This is a well-organized place to skate in the winter, with two serviceable rinks and amenities to boot. It’s classy and fun to skate in Prospect Park, and a hit for families, friends, and dates. Drinks for adults and everyone else available. Reasonably clean restrooms. Good views if you walk around. Locals and tourists certain to smile.

Great place to spend time and play with your kids. Love that there is a ice skating rink that is turned into a sprinkler for kids during the summer. Many places to sit and enjoy the cool breeze. There is also a restaurant to get food from and bathrooms to use. Highly recommend for anyone to wants to enjoy the park or have some play time.

Beautiful place to do ice-skating. There are different sessions of about hour and half to two hour. Very good price including rental. My children really enjoyed it and had fun. Very helpfull and friendly staff. We can not wait to go back.

A great spot to skate if you're in need of a rink. There are lockers on site and you can rent gear as well. Tickets are reasonably priced and I suggest getting them in advance.

Wonderful outdoor ice skating space! Pretty busy but it is outdoors. Easy to get tickets and skates. The cafe is nice. The price is reasonable. The closest train is the Q train - Parkside Avenue station. It’s about two blocks away. Check this place out before they close out the Winter Season

It was nice. We found street parking relatively easy. It was a beautiful day. They hold 1 hour and 30 min sessions. They have snacks and beverages for sale with a bunch of tables and chairs to sit at. Everything looked really clean and felt it. There was sanitizer all over readily available. Their bathrooms were open and very clean. Kids had a nice time.

A good place to spend time with family and friends. You can have a party near the rink there are tables and a cafe. Covered and open-air rink - which is a huuge plus

Took my family here to ice skate on a weekend trip to NYC , we went in the beginning of December and there was no available times at Rockefeller or Central Park , so I took a 20 minute ride from Manhattan to this park and it was just fine , there are two rinks , one is covered the other isn’t, the rink that is covered is a few extra dollars per person , so it’s a little less crowded and is a bit bigger , the total for three people and skate rental was $75 and I think it’s about 2 1/2 hours a skate time if I recall per session , we walked right up on a Saturday and there was available times so , you don’t have to worry so much about reservations, but I guess they never hurt eighter way , we did find street parking across the street from the park , I did have to go around the block a few times , but was able to luck out

I had the most frustrating time at the skate rental store. It was a disaster from the get-go. Every single pair of skates I rented was in terrible condition—broken buckles, worn-out blades, you name it! I spent more time switching skates and struggling to put them on than actually enjoying my time skating. To add insult to injury, we purchased a hot cocoa voucher for a warm treat, only to be served sour, expired cocoa mix. When we asked for a replacement or reimbursement, they made it seem like it was our fault and barely compensated us for the inconvenience. It was an absolute disappointment! As if that wasn’t enough, the snacks they offered were another letdown. The chips were stale and tasted like they had been sitting on the shelves for ages. For the exorbitant prices they charged, the quality of their amenities was unacceptable. Overall, the experience was a complete waste of time and money. I expected a pleasant skating outing but ended up with broken skates, expired hot cocoa, and stale snacks. Save your time and hard-earned cash—steer clear of this place unless you're in the market for disappointment!

This is simply an amazing place to spend the day with kids. Splash pad- free, roller skating rink- around $13/ticket without rental, bumper cars-$10/ticket/10 min session, if you were skating you pay $5. Skating and bumper cars are in the same rink. Splash pad right next to it. We did it all and then walk in the park and ball throwing. There are more things to do (bike rental, boat rental). You gotta choose as day goes fast there. Great!

I went ice skating yesterday with 2 friends. One of my friends cut his finger with the glass around the rink. My other friend (a nurse) and I went to ask for the first aid kit to stop the bleeding and clean up the wound. The manager took us to the first aid room, which was a complete unsanitary mess, with unrelated items all over the place, dirty used paper towels in the sink, barely a place to sit, and guess what? No supplies to clean the wound. The manager just stood there annoyed as my friend (the nurse) asked for saline water. They had none. The manager just said he didn’t know where things were and seemed clearly annoyed that he had to look through things and help out. He just stood there waiting for us to leave instead of helping. Get your act together because this could have been a child with a more severe injury.

Went skating and it was very nice. Quiet with lockers to buy. Just no walkers to help support fellow skaters. Nice animal life to interact with.

Such a fun way to get out of the house, get fresh air and move about with family and friends. You have the option to skate indoors our on the outside rink. There’s also a nearby cafe to grab a warm drink, a light snack, or burger.

Spacious, modern, and easily accessible! The ice rink is just about the best way to get some cool and breezy exercise into your day. On a sunny Saturday afternoon in early December, there are quite a few people in the rink, but it does not feel crowded. The music is upbeat dance songs, the lighting is dreamy, especially with the starry ceiling lights. All COVID-19 measures are strictly endorsed.

