review.

Delivery was awesome! Driver was very helpful. Asked where I wanted the batteries and brought them into my shop. Customer service was great ordering the batteries, took the order over the phone and delivered them for 5 bucks.

Fantastic service. Speedy installation. Total pros. Would recommend and will return.

This is the least customer friendly merchant that I can think of! They are nasty, unfriendly and insulting individuals that own this center. I would NEVER patronize this store again!