My favorite place to ice skate in New York City. An overall much more low-key vibe compared to the Central Park and Rockefeller Center rinks—but that’s the Brooklyn way! Admission is cheaper, too, although I believe the prices listed on the website are slightly outdated—It’s actually $1-2 more expensive. I bring my own skates. Purchasing tickets at the rink was super easy, and my group only waited 5 minutes. I’ve gone on Saturday afternoons and the rink rarely gets as crowded as places in the city. I prefer the covered rink because it’s more spacious. Locker rentals are another $3 dollars. The rink is well maintained. I definitely want to come back during the spring and summer months when the rink gets converted into a rollerskating rink!

The place is great. To get to choose between the inside skating ring or the one outside which is great. All lockers are always taken, so getting one is a challenge. The cafe that’s forever to make simple sliders so bring your own snacks instead. A lot of people waiting over half an hour for very simple food. And the manager just doesn’t care and just makes fries and can’t complete a simple order. AGAIN, bring your own snacks.

The ice skating rink is an okay place to skate, but there are a few drawbacks. The time restriction of only an hour and a half is annoying. Why can't they let people skate as much as they want? But, whatever. You should go in the morning when there are fewer people so that you don't have to deal with annoying crowds. The service is good, and the rink is just the right size - not too big, not too small. It's a great spot to work on your skating moves. Oh, and the new figure skates they got are nice, but why didn't they invest in new hockey skates? The current ones are ancient and only come in size 10 and up. How are the little guys supposed to play?

Nice outdoor place for roller skating. They sanitize rental skates immediately after use so they’re always available unlike at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Although they’re sanitized, they kind of smell. Next time I’ll bring my own skates.

This is a great place to skate. Every time I come here they have good music and the necessities. A lot of kids come here. Call and/or check the schedule for skate sessions. Locker system is a little janky but for the most part this place is a good spot to come and skate. Its accessible and they have a concession stand with several activities in this beautiful park. I would recommend this place.

5 stars. Don’t understand negative reviews for this place. Speedy rental queues, competent personnel, decent skates, not too crowded, overall good vibe, hot chocolate great, chicken fingers with fries also great. I should also mention the cafe has foosball, pool, air hockey and other games. That was my truth, my lived experience.

Favorite place to skate, usually the skates are good and no issues with the workers ever. Have my own skates now and come here often! So pretty and overall no complaints

You must go here. It is so much fun. The staff is great and friendly. Even if you have never skated before there are lessons available. 2 weeks ago I reserved time there with a group and it went very smoothly. I was helped by Randi Boroughs. Thanks.

wonderful, and great nice staff. BUT $120 for me and 4 kids to skate on a Sunday afternoon. This was built with public funds. Is there no obligation to make it affordable? There are about 20 people using it right now - not crowded at all - is the price keeping people away? This seems to be a trend - jack the prices up to Premium, the $$ difference covers the reduced participation, and the few get a better experience - this is NOT OK for an institution that takes tax dollars of the many. Now, let's tell Amtrak the same thing.

Excited for the kiddies to go to their first ice skating, got there around 2pm. There was not much of a wait for the ticket booth, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I was a bit disappointed there wasn't any penguins left to rent for the kiddies to maintain their balance. Overall good experience will be back during midweek hopefully its not too busy and I can rent a penguin

It sets up two lines for the guests but only the line who pays more can get in. I was in another line and I waited for almost two hours and watching people crossing me(in the expensive line)to get in the tickets center. It‘s so unfair and they just want people pay more.

I haven't been in prospect park in such a long time. Was babysitting my grandson and he wanted to go to the park so I told him to walk with his skates. By the time we got there I was told that the skating ring closes at 6p.m. and he would have only half-hour. Surprisingly they was open for like 15 to 20 minutes longer. The jist is for the short period of time he had fun skating and see him on there made my day 😄 ☺ 😊 ❤

We took ice skating class this winter season. The staffs and instructors were very nice and skillful. There are two rinks. The covered rink is the size of hockey rink. The open rink is even bigger. Each open skating session is 1.5 hours and a 30-minute break is for redoing the surface. If you join the group class, ice skates rental are included. There is also a cafe onsite serving hot drinks and snacks. Private room is available for party.

The management doesn’t care at all about visitors, and they’re uncommunicatable. I had a frustrating experience booking lessons. Also, don’t buy tickets online since it has additional fees and you still need to wait on the long line to get wristbands. It used to be my favorite place to skate since they have lovely rinks, great safety guards and coaches. The management needs to take a better care of this place and people.

You have to pay for the whole equipment every hour and a half and if you’re not familiar with this the staff charge you anyway without warning you that you only have a few minutes b4 they change for the new bracelet I pay $100 just to enjoy 30 minutes inside thinking I could go back later but no I couldn’t get inside they wanted me to pay again even though I was just there a few minutes and when I went to talk to the staff they didn’t care they just wanted me to pay again, they don’t even have signs or anything to show you how their hour and a half system works very disappointed I hope this helps anyone if you’re planning to visit this place ask for every single detail b4 you pay
